Mine was going good like really good uassuly something happens that messes up all our plans but my sister ruined it she had been bragging about how she got me the perfect gift and how it was gonna be the best gift ever the gift she hinted at was a comfort character of mine a pillow of him and I struggl with bad anxiety and depression and family issues so comfort characters really help me calm down and help me relax and I got home and we did presents she didn't give me the box no no no she sat down next to me opened it and continued to hug to pillow of my favorite comfort character it broke my heart but I had to stay in the room and open the gifts holding back tears also had a friend over while they put a puzzle together I was in my room trying no to cry I felt ungrateful crashed confused I was depressed for a god few days haven't fully forgiven her infact when she was bragging how good of a gift she got me I started looking for Christmas presents since it was near that time I always get her a birthday present always something she wants or needs she never gets me anything idk the whole situation messed me up since ima already going through alot it really messed me up big time
Edit I should mention my parents did nothing really hurt me

My birthday is in 2 weeks. I'm crying listening to this because I'm having to spend my sweet 16th alone.. One of my friends weren't able to come and the other flaked out on me. Its not the saddest reason, but it still hurts knowing I'm having to spend a special milestone alone.

My sister (twin) is a basically popular girl and all day people were say they forgot about me and all that so obviously i was devastated (it was our 16th birthday) and there were signs outside that said happy birthday to the both of us and no one remembered me. My entire family got together the next day for a little party and it only endded up with my step sister embarrassing me because i didn’t pass my drivers permit test and i was super upset about it when i confronted my step dad about it he said “well look at you and look at your sister who’s more likely to fail” that hurt a lot and my mom said nothing to him the entire day was a mess really 😥
Everyone was talking while I just sat at the table quietly poking at my cake because I didn’t like how it tasted but didn’t say anything because I didn’t want anyone to be mad on my birthday. I forced myself to eat it and when I was asked if I liked it I nodded and continued eating it

This playlist hits hard for me bc today is my bday and most of my friends forgot my birthday and the one that remembered didn't say happy birthday at all. My parents remembered but won't be home because they have to work and my siblings are forcing themselves to like me.

thankful to my one friend who did remember, the one i dont talk with a lot anymore. crazy how the one who i talk to the least was the only one to remember. i cried, how could they forget? i sit there and listen to my friends, their funny rants and their deep vents. i offer laughs and advice, i hang out with them, buy them things, make sure nobody feels left out. yet i cant even get a "happy birthday" message from them. out of all five of my friends, only one remembered. i love them, im so thankful for them. their message literally brightened me. writing this is lifting a massive weight from my chest. writing helps, i wrote in my journal about today. crying on my birthday is hard, it hurts; no matter how much i tell myself that i dont really care, i care. to my one friend who remembered. thank you. im so grateful for you. and to my friends who forgot, ill forgive you when you realize. i just think i need some time. im going to write once more, a final note and burn it, releasing the ashes of my written feelings into the wind. to whoever is experiencing something like how i am, happy birthday. some might not care, but others will. you just have to reach out

I remember when I was actually excited for my birthday.
Listened to this last year listening to it again this year what a great 15th birthday.
One of the reasons I’m listening too this is because all of my siblings have huge party’s for their birthdays and all I get is a birthday card and the majority of my friends don’t really celebrate birthdays or Atleast mine usually all I get is a ‘happy birthday’ but again sometimes my family makes me feel like I’m a burden and an ungrateful brat and then whine about how I’m rude for not saying happy birthday to someone else even tho it’s my birthday and the party’s they get are usually at like a trampoline park or skating or going to great wolf lodge or traveling to other places for their birthdays and I feel like I’m being selfish for being upset about what I get for mine
One of the reasons they get big parties for their birthdays is probably because their birthdays are really close to one of our other family members or the same ones and I don’t have someone that has a close enough one because the closest one is on March 8th and my birthdays on March 1st and my siblings love to Brag about what they got and I almost never get anything and if I do it’s either something that one of my siblings didn’t want or something that used to be theirs so maybe a hand me down?? I’m not sure and they get to see our mom and I don’t get to see her on my birthday but it makes sense why I don’t sometimes because she has twins to take care of so I can’t blame her for that so I’m trying to be grateful of what I have

This is a good playlist for me because I went to school on my birthday, and EVERYONE forgot. My friends, and my teachers, EVEN the teacher that wrote it down. I listened to this on my birthday (july 20th), matched how I felt pretty well. realized a lot of people didn't actually care, so that was fun. No tears, just numbness and hollow. I had no reason to be sad, because I knew it would happen, and I had no reason to happy because it did happen. all and all 10/10 playlist. I enjoyed the music that matches my mood.

Last year and the year before that, nobody remembered it was my birthday. So I ended up just staring at the ceiling, waiting for someone to remember it, no one did, and soon my brother's birthday comes, everyone greets him, sends him gifts, he had a birthday party, while I just sat there. It was a nice experience, an experience of real life.

I'm so sorry for venting here, but I really have no other place to do it.
Today was my birthday, wich cassually happened to be the same day as someone so much prettier, popular, know and liked than me. She had a party to celebrate her birthday today, I didn't want to go because I wanted this day to be mine, just 24 hours to myself, away from the problems in my family, away from people that drain me, away from all. But my mother just didn't care and told me to go to the party, I'm pretty sure it was because she got drunk the day before and didn't want to deal with me.
The thing is that I got to stand there, with people I barely knew, in a place so bright, and loud, and crowded. I wanted to cry so bad cause it just was wrong. I was literally left alone, everyone seem to have a friend but me. All the attention was drown to her, everything was for her, nobody remembered me even though they knew me for years at this point and knew it was my birthday too. Nobody there told me "happy birthday" or anything. I was there. Invisible. I just sat and tried to pretend to be happy.
When I got home it just got worse, I wanted to go to bed and forget all, I really am tired, all the noise and talk I had to go trough was just too much, I can't handle situations THAT stimulating. I wanted to go to bed and get some rest, listen to some music and have this shitty day over. But no.
Today is the birthday of my mother too. She wanted me to stay there, in a living room full of adults who only smoke and shout. So I stood there. I got misgendered and deadnamed all the fucking day, but it didn't matter, home isn't any better, they just misgender me more, and I'm sure it's on purpose. I stood there and entire hour. I was so tired I have to excuse myself and go to the bathroom to stpo myself from crying. When I went back i begged if I could just go to my room. Everyone (specially my mother) got mad at me, calling me "egoist" and a "party-ruiner-nuisance" I left the room and locked my room to get away from the loud voices of my family.
You birthday is supposed to be a happy day, but this day was just a miserable day for me.
I don't think anyone will read this, but if someone does. Then thank you for reading all of this poorly writed crap.

I turned 18 and honestly was hopeful that there was gonna be something good for my birthday and everything was just disappointing. I didn't get any present even a simple cake but i had a little glimmer of hope that when i got home, my family would have like a surprise gift for me and i waited until it was already night and nothing ever happened. I remember not being able to sleep, being so, so excited, not containing myself as I waited until 5PM for my mom to get home, because that’s when the party started!! At least that’s how it had been the past 17 birthdays. Turning 18 is suppose to be a big deal, you’re stepping over the threshold of being a child and turning to a legal adult, but then why did I feel so childish as I sobbed all night long? I waited. Maybe they had a surprise? Maybe they wanted to wait until after dinner, dinner that I didn’t get to choose of course, to bring out cake and a small present! That had to be it. But I waited. And I waited. I waited until the clock struck midnight and the lights were all out and cried. They had really forgotten. I didn’t get a single happy birthday from anyone, no acknowledgement, no nothing. I ended up looking for videos on RUclips of people singing happy birthday for comfort because it absolutely was NOT a happy birthday.
I’m closer to my 19th birthday than I am my 18th, but man. It hurts. I’ve cried more over it than anything else, I’m sitting here struggling to type over the wet drops all over my screen omg embarrassing- but if it’s your birthday and you feel alone, I wish you the happiest birthday ever.
