    That's not the reason. The reason is it's harder to take out for the graders and also . Especially when your doing 7k a day

    I just use a rigid top loader but attach a pull tab to the penny sleeve

  • @PatTheRipper
    @PatTheRipper Год назад +25

    Nope. It’s cuz it’s way easier to get the cards out and less likely they damage your card and have to replace it. Think about being a grader and pulling 100’s of cards out of toploaders every single day.

      @@hotsauce2640 oh yes. Well do yourself a favor and take some cards you don’t care about and shake them around in top loader and semi rigid holder and see how much they move. Keep in mind they move very little compared to that during shipping.

    I used to work at a grading company. The card savers can be cut and then the card easily removed. It is the primary reason.

      Instructions will be on the website of whatever grading company you want to use.

  • @RealzFoSho
    @RealzFoSho 11 дней назад

    Use the recommended brand. Ultra Pro is not the same thing as Card Savers.
    Make sure you use the number 1's. They are a bit larger, easier to get cards in and out without damage, and what the grading companies want you to use.
    Stop using penny sleeves. These are not rigid toploaders. It is just costing you money and annoying the grader. If you use the proper brand and size, a penny sleeve does nothing positive so save the money and don't piss off the person you want a good grade from. The Card Saver is already made of soft archival grade plastic and will hold your card in place properly without needing a sleeve as a buffer/filler.

    • @KicksAndFits
      @KicksAndFits 5 дней назад

      They literally tell you on the PSA instructions to put them in a penny sleeve lol

    • @RealzFoSho
      @RealzFoSho 5 дней назад

      @@KicksAndFits They say you may, not that you should or need to, in the submission guide.
      There is no benefit gained from using them. They are an extra step, extra cost, risk corner damage, and can allow the card to slip out of the Card Saver. All bad, no good.
      Roll the MJ clip.
      Definitely use them if you are using top loaders for personal storage purposes where the card is stationary and not being transported anywhere and handling is the only concern. If you are transporting a card you care about the condition of, even short distances, use a Card Saver without a penny sleeve so it stays protected and in place while in transit and subject to jostling and vibration.

    I would assume it's because they are more secure and therefore harder to take out. Worse for us, better for them. It's how it goes unfortunately.
