Heck, according to some interviews, he isn't even too concerned with how his art is made. He said if he would've had a piano instead of a guitar, he would've gone that direction more. he's an artist before he is genre-loyal or medium-loyal. Certainly, there is nothing wrong with artists 'staying in their lane', but my point is that Beck doesn't have a lane; he's got a field, and he runs around in that field and finds cool stuff that he then shines up and sells by the roadside. I'm 68 this song is Great !....Makes me feel young again !!
He's a cool guy you just wanna be friends with. And an amazing singer.
El Camino..... The most bad ass car that I'd never want to own.
"The el camino is neither a car or a truck."
"Oh so its a vehicular hermaphrodite."
upgrader99 we used to call them "cruck's"
Business in the front...party in the back.
The Black Keys approve.
nos quedamos en el homenaje que nos hace, pero OJITO con lo que nos dice cada vez que se pliega la imagen, sin contar que el efecto visual es brutal para la epoca.. es el puto amo
Fácil, hay q sacar a los mexi de aca
Beck you're a goddamned genious, this is gold
I find it so attractive how Beck can speak Spanish and takes interests in other cultures besides his own. I love him so much.
Can he? I know he sings a little bit of Spanish in “Qué Onda Guero” but I’ve never actually heard him speak Spanish in conversation or anything like that.
@@Q-box He sings a bit of Spanish in a few of his other songs as well, Hotwax and Loser come to mind of the top of my head. I believe he was raised in a Hispanic neighborhood in Los Angeles, so it was kind of part of his culture
love synth in beginning going straight into guitar, bass, and drums with layered vocals!!! Badassedness!!
2005 💪
n o
Man. It really has been almost 20 years since I first saw this MV… 😭
Nostalgic yes, but when you really look back, the 2000s was a horrible time.
i wish beck was my friend
Me too
Me tres! Guero!
Que onda?
a donde vayas?
Filipa Silva
Yo tengo chicle en el cerebro.
Beck's tribute to Al Jaffee and his clever artwork for Mad magazine fold-ins. They were always on the very last page.
I’m here getting psyched cause I’m going to a cage the elephant and beck concert!
I saw them on that same tour
How wuz It ???
Yesssss@
Man the visual effects in this video are amazing 🤩
It's weird how the song sounds happy and cheerful but the lyrics is actually creepy af
They're really not.
Powercharged Gaming hmm ¿?
She doesn't even know what's wrong
And I know I'm gonna make her die
Take her where her soul belongs
Yup
And I know I'm gonna steal her eye is the creepiest
Its hilarious when people only have the patience to listen 5 seconds in and then call it a shitty 8 bit techno song
James Bond the glitch part is great wtf lol
A very similar statement could be used to describe parents' ideas about video game music.
I love chiptune and beck
This sounds so upbeat, but it's actually quite dark;
"..And now I'm gonna make her die, and take her where her soul belongs..."
I love Beck;D
I'm such a big fan. His music is a big part of my life. I was born into music and he's a big inspiration to my whole family. I wish I could tell him how much he matters to me.
This been my song forever
Still i can't believe Beck is real
Honey why tho
He's not 'really' real, he's more fake real, you got pranked bro.
My Name Is a dream
Lol, you've won the best comment award by my opinion!
Honey YOU ARE FUNNY LMFAO😝
The music is all Beck. The video is brilliant.
Normally I find music videos to be incredibly strange, but I actually like the idea behind this one
Tan bello. y como le luce MX
One of my top 3 or so songs from my fifty something years of life
Cuantas canciones chingonas tiene Beck Hansen
Still bumpin’ in 2020. Best quarantine music ever!!!
I've always loved how Beck plays with words in his lyrics "A bullet from a freight train leaving."
Glad Beck is getting some renewed attention. He handled Kanye's classless move with absolute dignity and class.
Do u mean Kanye's joke??
De sus mejores canciones para mí!!! 👌🏼💖
Randomly remembered this song today while in the shower. Hadn’t listened to it in years. Makes me feel so nostalgic of when I was in high school, it’s still as great as the first time I heard it. 🥰🌼
I feel Beck could walk up to anyone's cook out and fit right in..
Beck is Michael Cera's father
Jajajajaja
That's how Scott Pilgrim knows bass lol
+BearWindAppleyard lol
+BearWindAppleyard HAHAHAHAHAHA!
+BearWindAppleyard Hmmm,..He could be his brother or cousin maybe.
I saw her, yeah I saw her with her black tongue tied
Round the roses
Fist pounding on a vending machine
Toy diamond ring stuck on her finger
With a noose she can hang from the sun
And put it out with her dark sunglasses
Walking crooked down the beach
She spits on the sand where their bones are bleaching
And I know I'm gonna steal her eye
She doesn't even know what's wrong
And I know I'm gonna make her die
Take her where her soul belongs
And I know I'm gonna steal her eye
Nothing that I wouldn't try
Hey, my sun-eyed girl
Hey, my sun-eyed girl
I saw her, yeah I saw her with her hands tied back
And her rags were burning
Crawling out from a landfilled life
Scrawling her name upon the ceiling
Throw a coin in a fountain of dust
White noise, her ears are ringing
Got a ticket for a midnight hanging
Throw a bullet from a freight train leaving
And I know I'm gonna steal her eye
She doesn't even know what's wrong
And I know I'm gonna make her die
Take her where her soul belongs
And I know I'm gonna steal her eye
Nothing that I would not try
Hey, my sun-eyed girl
My Name Is Real creepy as hell
it's cyanide dude
joel juhasz is the song about death 💀?
There is actually no right lyric here,as Beck himself has been extremely coy as to what the lyrics is,though I prefer cyanide myself.
@@ArmandoLuis1318 A lot of his stuff seems to be. Watch the video for his first hit "Loser" with girls dancing in a cemetery and a coffin rolling around with someone wearing a grim reaper mask.
Mas de 3 años buscando esta cancion... 3 AÑOS!!!
Well, congratulations.
mejor que 3 anos ;)
Beck tiene buenas canciones man muchos de su disco no son tan publicados...pero el siempre me sorprende.
no mames
Man.. Esta ROLA es vieja... Y eso que no has escuchado todas sus rolas... Di en que un . Abuelo de el es o era Mexicano por eso los detalles en sus videos.. ;)
He and Benjamin Orr are two naturally coolest rock n roll mfers ever.
Agreed 💯
This video is an olde to MAD magazine last-page fold-ups
+ALISTER FOLSON Yeah, I used to really enjoy those as a kid!
+ALISTER FOLSON Alfred E Newman at 3:22
Al Jaffee mention at 2:44
You're right! Those guys who made this...genius
MAD 'fold-in' HYPE!!!
Yup. I feel it
I really dig the way Beck embraces the Los Angeles, Mexican culture in his videos/music, and his life in general.
very cool, would this be alternative music?
I'd call it "Indie".
It was played heavily on alternative rock stations when it was current, so it does fall under the alternative umbrella. However, his music has lots of influences from everything from folk to electronica, so it is pretty versatile.
kerrgal um.....its not called indie....its alternative rock
It can be both. Labels, labels, labels. He used to part of the anti-folk seen in NYC, so his music was called anti-folk.
um....but its not indie, its alternative, or alt rock.
Brilliant as always.
"Hello There! I’m Angie and my dream is to be a singer, I have some covers of me singing on my channel can you please check it out? I know is a lot to ask but please help me, I’ll be grateful to you."
***** hot dang that cover was pretty good! Subbed.
