When you are attending an event, and you want to arrive in style, is there anything more special than a Rolls Royce Phantom? With doors that close on a button, heated rear seats and the option for a fridge full of champagne, riding in the rear of the Phantom is definitely luxurious!
Tiff isn't riding in the back of the Rolls Royce today though, so although he would like to sit back and enjoy the 1344 lights in the starlight headliner! Instead, he's off to a special event at the home of British Formula 1, the Silverstone Grand Prix Circuit!
In the front, the Phantom is just as luxurious, with a wonderful display that Rolls Royce call the gallery. Sitting on an aluminium, BMW engineered space frame and beneath that long bonnet lies a 6.75L, twin turbo V12, producing a huge 571HP. This launches the Phantom to 62MPH in 5.5 seconds, not that you'd want to do it, as your passengers would spill their champagne!
At 2 metres wide, 5.7 metres long, the Rolls Royce Phantom is the same size as a modern grand prix car! Led by the iconic Spirit Of Ecstasy at the end of that long bonnet.

I would spec mine in a similar way, although I wouldn’t go for rear screens. Picnic tables only. You don’t need rear screens in a Phantom.
Lowest spec is best, like HM state bentley. Most beautiful color ever. Tiff and Vicky best ever!!

Fifth Gear is great. But, Clarkson-era Top Gear is the best.
I just love most things the channel outs out, anything with Tiff in it just makes it so special, its a treat to watch him talk so passionately talk about car and car things. You say, as do Rolls Royce, that no two cars are the same. However today virtually all Rolls Royce interior's are black or white leather seats, black carpets, black wood & black interior roof lining. The exterior in most cases is Black or White, which is a real crime when you consider that Rolls Royce is one company that you can mix and match interior shades of leather and select one of 40,000 paint colours, yet 95% of buyers chose to stick to what 95% of car manufactures offer.

I wouldn’t option it either but it is an option not part of the default spec (which is still chrome).

Why would they not give a Rolls Royce which has a slightly more higher spec without missing the exquisite optional extras tiff only mentions about. Slightly ruined it for me imo. Apart from that, absolutely divine!
I always think of the Phantom as a chauffeur's car. I wonder how many owners actually drive theirs.

A strangely under-specced Phantom, even down to the painted mesh speaker grilles (which I actually prefer to the normal gaudy cheese graters). But I suppose being able to choose *not* to have things is part of the same luxury of choice as having every conceivable bell and whistle, and that is the RR experience.
I will never ever buy this disgusting car, the last true RR is the Silver Seraph and the Corniche V. I dont care how good is it, it is just too ugly. And the post-Arnage Bentleys looking too Mainstream. My dream Garage: Arnage R, Continental SC or Azure Widebody, and a Corniche V. Never liked the Phantom. Never.
There’s nothing like a Roller to get you to the airfield, it’s just you should probably buy the Wraith oynx black edition, so the Queen doesn’t get jealous and have 1 Para eliminate you. Bags of love for Tiff⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Such a shame it’s not British owned , I dont care who owns it or which Country the owner is H/Q’d in, it’s just sad a company with such pedigree across motor cars , aircraft engines both piston and jet is no longer (for many years now I know) rooted in its country of birth. Beautiful cars, I’m not British (my Dad was) , just sentimental.

I would have added some red or burgandy in the interior. Bkack and red work well together. In fact, to make interior stand out. How about whie as the main hide surface and burgandy accents as the center consoles, headrests, etc.

Interesting how the presenter is fascinated by infoteinment screen or wishes a screens to be fitted on back of front seats since he does look like old school type of a man. I think that successful people have better things to do or think about, rather than watching silly videos/ Tv/ internet on screens to keep themselves entertained. That is the ,,privilege,, for masses. Intelligent passenger will either conversate, listen to music, watch scenery or just dive into quiet solitary moments thinking about something meaningful.

The starlight headlining is a bit Chav. The picnic tables a bit Ryan Air. Better is have the fridge and reclining seat options as standard. The black wood looks tacky. Wood needs to be a nice rich brown. Tiff is not probally the best car presenter. He is the best car presenter in the world. With his truth, experience and delivery second to none.

I owned a 2008 Phantom back in the day. Nothing before or since comes close. In a league of its own. Factoid, the Phantom is narrower than a Range Rover
