Thanks David and Cecil. I bought my 16 - 300 before I saw this video. You confirmed for me that I definitely made the right choice. I've been using it with a Nikon D7100 body and couldn't be happier with the lens. Thanks again !
I actually just bought this lens. I will be traveling out west soon and I plan on taking this lens with me. Your video was so helpful. I have a D3200 and a D7100.
Hi David thank you for the informative video. I am thinking about stepping up to a DSLR camera but still undecided on what lens or lenses I should buy. This is a great lens that I think would do everything but some reviews are saying the AF is slow, Not sure if that would be bad for me since I am not a pro. Any suggestions?
Thank you for the review. There are few reviews on this lens, and yours was very helpful. I considered buying a Nikon AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-300mm f/3.5-6.3G ED VR or the Tamron 16-300mm. My choice came down to: 16mm vs 18mm $900 v.s. $600. 6-Year Tamron Warranty. I'm not insinuating that $600 is chump change, far from it. Because super zoom lenses are always a compromise between convenience and image quality, I couldn't stomach the Nikon's $900 price tag. I purchased the Tamron 16-300mm F/3.5-6.3 Di II VC PZD. Does the Tamron 16-300 produce better images than my Nikkor 50mm f/1.8G for portraits? My Micro Nikkor 85mm f/3.5 for Macro? My 35mm f/1.8 for fast street photography shots? No it doesn't. When I just want to go out and not be weighed down by a bag full of lenses, the Tamron 16-300's convenience makes up for any shortcomings.
thank you for your video, despite of all good features with this lens, do you think it is trustable lens for high quality and sharpness like canon 24-105 f4 on canon 70d?
mrz 1342 If you think the canon 24-105 f4 is 'trustable lens for high quality' then you will appreciate this tamron. The 24-105 is not even sharp, tamron outperforms it optically, with a much better range.
+ABHISHEK PRASAD The 90mm is a dedicated Macro lens, so if you are looking strictly for macro, I'd go with that one. However, if you need more versatility for things like travel and/or landscape, too, then I'd go with this one.

Quality seems great. I wonder if I'd get the same sharpness on my nikon D5500 though
Im choosing between this and nikon 18-300 f3.5-6.3, which one would you recommend more
Hi David thank you for the informative video. Do you know if this lens works with the Olympus OM EM5 M II?
Quietpro Link this particular legs does not. However, Tamron makes a 14-150 for Olympus micro four thirds.

The problem is the vignetting.
