My mom used to mix the foam with a little butter for us to use on biscuits. No waste and so tasty.
Oh now that's an amazing idea.thank you for the information
I always enjoy your shows.
Have fun with this collaboration.
I have to first tell you how much you have become more comfortable in front of the camera. I absolutely loved how you started this video. You made it feel as if we had just walked into your kitchen! I love how you are so genuine and make it so inviting. That BlackBerry jelly sounds so delicious and I can’t wait to try it. Thanks so very much for sharing this recipe and experience in your kitchen. I love that your mother in-law is there to provide advice and support. You are so lucky to have her on your journey with you. 😊
Excellent video Leanne. Glad you entered the collaboration. Always great to see what you can jam it up with.
LOL at the beginning “oh you’re here on time”… thanks for this video LeAnne
This looks gorgeous hun. Great to have a recipe you can make even before blackberries are in season. Thanks so much for sharing and being a part of the collab xox MAHOOSIVE HUGGLES xox
Blackberries is one of my favorite fruits. Sounds like you have a great helper in the kitchen with you. Thank you LeeAnn for all the great recipes and projects.
You are so welcome
Fun opening!!! 😀Nothing better than homemade juice… then jelly… mmm hmmm
Awesome Leanne.Looks yummy and so pretty. That lightning scared even me.Have a blessed day.
Thank you! You too!
Grape jelly is our favorite.
Thank you for all the extra canning reminders for us newbies. The jelly looks good and I am glad to know I can make it off gardening season. >Susan
You are so welcome!
Hi LeAnn, great video! This looks like an easy way to start off canning! Tfs 😊
I loved the intro. That was unexpected. I also loved the "Canning for Beginners" approach. There are many times we have new canners even though many of us assume everyone should know. Loved the Mother Nature video bomb too. LOL Blackberry jelly has to be one of my favorites. Great Video. THANK YOU!
Always enjoy your videos Leann. Thank you for sharing your recipes. Val C
I like that steam canner. Looks great, as always, LeAnne.
Thanks so much!
My mom and grandma always made blackberry jelly. It has always been my favorite
I love the intro to your video. You really are getting creative, which makes your videos more wonderful all the time. This was a great informative video. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you so much!
Jelly was the first thing I ever canned, almost 60 years ago. I never made blackberry, though and can't wait to try it. Thank you 😊
Blackberry jelly is my favorite! I’m so glad there is a collaboration for jellies and jam.
It’s nice to see you Judy! It’s been a while. I hope all is well!
MennoniteFarmhouse, life has gotten hectic but I always watch your videos.
Using your home canned juice is probably the best flavor!
Absolutely, I fixed that last cup of juice for Howard and he loved it.
Jams and jellies are the best projects for beginners and so much fun. Thanks for sharing.
This truly looks delicious! I bet it does taste good. Great video thanks for sharing. Many thumbs up. Stay well & safe.
Thank you for your video. I love having another use for my juices. Also love how simple.
Excellent tutorial. Simple and to the point. Thanks for showing us.
Glad it was helpful!
Will jam it up myself this summer, probably with strawberries and black raspberries. Thanks for your he,p.
Thank you for your teacher spirit. I can’t wait to do this myself. All the best from Texas.
You are so welcome!!
Lovely project, LeAnne. I bought a jug of Concord grape juice just to make jelly and need to get it done before it gets too old. Thank you for the inspiration.
Great job! God bless you.
Love blackberry jelly. We're getting blackberries now. I've been freezing them. I'll have to make some jelly now. Thanks for the recipe.
Used to love eating the foam that was skimmed off, it was like eating candy. Haven't made jelly in ages
What a wonderful video. I've got a few ladies in my life that are saying they need to get canning. I'll share it with them
Hi LeAnn, I just love your videos. You explain everything wonderfully and make things look so simple but tasty. I have tried quite a few of your recipes for canning. Thank you for everything you do!
Wonderful!
Absolutely delicious! Awesome how to video, Leanne. Thank you
Glad you enjoyed it!
Yummy, that looks delicious. I can't wait to start making my jams and jellies...
This jelly looks great! I love the fact that you #SayYEStoSafeCanning! I didn't realize that you're ambidextrous. The fact that you were born left-handed means you're extra intelligent. That's what my left-handed mother always told me, at least. We use butter pats to keep the jelly free of foam, too. Steam canning is so fun and saves valuable fresh water. Love that!
Thank you!
What a nice jelly 😍 I need to make jelly next 👍🏻 Thanks LeAnne ❤
This is awesome to be able to make jelly from juice. I'm going to have to try my hand at this. Sometimes with my disability it's hard to do different processes so the more things I have to do mean sometimes I can't make that item. But this takes a bunch of steps out of the jelly making process for me. Thank you so much for this video.
I learned something. It's easier to get the foam out once the jar is filled. I usually try scraping the foam out in the pot and never do a good job of it. Thanks.❤
Yet another jelly that I can't wait to try. Thanks for much for sharing
Hope you enjoy
I love your channel.. I just canned 31 jelly jars of blackberry jam today..
I just got a juicer this last winter. I'm so excited to try it for jelly and for canning juice. Thanks for reminding me. Definitely doing grape and blackberry!!! 😊
You are so welcome!
Excellent video! Thank you for bringing up the importance of knowing your altitude and adjusting process times! That looks so good. We might need a steam juicer for our blackberries. Have a great day!🎉❤🎉
Glad it was helpful!
I can grape jelly for my husband with no issues. Apple jelly is my nemesis! It never sets and I end up with apple syrup everytime.
LeAnn thank you great video for beginners have a blessed week❤
Thank you! You too!
Ohh this looks so good!! Thank you for sharing this recipe!! I’m going to have to try this! 😊❤
Thanks for sharing 👍 😊 looks awesome 👌
Thanks LeAnn not sure what looks better that Jam or the Juice. Blessings and Prayers
Delicious..do you like the New Ball 350 recipe canning book? Thinking about getting one..LeAnne your canning videos are so well done...😊❤
It has a lot more recipes for using your home goods than anything but great instructions and still has new canning recipes.
We’ve never been big jelly eaters but this does sound good.
Wonderful--blackberry flavor being used in a jelly. Thank you so much. And you explained the steps so well. Thank you.
I love quick and easy recipes. Thank you so much God bless have a great weekend.❤🙏
Yes head space is important I made pie filling and I siphoned everywhere. I love blackberry jam I did whole berry jam last year
Yummy, blackberry jelly is so much better than jam with all the seeds.
Like that this recipe uses less sugar than most. Thanks for sharing.
Directions say you can use 2 cups instead of three if desired. I think I forgot to mention that.
Thanks for the video
The jelly looks so delicious and easy to make
My pleasure 😊
How did I miss this colab? First one I've seen. I love jam and jelly so I'll have to go find the playlist.
The Playlist link is in the description box!
@@MennoniteFarmhouse yep I found it. Already watched the first week!
I love your Chanel I learn so much thank you for sharing and God bless
Thank you so much!
Great video. Thank you. You're motivating me to can again.
You can do it!
I would love to taste that blackberry jelly, i never had to get a chance to taste it since no blackberry in my place.
Awesome Video LeAnne! Love the steam canner!
Thanks so much!
Awesome video. Im sure the jelly will be great this winter.
Yes it will
Love me some blackberry jelly❤
I need to find some blackberry juice. I remember having a hard time finding cherry juice years ago for a bing cherry jello mold. Maybe Amazon or a friend with blackberries. Thank you for all you share with everyone!!
Nice beautiful thank you for sharing
Thank you! Cheers!
I'm picking blackberries next month. I want to make jelly, juice and pie filling.
I love them on a salad!
Homemade jelly and jams are so flavorful compared to store bought. It is so worth it to spend the time making it yourself. Plus, it's so easy!
Nice. Making jelly from juice is perfect for beginners. I still like it too. Thanks for participating and sharing .
Thank you so much 😊
That looks great I made some muskindine juice to make jelly with wonder idea
Hi miss leann.i like to use white vinegar on my paper towels when I wipe the rim of the jars.it seems to me like it gets the rims cleaner but I'm looking forward to trying to make this jelly
Hi Leann Love your videos
Thank you so very much!
I haven't made much jams and jellies, but I guess its time to start to do so! With everything on the horizon better to have sweets on the shelf!
I won't use any lids but FORJARS lids anymore. Ball became problematic using covid and found these FORJARS without not one single fail in 4 years!
That is awesome!
I actually found some blackberry juice awhile back and bought it to make jelly. I’ve don’t it with apple juice. This video prompted me to get busy making it. I need to make you a counter quilt. I made some a couple years ago for a bunch or my RUclips friends. They’re quick and very useful. Love your video as always sweet online friend.
Oh I was about to make my own counter Matt… I just need time away from the kitchen
@@MennoniteFarmhouse I understand. This is a busy time of year with the garden coming in. We gotta pick it and preserve it while it’s coming in. So thankful.
Wonderful!
Hi LeAnn! Nice, blackberry jelly. I used to make my daddy pineapple jelly with juice, he loved it. Thanks for sharing and have a blessed weekend!
Thank you for sharing this recipe, and thanks for all the tips. See you at the giveaway😊
Hope you enjoy!
Another great video!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Very enjoyable. Thank you.
That looks good.
I’m so gonna make this!
The jelly looks delicious!
Everything you make looks so good
❤❤❤thanks for sharing !!!
Thanks for watching!
What a great and easy jelly recipe! It looked so tasty with that pb!
Thanks so much! 😊
Yummy Blackberry jelly - I always see others making jam but never jelly, thank you for sharing. There's that sweet helper again in the background. Love how you explain the canning process, I am not that graceful. Did your electric flicker? I will be trying this jelly as soon as my blackberries get ripe - thanks again for sharing!!
Yes for some reason we had lightening right beside the house and the electric went off for a second.
Love jams & jelly that are quick & easy to make. As always yours looks delicious.
Thank you 😋
I appreciated your plain and wonderful jelly demo. I won't be able to participate in the live give away since it will be held on Sunday, but it will be fun to look through the recipes for anything interesting (meaning plain and wonderful LOL. Heck, I haven't even been brave enough to try Pomona's yet and rarely even use store bought pectin. I am too old timey maybe.)
I understand especially since it’s Sunday noon for me.
that's a new was i've heard that pronounced....i learned to be left handed because i broke my right arm...and a few other things happened...anyhow...::: gets his spoon ::: YUM!!
The only other jelly better than blackberry is strawberry. Either or I love both.
I’ve been busy making jam this month too! It’s an awesome collaboration & I’ve saved a lot of jam/jelly recipes. ❤ Your Blackberry jelly looked scrumptious 😋
Yay! Thank you!
I never have any luck with grapes .
Wow was that ⛈️ thunder????😲
Yes That was just right beside the house. Scared me ... but the show must go on!
Years ago my family used to top the jelly jar with wax then the lid then the ring I am wondering if that was a process from farm life many years ago I have not seen anything posted regarding canning wax One of the local stores here still sells it though.
I just Googled canning wax LeAnn They say paraffin wax is no longer recommended It does not prevent mold growth from what I read Just sharing😊
The jelly looks delicious! I don't have a steam canner. Can this be processed in a hot water bath and if so for how long?
Ten minutes.
@@MennoniteFarmhouse Thank you so very much! Love your helpful videos!
you make it look so easy. I was reading up on a different steam canner and it doesn't work at 7000 feet. I have made jams in a water bath canner, but I want to conserve water and was wondering if I can pressure can jellies and jams. Do you know if it will work?
No it will not work. Here is some information www.thespruceeats.com/high-altitude-canning-1327430
www.uidaho.edu/-/media/UIdaho-Responsive/Files/Extension/county/bonneville/fcs/food-preservation-making-altitude-adjustments-when-canning.pdf?la=en&hash=835956B36F8CF3A4240FBB10948986A60E59D4B8
@@MennoniteFarmhouseBummer, thank you for the websites. I appreciate your getting back to me.
Does the jelly not have a problem setting up with the humidity from the rain?
I didn’t think that would be an issue but sometimes it takes some jellies more than three weeks to set up. Then if it still fails to set up you can reprocess and directions are with the pectin box.
So you can make jelly out of any 100% fruit juice? As long as you add the other ingredients? (Sorry if I missed it in there somewhere)
Well you can’t do white peaches or elderberry… it’s best to follow the guidelines that are in that book. I can’t just show it due to copyright.
@@MennoniteFarmhouse Thank you so much!
Hello Leann and family! Would you please lend me your advice? I will be spending an extended period of time outside of the USA. I have decided to take a pressure and water bath canner with me. I will not have access to items such as the pectin you used here for the jelly. Would you kindly tell me which brand and quantity you would recommend if say I were to plan to make 48 to 60 pints of jelly /jam? Thank you, been learning and enjoying your channel and variety of videos.
P.S Is Ambidextrous the word you were searching for? You had my daughter and I laughing so hard!
If I may add a note here, taking your own pressure canner and waterbath canner with you is a great idea but be aware your plugs will not be compatible with most sockets in other countries. Be sure to get the appropriate adapter. If you are out of country a lot you will already know this-so just ignore me and watch me blush. 😄
@@joylouise5417 Certainly a wise consideration. I have acquired some relevant adapters as well as surge protectors(more so for overall fire protection than the device themselves.) 😀
I just use what I find at the bulk food stores. In the past I have used Sure Gel but that’s getting to expensive to use.
I use to help my aunts with canning, But after all These years, I’m too scared to do it on my own.
Maybe I can help you with what you are scared about? Do research, is there something you are unsure about?
@@MennoniteFarmhouse I guess just messing it up. Lol
My canning days are over! lol take me a life time to eat a batch so i dont!
