I think the question is answered in that you've become a much better golfer and ball striker over the past few years. Time to own it Andy, you're no longer in the game improvement section. Well done!

I play the titlest T200 and absolutely love the profile. I’m toying with the idea of going with a combo set and hitting T150 from PW-8 and t200 for 7-4.

Sorry Andy!! 3 part question. Do you think the T200 is noticeably more forgiving than the T150 in the 8 through the 48 degree wedge?Do you think the T200 48 degree wedge is more forgiving than the T150 48 degree wedge on full and say 3/4 shots?
Same question. T150 48 degree wedge vs Vokey SM9 48 degree wedge?
    Thank you, Joe

I would not classify the T150 as having "bundles of forgiveness". I own a set, like them alot. They are not the best or worst feeling irons in their category. They look nice, have decent forgiveness. Not as much as say the PXGs or the Srixon ZX7, but for a slightly larger version of the T100 with a bit less loft and offer more forgiveness than say the new Callaway CB or the T100 . Comboing T150 and T200 is a really good option.

Hi Andy great comparison but regarding spin wouldn’t the shaft have a bearing? If the lighter SteelFibre were in the Titleist 150s they surely would generate more spin wouldn’t they?

I tried the T150 versus the Ping I230 a couple of weeks ago. Similar senior shafts in both. T150 ball speed was 5mph higher than I230 and spin was much better for T150 too. I just loved the feel off the T150 and they look so good at address. Wish I could afford to get a set of T150 irons but a bit too expensive for an old pensioner like me!!

Fantastic video. I have both set of irons and I think what you said hit nail on head. It’s a real pillow fight between these two irons. What I did however is combo my PXG setup now. I have 5-7 in the T, 8-PW in the 0317 CB. for me, it’s perfect. Yes, both irons are almost identical in feel. I personally found more forgiveness w PXG specifically in my shorter irons approaching the greens. I also found the ball backspin on green was off the charts w Titleist. Couldn’t understand it. Many par 3’s my ball just spinning way back sometimes off the green. Not so much w PXG. I also prefer the weight of the club head better for me w PXG. t150 felt lighter which for some might prefer but I was fit at PXG for my irons w a little more weight in club head so maybe that’s why. Overall I just found I hit PXG better than t150. I tried very hard to fall in love w t150 but just fell in love with 0317 t and cb. Everyone is different but this video is excellent and appreciate the work gone into this. Thank you

The key is to get fit. If you want distance it is out there to be had. But those spin rates and decent angles are important or you won't hold greens. Shafts make a big difference. I've tried some newer clubs but most are super jacked lofts. I'll stick to my Mizuno JPX 919 HMP as they go where I want, high launch with Nippon Modus 3 shaft, and spin rates to hold greens. If I need more spin and accuracy, at times, I'll switch to my 850 forged set. Keep up the good work. 4 hcp, from Iowa in the States.

7 hdcp here. I have been amazed with the quality of my new T-150 set GW - 6-iron.
Switched from M2 irons, those of the forgiving irons from about 6 years ago (FYI).
You can really feel the difference when you miss the screw, a kind of feedback I had been missing.
For a player like me, that assists in quickly identifying the problem during the round or on the range.
Even better, I'm spinning balls back on hard greens with my 8 iron.
Never did that before even with my Ping i10 irons of yesteryear.
And these irons just hit soooo straight. Gotta be the tungsten.
Biggest difference for me was significantly better, more consistent spin from the fairway. The FAIRWAY. 😊

Titleist have hit the sweet spot with the T150. The right treatment of tungsten down low, combined with an active face and mid to compact head with supporting gel to tone down the sound and vibes. Everyone is doing this now including PXG (for some yrs), but the T150 has refined the hollow body design to best in class.

I wonder if the person was going in a way where my thought is right now. That you could get relatively similar performance out of 3-5 year old irons. If you don't see big changes, it may just not make sense to make a switch. Also, using someone else's iron that maybe isn't in your spec could make a difference as well. I for one know that I have to have +1 length because I will consistently thin shots otherwise. Overall great video as always Andy!

Yeah. There's another problem with the PXG, I just wouldn't recommend them.
What's wrong? it's a screw. a literal screw in the back. it loosens and the irons become unstable.
Bad design. I saw it and I thought... cheap design solution. They replaced a sodered full joint with two/three pieces screwed together and probably some glue....
The T-150 design is going to last longer... much longer.
Doesn't matter for pros and those replacing their irons every two years.
But we plebs can't afford to replace that often.

P.S. Callaway MB & Edel SMS irons also use the same type of screw-in weights.

Why is loctite used instead of another metal join? it's cheaper. It also doesn't work as well.
Loctite vs metal joins both reduces COR and breaks down faster. It's a worse solution.
So, yes, many have a screw. But only the PXG uses glue to adhere metal on metal.

Nothing to do with you or your sponsorships, I’m glad you’re living your dream, and I like your content, I even bought Wilson Staff Model CB’s after your review. My gripe is the owner of PXG towing the Jay Monoghan PGA line in vilifying LIV Golf, it’s petty and totally unnecessary, this could all have been dealt with amicably without declaring war on LIV, and the PXG owner sucking up to the established tour certainly hasn’t helped.

I have played irons (once, TM M2s) where it was nigh on impossible to stop a 7i on the green, and that was on a parkland course. Fortunately I decided not to buy them!
IMO there is probably enough peak height and descent angle to make the low spin of the T150s controllable, but no question that 0317s have the edge in control. It would interesting to look at the 2 shots with the 0317s where spin dropped to see where on the face the strike was - maybe there is some variability there.
If control is an issue a ball change to something that spins more might help.
Both are great irons, but still think my i210s are just as good!

I hit those game improvements with a 7iron 190 yards, 15 yards of roll out with 3800 spin.. I thought that was good until a fitter set me up with a T100 in a project LZ stiff. World of a difference I hit the T100 consistently 175-184, 6000-6500 spin, and they felt like absolute butter.
