Endeavor has a very unique redemption arc that I haven't seen before. He openly says that he will never be redeemed, and rhat he will always hate himself for the rest of his life for his actions. But he'll keep trying his best for the sake of his family's future
I havent read the manga but I can clearly see the reason that person kill people is endeavor so yeah pretty good reason to hate him. I mean i get your point, its best to hate both of them but liking endeavor and hating dabi seems so unrealistic which makes liking dabi and hating endeavor more applicible

The relationship between endeavour and his sons is simular to me and my father. Albeit he was an alcoholic who was working to much that ruined his body. I feel this so much. He has the worst anxiety and depression U can think of and it seemed he didn't want anything to do with me. I was never enough but I knew the alcohol and anxiety and depression was causing it and I now know he truly loves me and when he was in a mental hospital from a mental breakdown how I processed that (bare in mind I was in my exams not knowing if he was gonna die or not) his heart was beating over 210 BPM due to anxiety and I feel this relation ship like endeavours and his sons. It's crazy but it's all U know. And right there is how U feel at home 😢 It's all good tho 😂

Here's my take on Enji. He finally realized that he will never be forgiven by Touya/Dabi nor anyone around him. He said, and I quote: "For the rest of my life there will never be a day when I will pat myself on the back telling myself ' I've done a good job.' " His current mentality is that "if you don't forgive me, that's fine, but you can't go around killing random innocents. So if you wanna kill me, go for it, I won't stop you, but you need to go as well at some point. " Now does this justify what he had done? No, never in a million years. All the Endeavor haters fail to realize or are just blindly ignoring the fact that he is truly trying his best to change his ways. And all I'm saying is, that you can choose not to forgive the character, hate him even. But you at least gotta recognise the effort he's putting in. Like literally, he is willing to die if it's what it takes for Touya to tind solace and peace finally.

Endeavor is the best written character in the series and him actually realizing how wrong he was to treat his family and actively make strides to change and be better is amazing. We can go back and forth all day wether or not he can be forgiven and at the end of the day it's up to the ppl he hurt and no one else. As long as he learns from his past and makes a genuine effort to be a better person that's a win
I have mixed feelings about endeavor and dabi. I acknowledge and like that endeavor wants to atone for his mistakes as a husband and father, but it is a fitting punishment that his children don't want him in their lives because of his actions. While i do feel empathy for dabi and what lead to his breakdown into villainy, i also agree with what shoto said: Endeavor was crazy, and living with him was hell. But of all his children only dabi chose to become a murderer and burn innocent people. I empathize with both men, but i don't condone any of the actions they have taken, or the choices they've made which have only ever hurt the people around them.

Learning about Endeavor's true reasoning for being insecure and so headstrong in his ways (his father passing) was really needed for his story. It gave us perspective of why he sees weakness as such a bad thing, the one person he looked up to died because he wasn't strong enough and so he pushed his family to the brink, only to unintentionally repeat the cycle and create a monster because he wasn't strong enough emotionally to give his kids the life they deserved. It's tragic.
I just don't get people who hate Endeavor but love Dabi. Yeah Endeavor was an abusive PoS but still was a hero and saved innocent lives while Dabi was an actual murderer. Like 'Yeah I started shooting up a crowd but its ok b/c my cop dad abused me'
