Great idea using thinners to strip the handlebars. The alloy is so easy to mark when using sandpaper! Great informative vid as always.

Good video mate. I took apart a li150s 5 years ago and painted and powder coated everything. Now putting it back together so there vids are gonna be priceless. Can't find many about putting it back together. Cheers

    I’ve totally restored two S3’s & now on another but a S2 ..
But with this one I’m not going to strip it down as such, only to make it roadworthy upgrade to 12V ..
Great to watch someone else doing the same… where were you when I did my first one lol 😂
One thing I never thought about was changing over to DC is the reason being your SIP speedo ?
I have one fitted to each of mine & one works fine with the 12v conversion but the other only runs with an Anthony Tambs DC intelli converter ..

@@dougiebrown9318 full DC you can run led lights sip speedo, radios ,sat navs , spot lights, anything you can think of, your lights don't dim and your horn is loud what's not to like

@ Yes that’s a lot better.. I bought an extra lead for my SIP speedo to run a single USB ..
I already have a low fuel light & temperature gauge
But would love to go DC on this particular scooter to tryout & see..
Will be watching your videos from now on for sure 👍
