Considering that The Incredible Hulk is the MCU’s forgotten film, I deduce the issue is having a big green protagonist.
I think the problem with The Incredible Hulk was casting Edward Norton in the main role. Not because he's a bad actor, but because how much of a douchebag he is in real life. If Mark Ruffalo had been cast in the main role from the start, ppl would prob remember it more as an MCU movie than just a standard Hulk movie.
Way to ruin my excitement for Luigi's Mansion 3.
But what about Shrek? Greatest film of all time
@Milasia
A notable exception.
i think that is very true
Wait...that movie was called The Good Dinosaur? I've been calling it The Sad Dinosaur for the last few years
😂😂
Haha your funny
Why would you call it the sad dinosaur? Smh
Lol! I can totally see why you would mix this up

For the thumbnail, is Seamus saying he's a angry little kid? 😂

If that was the case then we’d get an epic crossover movie that is canon by the rules of the Pixar theory

The movie or the show
DickleRick ... The one Seamus referenced in the video? ...
No I get it I get it I was making a joke that the movie with sew-in memorable that I couldn't even remember which one was being talked about despite literally being shown
@@ChitenBugMan Do you mean the movie, the show or the movie based off the show?
It was a decent movie. I enjoyed it, and it was seriously stunning. I just don’t remember it... it’s not memorable. The story and the world and everything about it were forgettable. (Except the animation. Holy carp that was some gorgeous animating).
I agree! My favorite part of the film was watching the beautiful animation sequences during the credits
Holy carp
Yeah. It was pretty and bland ^^° proof that substance goes over aesthetic.
Honestly, to me even the animation was forgettable because across the board the character designs sucked. I pay more attention to, and remember more vividly, the animation in less impressively animated movies just because their designs look more interesting and recognisable. The Good Dinosaur just had no personality (even in the impressive sceneries everyone loves imo, if I saw a nature shot from TGD and was asked what movie it came from I wouldn't be able to tell you) and even though I liked it when I saw it in cinema, unlike every other animated movie I've seen (that I didn't loath), I've never even wanted to rewatch it. There's no reason to. Even Secret Life of Pets has more personality than TGD. And SLoP is literally Toy Story (guess where its personality comes from) with cute animals and poop jokes produced by a heartless company. Both movies do not incite the common "oh hey let's watch that" response literally every other animated movie (that I didn't loath) gets out of me. But if I had to choose I'd choose SLoP. That's how forgettable The Good Dinosaur is. (Also, only just noticed that Secret Life of Pets condensces to Slop, poetic lol.)
100% agree
I have a confession I've never seen it but I'm watching anyway because it's Seamus

I saw this movie!
Seamus is Rey confirmed??!!?!
The Good Dinosaur kind of reminds me of that movie called Epic. Both had an insane amount of hype, but when they came out people stopped caring about the movies.
You hit all the best points: it was good, but not great, would have been awesome with a better story. Visually stunning, but the story was lacklustre at best.
I liked the film, but more as a milestone of how far they have come in animation.
It boggles me how creators seem to just chuck writing out the window--so concerned with good animation, it's like they just FORGOT about the NECESSITY of a good story!!
I love that Cars 2 has its own category. The Good Dinosaur wasn't that bad, really, just...mediocre? But yeah, great animation.
I liked the good dinosaur
But you're correct about its release.
I didn't see the movie until a year later when I had nothing else to watch.
Because when it was released I went to see inside out
Yah it's not that Bad i like it and allote of pepale Say ohhhhhh it's the worst thing it's forgetabel
honestly the good dinosaur is one of my favorite pixar films. i was invested in the(and i agree) quite sad story, but in a weird way it connected with me. i’d choose watching the good dinosaur over a bug’s life any day.
just my opinion
If you were forced to watch the good dinosaur every day for a week, then would you watch a bugs life over the good dinosaur the next day?
Jack Scrivens possibly 🤷🏼♀️
well that's a stupid opinion
Taylor Haws i could say the same to you. that’s why it’s called an opinion
The good dinosaur was a mediocre movie that was uninspired and bland. It had great ideas but, they were all dropped before you could get into the movie.
It's all because of Inside Out. They made this whole point about why Sadness is just as important as Joy... next thing you know, we get this movie where Sadness gets her chance to be the most important.
Unlike the Incredibles where Joy is in the driver's seat 90% of the time, which really is one of the biggest reasons people love the second one just as much as the first one (despite the fact that the plot sucked).
So.... Inside Out...the most overrated Pixar movie......made The Good Dinosaur fail?! Since it didn't do as well as Inside Out. #ISupportTheGoodDinosaur
Eli Boy Productions Yes, I love Inside Out but I hate it’s the reason that the Good Dinosaur is forgotten!
Its not Inside outs fault

In my family we always joke about this movie! "Do you have a moment to talk about our Lord and savior....the storm?" The storm provides!
"You mean a revelation?"
"No, a RE-LE-VATION!"
idk this movie was so underrated, I loved it soooo much
Thanks for the tutorial Seamus. I'll try not to disappoint
I remember leaving the movie theater after seeing it and saying "That was pretty okay, I bet more people would be talking about it being pretty okay if it were from a different company where we have lower expectations."
I didn't realise this film wasn't cancelled until almost a year after it came out.
I saw it when it came out as well.
Sure, it was on a business trip my dad took my family on and we were so bored we went to watch it. But that doesn't matter because I still went to the theaters, chose to watch it, and pleasantly enjoyed the movie. It really shouldn't have flopped in my opinion.
The bts meme,,, super accurate. It could work vice versa though
Watching the movie, I knew it was animated, but the backgrounds looked so real!! Props to the animators!!
I actually loved this film. It's not classic pixar or even classic kids movie. It's self reflective and awkward with plenty of silences which was refreshing. Story was forgettable but I appreciated the strange vibe it had.
Yes, people complain that the Dinosaurs look too cartoony, IT’S A KIDS MOVIE!!! WHAT DID YOU EXPECT?!
@@minaminasctftlkhttydfan9958 the background scenery looks quite realistic, unlike the dinosaurs.
Personally I think it’s a dumb cash grab movie. However your allowed to have your opinion.

Improved Title for the good dinosaur: The good Animations
I didn’t forget this but it did take years for me to bother watching it. But it was actually really good.

Captain Sam Same, I love the Good Dinosaur! I hate that Inside Out got all famous and the Good Dinosaur was just.... forgotten :(

The Good Dinosaur is my favourite Pixar movie, to this day...Inside Out honestly stole all its spotlight bcuz TGD can stand strong on its own...I loved it...nd thts all that matters
Gosh I watched this movie in the theatres and I actually love it so much because the animation and cinematography was gorgeous and I think the story was cute enough. Yeah I know the movie wasn't amazing but I liked it so I get sad that no one remembers it
"nobody talks about ratatouille anymore"
Tiktok: allow me to introduce myself
I loved the Good Dinosaur! I thought it looked stunning, and while it isn't the best Pixar film, I thought it was cute and enjoyable.
The animation was stunning, and I was impressed the entire movie, but I watched it with friends and we all cringed through the beginning, winced through the middle, and talked through the end.
Casey C describes it perfectly
The Dino's are meh sorry
To be honest, I really agree with you Seamus, for the most part.
During this film I didn’t feel like I was watching Pixar, it felt like a very sad and odd Somy Pictures or something. To be real, I cried at a couple scenes, because I also lost my dad when I was very young, but for the majority of people who don’t have that connection, this film isn’t going to mean anything. And that’s where I think Pixar made their mistake. In some of their best films, like Toy Story, everyone can relate to having to grow out and give up your toys, and in Inside Out, we have all had moments where it feels like we can’t be happy anymore, or thinking that it’s wrong to show that we’re sad. That’s why those movies are so memorable and heartwarming.
Anyway, great video as always Seamus!
I know a lot of people hate this movie, but for some reason, I can't get enough of it. Everytime I watch it, I just love it even more. I love it simpleness and charm, and of course the animation. I understand why people could find boring, and yes, the story wasn't the most original, but I think it a lot more hate then it should. I love people's reactions when I tell them it's one of my favorite Pixar movies.
That was the first movie I ever cried at. :'(
So did CellSpex so no shame
Personally I liked The Good Dinosaur...admittedly mostly for the nature animation though lol. It's just SO PRETTY SKSKFDJCD
I knew Good Dinosaur would be forgotten in time, and for some weird reason, that was one of the things that made me excited about it. Because no matter how forgotten it is, it is forever embedded in my Pixar collection. And whenever I line up my Pixar movies on the floor, no matter how forgotten The Good Dinosaur is, it will be there, right alongside the others. It may be forgotten, but it will always be there.
I love the Good Dinosaur it story is actually freaking touching, I cried so much watching it.

Dear God i cried my eyes out watching this film. I dont think I’d would like to go through it again and maybe that’s why it wasn’t such a success, it’s just too sad

Dude, I LOVED this movie. I think the biggest reason people were turned away from it was the title and character designs- it was probably too easy to assume it would pander too much to young children and couldn't possibly be entertaining for teenagers and adults. Always the defender of animated movies, my 16-year-old self went to see it in cinemas and was treated to one of the most visually stunning and shocking dark films I'd ever seen. Maybe the story's not totally original and they could've gone for more realistic-looking characters, but I still found it really amazing and a blast to watch. Went home with a really energetic feeling in my chest and these days I'm sad that so many people like to pick on it, because it really is great.
I watched it while on a 16 hour flight from Japan a few years ago (the fact that a Pixar film was offered as a free in flight film probably speaks for itself) but I actually found it rather charming. Goodness knows I literally sat there and guessed how many minutes it would be until the dad died (I almost had the timing perfect lol) but other than that I enjoyed the gorgeous background, the humor, and just the general tale that was brought about. I’d say release timing probably made a huge difference in its success, as well as the fact that it’s story probably wasn’t powerful enough to catch people’s attention in the trailers.

I don't even remember seeing previews for this dino movie. 🤔 Like I only know it exists because of you and SCB.
I loved this movie, the animation is so amazing and the characters are actually pretty good.
The Good Dinosaur is one of my favorite Pixar films. I LOVED the story so much, I was just crying over it with my mom the other day. To be honest though, the only other people that I have met who love the movie as much as I do, have similar backgrounds. I guess it takes a certain kind of person to like the film. But conclusion: I will always watch this movie when it's on tv, I don't care what else is on or what I am about to do, I will sit down and watch it.
2:25 idk Shazam made it above my extremely low expectations. But wonderwoman wasnt bad so...

I wouldn’t say WW is significantly better, just slightly better.
@@joeyjerry1586 i can agree with that.
I remember that I never liked The good dinosaur, once we had to watch it at my summer camp, and I don’t think anyone enjoyed it
I remember the first time I saw the good dinosaur was on a school field trip to the movie theater. Half my class was crying after the movie
I watched the film like 4/5 months after it came out, the animation was amazing, the plot was literally designed to make you cry and certain bits were forgettable. I kinda liked it when i saw it, but idk. It'll never be to the standard of say even an ok pixar film like ratatouille or brave. Even last year, when coco came out in the u.k i dont think many people saw it but the plot is so great i think of it as one of the best pixar films everr

Hey I think it would be really cool if you did a collab with the super Carlin Brothers and answer the question why doesn't Tarzan have a beard
Wait, did the interview with Pete Docter by Johnathan Carlin became piper?
Stephan Stefanus omg!! I’ve literally wondered that for forever 😂
o.m.g
As a theropod obsessed dino geek, I forgot the characters from a design standpoint. The velociraptors were supposed to be feathered, but they way they did it just makes them look like pink lizards with manes and not like, ya know, actual feathered dinosaurs. Though I did like the sorta cowboy aspect the Tyrannosaurus rex had going on.
I’ve said it once, I’ll say it again. Seamus needs to host meme review
