    I followed your recipe about 6 weeks ago and received rave reviews on the chicken. Sooo I am making it again. I especially like your technique of rubbing butter under the skin. You make it seem so easy and actually it is when following your recipe. Keep showing me how to make the most with my Ninja Foodi Grill. Thanks.

    Last week I made a whole chicken in my new Dutch Oven. It was wonderful. I decided to compare to a chicken made in my Ninja Foodi Oven. Used this recipe :) It was amazing. Much easier (far less ingredients), and I enjoyed working w/this gal :) As good as last week's chicken was, this far surpassed it. Thank you for such an easy, fabulous recipe.

    Lisa, I love your down to earth videos. Which method makes the best whole roasted chicken, ninja grill or ninja foodi with just crisper lid or ninja foodi pressure and crisper combo? The chicken in your crisper only video looked the best but it looked easier in the grill due to the extra room; I just didn't like that it was cooking in its own juice/grease. I would like to know which way was the most tender, juicy, and crispy like a real rotisserie chicken. Thank you for your help and guidance.

    • @pressurecrisp
      @pressurecrisp  4 года назад +1

      Lol-my nephew said the same thing yesterday-that he doesn't like the chicken to. sit in its own juices. In the Grill that will be difficult due tot he height issue-you will have to pick up a very small. bird/cornish hen so. it docent sit in the juices. I may have to pick one up and experiment a little.
      My preference is to roast the chicken they are moist and its the "traditional way" to cook chicken. Pressure cooking chicken changes the. consistency/mouth feels,of the meat(remember this is just my preference).
      To obtain that juicy bird. most important is to not overcook it-which is sometimes difficult due to the breast. meat cooking. before the. thigh area. But another trick is to brine the bird-I wanted to do a comparison video on a. brined bird vs a traditional roasted bird.
      Definitely more room in the foodi to roast a chicken.
      Oh there is another way which I haven't tried yet is spatchcocking the chicken-cut. the backbone out and flatten the. chicken out.
      I hope this helps Peter

      @@pressurecrisp Lisa, thank you for the quick reply. I am sorry but still a bit unclear. In your reply you state definitely more room in the foodi, however, in your videos it definitely looked like the grill had way more space. Did you mean to say grii? In addition, you said in your reply that roasting is the best method, however, in both the grill video and the foodi video you cooked the chicken in air crisp mode and not roast. I am assuming that you wanted to say air crisp, however, both the grill and the foodi have air crisp mode. Which of the two did a better job in air crisp mode, the grill or the foodi? Again, thank you very much for all your help and guidance, it is very much appreciated. Peter.

    • @pressurecrisp
      @pressurecrisp  4 года назад

      @@Shark-at-Law sorry-I meant to say air crisp. When I said the foodi has more room I meant height. You are able to cook a larger chicken in the foodi than in the grill due to the height.
      I do plan on brining a chicken this week to see if there is a difference in moistness. Or I may use the split chicken breast I have in frig. I will do two using the brine and two no brine.

    It looked as good as if you did a rotisserie or bought it. It seems a natural next step to toss some flour and milk into that pan and make gravy from those drippings. Even some instant mashed potatoes would soak that up successfully. On the other hand, that and tailgating on the interstate seem to be the sure ways of shortening your life. I have a question. What would make the ninja foodi grill AG301 when air crisping french fries seasoned in the bag from the store, to emit smoke from the sides of the front lid when closed. I did clean the splatter shield with dawn foam soap earlier that day. Mine has really bad stuck on grease and everything else I've heard doesn't help. The fan is looking burnt too and I've had it lass than a year. I also asked on the group I think.
