    Actually, this is officially the MV Royal Iris of the Mersey.

    this isn't the real Royal Iris which went to Dunkirk and earned it's Royal status both there and Zebrucker....i think this is an old Birkenhead ferry......the real one is rotting in Woolich on the Thames
    So much for our Liverpool Heritage...City of Culture?

      Knew it weren't the real one, looked different. The one rotting away on the Thames was where all my memories were...

    how did it end up in cardiff docks in the 90s .berthed on bells wharf for years.

    Means nothing....how about actually putting some coverage in bringing home the origional royal iris that mean a lot to so many people that used or worked on her.
    Its a joke that part of our heritage is sotting rotting away till tbe day it gets scrapped

    To think the sad state it is in now on the Thames now. Decrepit and half sunk.
