its my 19th today, i talked all week about how weird it was going to be turning 19, reminding all my friends saying stuff like "god im gonna be such an old man on sunday haha" i havent gotten one happy birthday, not even from my mom.

I turned off my birthday reminder on Facebook. It is 5 PM and now and nobody wished me happy birthday, not even my family and roommate. I guess no one really remember.

It’s my birthday tommorow When I was younger I was *so* exited by the prospect of birthday party’s, going to any I managed to get an invite for! But every year, whenever I hosted my own party’s, no one would show up. And by middle school, I wasn’t hosting party’s anymore. A few years ago I made a group of friends, the first group that actually stuck instead of ditching me a few months later. It’s been three years since I met them, and I’ve always rejected celebration This year?? I opened up!! I said “sure! Could we do somthing small with a few close friends??” They promised to plan all of it! A quiet night with my closest friends, a drink or two, and just enjoying each others company!! My parents had even said they would take me to my favorite restaurant!! Earlier today, I was told by my parents that the dinner was being re-scheduled to next week. As tomorrow my brother has some football thing he refuses to skip. Its fine! My parents had always been known to cancel stuff last minute, I’m used to it. Sure it stung but I still have the party!! No. I just got a text from a friend saying they’re planning a *large* party, dedicated to dnd and other board games. The exact same day the party was meant to be. I want to not care I really do “Oh go anyways it will still be fun” I just wanted a small hangout. I don’t have the attention span for most games. I hate crowds, it’s like she planned a hangout built specifically to keep me away. She knows I don’t like those things. In the past I would have shrugged and said it’s fine but this time it truly hurts. The first time I actually try to plan something! Truly celebrate for once!!!!! And both plans get canceled. Am I really that annoying? That unloveable that everyone I held close would want to skip my birthday plans?? I feel stupid for even giving the whole birthday thing another chance. And I’m dreading tomorrow. Happy birthday to me, lord knows I’ll be the only one to care.

Walking around for 4 hours, expecting to be laughing the entire time but instead we’re split into two groups. Instead of being together on my birthday, we still split up. I hate being the therapist friend. I still have to listen to their sob stories that are so conveniently about how they hold a grudge against each other. I’m sorry, could be talk a little differently? Of course, I like talking to people. But it’s just that I never get to talk, because they always talk about themselves or just start being disappointed. It’s such a fvcking misery that u still have to monitor everybody’s “FEELINGS” even when this is the only day wanted it to be about me, and I can’t even have that. Is it my fault and my job that you guys can’t develop your emotions right? Or am I just a bad therapist friend? Of course, I’m still the “NEGATIVE NANCY.” I’m sorry bro. Didn’t mean to let you down, just wanted to be able to express my head without dealing with anybody else’s vents. They never even notice, I never vented to them. Well I only did it once. A week ago. But when they vent to me it’s now my problem that I have to deal with their negativity in my head. And when it’s the end of the day, I still feel guilty that I could’ve never fixed it. It’s all my problem anyways. I’m sorry for this dude. Really, I should do my “job” better on my birthday.

pov you woke up and your mom almost imidiently starts yelling at you calling you mean things anf then grounds you + the fact that she then procceds to treat your twin normally and you have school and you have to deal with the urge to cry but also the fact that you miss your friendgroup bc now you arent in the group anymore :D happy birthday to me

i’m gonna sneak out soon for the first time and come back in 30 mins to an hour lmfaoo (i’ll leave. a note on my bed incase my mom finds out so she doesn’t get worried) edit: so i got outside, walked down to the end of the street then i heard a car, got scared and walked right back to my house and went inside 😭😭 (i saw a cat on the way back tho so totally worth it)

Why does everything feel worse on your birthday….

I always cry on my birthday so, I'm saving this for when its August 13th cause ik my dad will yell at me for no reason.. again.

Yesterday I turned 14. Fun. My family didn’t even bother to get me a card. I’ve been sobbing uncontrollably just thinking about how forgetful I am. I remember my brother getting a card and money but I don’t want money. I just want a card that says how much they love me or how I’m growing up too fast. Really I just wanted something other than a forced happy birthday.

Today's my birthday... the people I love the most never even bothered to say hi at the least... so much for giving them my all.

Tomorrow I celebrate 24 years since I was born to die. I'm not satisfied, happy, nor could I ever truly be satisfied since there is a void staring at me every time I lose focus on the daily tasks. I used to do drugs and I'm also an alcoholic, but lately I have steered clear from those, so the pain and despair are tolerable. Yeah, I tried everything, pills, I'm hitting the gym, eating good, plenty of sleep, water, meditation etc. I have extremely good friends and family and I do not struggle with money, never did. Guess what I'm trying to say is that depression doesn't discriminate, because some people simply have to deal with it. It never goes away. It loses intensity, but there's always in your shadow. You can't truly help someone whose own mind is eating itself. Keep up, guys, all the best to those who take more from life than those like me. And to those like me, I can't help, but I understand. Know that I understand... :)

when i was younger, i was diagnosed with JMML which is a childhood cancer (type of leukemia). i went into remission may 11, 2012. we celebrate this day every year, because it’s a really important date to us. but that was yesterday, and my parents completely forgot. so today (after my LITTLE BROTHER) reminded them, we went out to get ice cream. the entire time, they were complaining about having to drive in the rain, miss their TV show, and how we would be getting home late.

Today's mu 16th birthday and I want to give up. I've never been a strong person and when I think about what I'll lose in the future I just want to die before it hits me. It's too much. I think about deaths of my relatives all the time. I don't want to witness it. I want to die.

turned 15 today, the only birthday wishes i got were from strangers i met online and from my mum and dad. out of the many friends i thought i had,only one of them actually told me happy birthday and i appriciate her so much for it too. it makes me feel a little less lonely to know that strangers on the internet care about me more than my own 'friends'

My family chose to spend my birthday out of town at a religious conference instead of with me. So I am here, so it goes sadly sadly

today is my birthday. second of may 2024. :) yeahh my birthday...

Ever since my 13th birthday, I lost happiness on my birthday. It was during the pandemic, and it was probably the worst birthday ever, I was crying the whole day, I felt like none of my family actually cared that it was my special day, I know now that it's not true, but back then I felt like that. My mom made this stupid shirt that said something like, "I turned 13 during Covid!" And I hate it, I refuse to even look at it. My mom especially made me feel horrible that day, she wanted everything to be perfect, but all I wanted was to enjoy my birthday, I touched a fricking balloon, and she yelled at me for it. I went to bed early that night just wanting to forget that birthday. The only good thing about it was my sister, she brought all the balloons from downstairs up to my room, she knows how much I love balloons, so when I woke up I saw something that made me smile. It's not like I hate my birthday, or want to forget it, I just can't seem to be happy about it anymore. I eventually stopped crying every birthday. In fact, today is my birthday and, although it wasn't a perfect day, it was good. Because I didn't cry, and I made plans to have a relaxing evening with nothing big happening. To me, that is a perfect birthday.

Literally, I always wished everyone a happy birthday as soon as the clock strikes 00:00. and for some reason no one answered, haha. It's funny that I bought an expensive thing for a person I cherish, drew a drawing (although I have an artblock), and also planned to order rings... I expected that at least she would be the first. But no, the first ones were the people I least expected... I hate it, but what can I do? I just hope she'll at least text me in the morning... I wish you all a good mood, guys. I love you.

I have smaller problems compared to everyone here lol. I’ve just had consecutive shitty birthdays and was looking forward to this one .. I put in a lot of efforts to find good people and made amazing memories with them.. I just idk when it came to them doing mine.. they couldn’t do it like I expected , they were treating it like a burden to make it a surprise, they rushed it and went to sleep. It’s maybe not their fault and it’s too many expectations on them idk my mental health being piss poor idk I’m just crying and I’m confused cause I can’t ever fucking get it right I can’t tell my younger self she was loved right for atleast a single birthday since we grew up and I just wish I don’t feel like this . I really wish to be happy and loved. It’s just one day of the year that’s mine..
