It’s representing the stretching and pulling of the fabric of spacetime that occurs in a wormhole. I think it’s amazing and never seen it done like this before
I'm not going to say that this isn't a cool mechanic, having to "steer" through the wormhole, but I think it would make more sense scientifically (and gameplay wise) to remove this necessity. I'm not sure how much Kip Thorne contributed to the actual part about controlling the ship in the movie Interstellar, but I think their notion of not being able to have any kind of dimensional control of your vehicle while you're passing through the "bulk", or, for lack of a better term, "hyperspace" or "extra-dimensional space", makes more sense. The wormhole itself should be dragging you along, and you should merely be along for the ride until you exit the other gate on the other side. Just my thoughts though. This is still incredibly frushing cool. Can't wait to play these. It also makes a lot more sense now as to why wormholes have a certain size rating, and that larger ships can't pass through smaller wormholes, because the ship will end up striking the walls too much.
First off its an Uber-Sim, the simulation never stops, not a single loading screen. So reason for wormhole mechanics. Its because you can either fail and hit a wall and get thrown out in the middle of nowhere, also pirates can pull you out of them with EMP. And it takes some time to re-spool. Atleast thats what I have been told. But I agree with your points for sure. We dont need it really. Yeah size will be interesting many years from now when you have to fly a longer distance between several systems thanks to ur ship beeing large, medium while a small ship can go to same place alot faster with less jumps.
@@BalubishTech I could still see predator players being able to pull you out of the wormhole (somehow, handwavium and unobtanium ftw), and even a percentage roll for whether you get ejected from the wormhole by chance due to "wormhole instability" or whatever, but still let it be an auto-guided process. It didn't take that long, so I guess it won't be that bad. I just plan on doing some of those multi-jump convoy runs with cargo and it's going to suck having to navigate 3-4 jumps. Maybe it's easier than I think it will be. Surely playtesting and adjustments will keep it from being silly-stupid.

Pretty big I guess. 5 Planets with the fourth planet orbiting the fifth planet, and then I assume moons around most of them + 6 different wormholes connecting too the Pyro system aswell. Wormhole hub basicly. Small - Medium - Large wormholes for all ship type in some of them atleast. So yeah pretty damn cool :) Pyros Star is a Dwarf-K Class star so it probably is an old star that burned all fuel or released it growing to big. Kinda like earths sun will do in a few billion years by expanding.
To put it into perspective, smaller ships straight up wouldn't be able to traverse this system without needing a fuel-centric rescue ship to help them. That means unless you have a large ship with a Grade A Military QD, travel times will be in the 10-15 minute range. In the scale of our own universe's systems, this is still relatively tiny. im confused though, i thought there would be hidden jump points as well, so why would you need a warp gate if the warps are supposed to be naturally occurring phenomena
Sorry for late answer. Actually there will be 3 types. Small, medium, large. Medium and Large ships cant fly through small wormholes for examples. So if you have a large scale ship you will have to take maybe 7 jumps between several solar systems to get to your destination while small ship can travel through all of them. And es there will also be hidden ones that will be discovered by the community. Stuff that will be discovered that is unknown you if you find it will be able to name for example that wormhole, or be silent of it or sell the info to someone, where exploring ships come in mainly. Find stuff.

The SC community bit hard on the fantasy that CP wasn't done. CR even noticed and jumped on it immediately as an excuse. People ate it up as if CP "released too soon" and didn't have content instead of just having bugs in a fully completed game. im confused though, i thought there would be hidden jump points as well, so why would you need a warp gate if the warps are supposed to be naturally occurring phenomena
maybe there's two types
Sorry for late answer. Actually there will be 3 types. Small, medium, large. Medium and Large ships cant fly through small wormholes for examples. So if you have a large scale ship you will have to take maybe 7 jumps between several solar systems to get to your destination while small ship can travel through all of them. And es there will also be hidden ones that will be discovered by the community. Stuff that will be discovered that is unknown you if you find it will be able to name for example that wormhole, or be silent of it or sell the info to someone, where exploring ships come in mainly. Find stuff.
The gates probably a station that allows the poijt to open better/marks the location..
this game will never be done with greedy devs making games
Very odd claim with no evidence too back that statement up. Is that claim based on day dreaming or on terrible attempt of trolling?
@@BalubishTech Dude do they pay you to defend this piece of crap or you just so naive?
@@Voltomess 🤣
@@BalubishTech there is 12 years of evidence. rockstar would've burried this shit into the ground if they spend 12 years on a new space game.
@@fortnight5677 they didnt have a full team until 2015 btw and they are making something nobody have made before. Its fine its not a game for you clearly. And are plenty of other games out there. This is a simulation that never stops. Its not for everyone.
WOW, JUST LIKE THE SIMILATION!!
Evocati is jumping to and from Pyro right now
Wasn't this in, like, 2013 or 2014? Ten years ago? Some videos appear to have been reuploaded with recent dates...
No in 2014 they were building a studio to begin with.
@@BalubishTech Sorry, I remember seeing a video from 2015, not 2013 it would appear...
This specific demo was shown in 2019, in case you were still curious.
Yeah there was an early concept of it aswell around 2015 i think. Probably wont look like this when its released anyways cause its just a concept.
Thus will be great once the kraken enters the game taking several players as an expert in this process will be cool
we are around the corner leesssgooo to pyro
I would like to have the Yamato in this game.
The live action version would fit nicely into the verse, although the crew size would be massive
Looks awesome. I want to crash into the wall to go into wormhole space.
3 years ago just from this vid and still no meshing, still no pyro and not really even on the horizon either is it?
A year later... still no wormholes or pyro in
Well the first example they showed in 2015. But there are alot of features that shall be implemented. Wormhole and Pyro will release at the same time i assume.
They’re waiting for sever meshing for Pyro..they pretty much have it done with the details and things being added in but yeah sever mesh/pyro/wormhole will all be dropped same patch
And another year later, still no wormholes or pyro in. And they're not even on the roadmap for another year I think.
We waiting for ship interiors here in Elite like 3 years already, still not done :)
@@k1mfor yey another year coming but it's still "just around the corner."
I didn't even realize that showed Ruin station!! You can see it in the background
Something too look forward too
@@BalubishTech Definitely!!
3 years later: nothing.
At 4:13 in this video.... reminds me of a scene from the matrix revolutions, when Trinity and Neo escaped the sentinels (while in the machine-world) by flying up through the clouds and for a few seconds, saw a sunset!!
Road map says March 2023. Hopefully updates speed up after this because star citizen will have to compete with starfield
to think this was 2 years ago right? where are they with this now? its hiding on a file somewhere , come out and let me wormhole!!!
Three years later and we’re not even close
Actually we are
@@BalubishTech they showed a tech demo working. I give it at least another 2 years before we see Pyro in the PU. Most likely they’ll simply release it as a separate server in the meantime.
I’ll be happy if I’m wrong
@@alphacentauri3069 mid-late 2024 will be pyro and early-mid 2025 sq 42. Hopefully
@@DerKilianist I think your right as of now lol
Entering a jump point should have corridors for entering and departing.. with no weapons use in the immediate area around it.
Plz no more stupid corridor shit lol
Better priority from Transfer area Control. You may or may not pass right now due to reasons, and wil be instructed by radio.
Hopefully we'll all be traveling to pyro system by the end of this year. 🤞
Yeah. My guess is next year though
@@BalubishTech knowing how CIG is you're probably right 😆 let's just hope for server meshing to be completed this year then.🤞
@@floridaman5654 hehe yeah. Frankly i would be happy to get SQ42 and play that until they solve all SC stuff.
@@BalubishTech agreed!!
@@BalubishTech when are they releasing the wormhole any update?
Looks like they nicked the wormholes right out of Farscape
when can we play this dammit...it's been 4 years !
Very soon. I think Pyro System is in PTU stage right now. My guess is now before Christmas maybe.
did you just go through Uranus?
xD
when
Hopefully next year
I wonder if they'll add the Sol system
Yeah they will. It have been the plan all along.
@@BalubishTech oh nice, can't wait to travel to earth :)
@@tangobrit34 yeah will be nice.
@@tangobrit34 that will be insane but not anytime soon bro, if it ever happen it will be in more than 10 years from now... at least with that rate of development

You should, no matter if you play SC or not. #PCMasterRace
Freelancer vibes.
This.
This looks like a low budget version of the wormhole travel from interstellar
Wow if this was two years ago I can only imagine what advancements n new systems they've added since then right?.... RIGHT??!!
Right
Reminds me of how they used to do the Slipstream in Andromeda
Their Slipstream was actually a nice idea and something new, I really liked that despite the series being mediocre through season 3 and 5
It looks like the vortex from Doctor Who

4.0 is actually real now
this was 3 years ago... what happened CIG
They changed the system alot and 100s of other things happend but it should be this year or next
@@CozyzYT it's still ass though
@@jgone4856 the game is
Great... another place to DC from and log back in to be in the middle of blank space between systems. Was hoping for a more straight-forward jump point. Worm holes are supposed to be like folding a piece of paper in half and you just come out on the other side right?
i think you still would have to travel between both points, just in a faster manner. also i dislike the idea of having to control the ship inside the wormhole, looking back at how many times i got disconnected while in transit between stations and they claiming that you probably end up in deep spac severely damaged. how would you be able to continue your travel? are they simulationg deep space between systems? transit via quantum drive? thats gonna be a long ride
@@jair_cuthegar definitely do not like the idea of controlling my ship during a jump. I mean, we will be taking large ships with several people aboard with supplies to last weeks or months or years and a single error or desync and BOOM
pyro and server meshing come in "late 2023"... we all know that is not happening
*3023
Yeah so uhh.... the newest PTU has the Pyro Jump point added to Stanton, so if the rumors are true then that means it literally is around the corner and CIG has been holding back for the release of Sq42.

An X games jump gate. Pure innovation.
with the same initial visual effects as the stargate tv series
Hehe yeah it kinda reminds of that, but I guess a worm hole is similar in everyones mind.
this is awesome........
seems navigation worked 2 years ago, why did they break it?
Well not the problem really.
Im scared. Due to consistent server instability and even glitches at the most mundane things like elevators. Hopefully while im in the wormhole, my game just doesnt freeze randomly and I lose everything instantly.
it was two years ago ...

Just saw my first colonoscopy
🤣
Whats the Name of the Music in 1:18???
? Ingame music I assume.
Anvil Carrack commercial theme by Pedro Camacho. Still waiting for a complete version to listen for 2 centuries.
What is that? clouds and lightning in space or does the wormhole orbit a planet?
yes gas clouds en lightning in space
Yeah dont remember which video its from I think its from Squadron 42 footage they have teased with where a planet or moon have been split into pieces when you fly between 2 massive mountain size splits with gas and ligthing all over inbetween searching for survivors or something. This game will be like playing the Star Wars movies but have realistic looking animations and effects at the same time.
Man, in the time its taking for this feature to come out, the could have just flown directly to the star system, lol
Hehe well they need the rest of the features ready before they open it up.
Have a look at this now ;) It’s finally here guys

Say what you will about Cyberpunk 2077... at least it launched
Hehe yepp
The SC community bit hard on the fantasy that CP wasn't done. CR even noticed and jumped on it immediately as an excuse. People ate it up as if CP "released too soon" and didn't have content instead of just having bugs in a fully completed game.
The thing is though, CP was actually a completed game and worked well on PC. I had hardly any issues. The rest (old gen consoles) were messy and required patching--not another 10 years to actually be a beta-level game experience like SC needs.
@@jasonfrost5025 AHAHAH
I'm not even that much of Star Citizen fan, but to claim CP was a fully completed game at launch is a completely dumbass take, THE DEVS THEMSELVES knew it wasn't finished and that it was the higher ups wanting to push it out the door asap
Even right now, it's merely a halfassed linear story game with an annoyingly douchy main character and some stupid endings, very few RPG mechanics, clunky movements/combat and completely fucked AI behaviour (which is still not fixed btw)
And let's not even get started on all of the feature they said would be present which are still not in the game
CP2077 is as completed as No Man Sky was at launch, but unlike with Hello Games, the studio wasn't flooded midway through the development, so there's no other excuse other than corporate greed (ironically enough)
Just few days ago, news came out that despite the awful launch the same people who pushed for the game to launch too early were getting bonuses for its success, if you want to keep excusing this behaviour then go on, more power to you, I just think that if we keep going in this direction it'll end up very very badly for the game industry as a whole
today Cyberpunk is good enough for those who ain't looking for too much trouble and just do the main quest and enjoy the game
it's a great game
@@-_Nuke_- it just has less bugs. the %90 of the content they promised is still missing and not gonna be there. "branching consequences," my ass. as for the "new content," it's just what was "implied," in dev q&a sessions and trailers. and they even have the balls to release them as "FREE DLCS," rather than saying "sorry, this should've been already in the game since we said this is a next-gen rpg," and release it as an actual forced update.
I paid for Squadron 42, about 4 years ago. Is this going to be a thing?
I payed for both SQ42 and SC in 2014.
if they add more on planet content and creatures i will play it
Yeah its cooming. They are working right now on AI behaviors. Thats for us beeing able to hire NPCs as pilots, engineers and so on.
@@BalubishTech wow so i can hire an npc to drive me somewhere and wohooo all the content is gone out the window since there is nothing else to do besides a broken flight simulator.
