I was suppose to attend weeks earlier but she got Laryngitis; so I was bumped to the last night which turned out to be the night HBO filmed her special! And after the show ended, she had to re- film 5 songs for some reason, so she comes out after we thought it was over and said "I know u must be tired, but I have to re-film 5 songs so if any of you could stay" and before she could finish that sentence the crowd burst in to the loudest cheers - we just lost our collective minds!!. She goes off for about 20 minutes and Marvin Hamlisch, her conductor, comes out and entertains the crowd playing Happy Birthday on the piano the way each of the great composers would have played it - Beethoven, Chopin, Mozart etc. I got to hear her sing Somewhere twice! The sad thing is actually the first time she sang it in the real concert was better, she was a bit stronger at the end and held the last note longer.....but the one in the HBO film is the 2nd take. Most New York Jews speak Yiddish. Mainly because we're primarily Ashkenazim. OMG, Linda Richmond was my FAVORITE Mike Meyers character and Coffee Talk was my FAVORITE skit on SNL.
All the parts where they appear to be looking at the audience or at each other, they’re reading their scripts. Especially before Michael goes onto the stage, and it appears they’re directing their dialogue at each other, but there’s clearly a prompter. Barbra had an ironic line, “I’m surprised you remembered all your lines” as PART of the script…

I had forgotten what a great actress Barbra Streisand is!
OMG Linda Richman and Barbara Streisand on stage together. I am so verklempt, I can die now.
I love so much how she incorporated that into her concert. That alone would be worth the cost of the ticket!♥♥
Talk amongst yourselves.......I'll give you a topic....Barbara and Linda Richman are both Shaina Punim Shaina Madelach! DISCUSS! 😄

Michael Myers is hysterical as Linda Richman. Together with Barbra is a total laugh riot!

Hate to tell you but genicktegezoint is a made up word-not Yiddish!! But funny!
@@ruthiscurlyHow do you say “pedantic” in Yiddish?
Michael Myers is wonderful as Ms. Richman.
Really talented.
There really are women like this character here in New York.
Linda was his mother in law, she was also an agent in Hollywood.
Mike Meyers speaks Yiddish better than Jews.😮

Linda Richmond is based on his former mother-in-law.
Loved it, loved everything about it! Linda Richman and Bahh-bra together I love it ❤️!
I was verklempt from the first moment. But, it was like butuh
HaHa!
LOL this was both a delicious comedic moment and a Yiddish lesson.
This segment was hilarious!
this was so satisfying after Barbra shortly appearing in the skit with Madonna and Linda on SNL..
Love Barbara as a " Funny Girl"!!great comic timing!
I’ve been verklempt for Barbra since I saw “A Star is Born”. She completely blew me away!
My favorite video on RUclips!!!
I love Barbra Streisand and Linda Richmond
This has made my YEAR! 😍
This was epic.
Loved the Yiddish!
I SO Love this! Myers is a genius and Barbra is fabulous with him. I'm still laughing.
Wow! This is so good. ❤
One of the greatest and most talented humans EVER to have walked this earth and....
Barbara Streisand.
Wow - I just noticed Nick Ashford & Valerie Simpson in the background @1:24 - Ashford & Simpson!!
Amazing interaction of tho amazing performers ❤
So much fun, thank you for sharing this!
Peak performance.
God I miss HIM!
OMG, what a wonderful surreal moment! Of course I'm verklempt!
This is like butter.
Linda Richman should have a talk show, sitcom....
That's brilliant!
Barbra eres única té amó no tendremos otra cómo tú
This is so brilliant
She talked about this in her book. I love both of them!
Oh my gosh he's brilliant: 'Kathie Lee, eat your heart out'
iirc, the "real" Linda Richman was also in attendance. i wonder how she was reacting lol
So funny! I love this skit...xoxo
Linda Richmond is based on Mike Myers’ mother-in-law.
Former mother-in-law. They divorced. He’s now married to a different woman.
Lighten up Francis
How fun!!
A lot of seniors in the audience that probably have no clue who this character is.
Loved 😍
This is hilarious haha
I didn’t realise Barbra spoke Yiddish
Not sure she speaks but for sure knows words. She is jewish and from brooklyn
Yes, and this is really going to blow your mind ... she's been known to sing too.

Young enough that she thinks the "Meet the Fockers lady" is singing Lea Michelle's songs.

Mike Myers was great…….
His only really great role.

You should be the Secretary of the Interiors....😅😅
This was so spontaneous and unscripted that I think Barbra was genuinely surprised.
it was so scripted that it was cringe how bad of an actress Barbara was.
