One of the most memorable moments in this concert. When I was young, I admired her for extraordinary voice with limitless range. But now, as I grow older, I admire her for the artistry that she brings into every song she sings. Barbra is an artist through and through. The voice is a gift from god but being an artist requires a lifetime of hard work, determination, sensitivity and insight ("the recognition of new connections across existing knowledge"). That's why she always says she is not a legend but a "work-in-progress".
Paper darts .. I appreciate your unique insight into Barbra's extraordinary talent. It's hard to sum up this living legend. I'm looking forward to reading her memoir this fall. I am very fortunate to have seen her in concert 4 times. Each concert was literally out of this world.

Barbra is truly amazing, so talented a living legend. I saw her live in concert in Sydney, I had to fly across the country, but so glad I did. ❤
She has got to be the hardest-working person in show business. And by the way, her son, Jason Gould, is also a fantastic singer. Like buttah.
