I think the toughest thing with deals (especially this 1st one) is it's not the dealer's job to get you the cards at a price that you still have room to resell them. (if that makes sense) and that's where I think deals fall apart all the time. Just have to find prices that are fair all the way around. (thats tough to do sometimes)

Are you able to give us a financial breakdown on how this all pans out after selling? Would be good to see realistic expectations if people wanted to try doing this themselves (bearing in mind that you have a large community to join the streams).

Most of those cards weren't penny sleeved or top loaded. Forgot to factor that additional cost and time.
I wouldn't have touched have those; especially not a 5/10$ range.

Loved your videos about BIG TIME deals and trades but i have to say buying out the $1 bins at a card show is a bit like Mr. Burns from the Simpsons buying out batteries from all the local groceries stores! You're WAY past this phase. Lets the kids have fun finding hidden gems and trading up with their friends...you remember how it was like? I hope you do. 😢

I was surprised by this video that Jeff doesn't know if this is a good deal or not. The $5 to $10 cards not being taken care of in sleeves in top loaders is also concerning as this is an extra cost. Also that box seems very overpriced.

@@danielginsburg9558 There are VERY few late 80s/ early 90s baseball cards worth anything. Even if you get them for a penny a card you overpaid. I know a guy with a literal entire garage of 90 Fleer and 89 Donruss... stuff like that. The cardboard is worth more than the card itself lol. Total overprinted junk. Rarity = value, when companies start to overproduce, you bail as a collector. That's what tanked prices this last time. Interest came back so the card companies got greedy like they always do and way overprinted. Time to exit until they come back to their senses and give us that ultra rarity we want. Vote with your wallet!

I don’t know how much it helps their negotiating when they are “assuming” how many cards are in a box when they are basing their asking number on a per-card price structure? What if there are actually 779 cards and not 1,000? I would think that number needs to be definitively ascertained “IF” you are basing your thinking, pricing and offering around that variable being a real and exact number. Which it can’t e unless you know what that actual number is. Like I’ll sell you for .50 cents a card if you wanna believe there’s 8000 cards when there are really actually 4300. This way of doing it seems problematic, unless they have their own reasons and ways for doing that in their negotiation process that benefits their approach, which only they would know how it does.

The hobby is raw
First and foremost you need to have an experienced buyer…being in the hobby 40 years I know I can buy patches and autos in volume @ .50 and below a card. Also your buyers should not be advertising who they are you want your buyer to be a mystery because it brings down your cost of entry or your going to pay the mark up on lots because of who you are. Also you need regional buyers so someone based in each region you can send to shows again quietly buying up volume and sending the back to your storefront. It’s not hard to buy in volume the hard part is getting out of the way of someone with real experience in volume deals and let them make you money. Just my opinion as volume buyer that I am I pay much much lower than your current buyer for expample last national I purchased over 50,000 refractors and my price points were much much lower than your paying out and this included stars as well.

Because I have hundreds of thousands of cards in my collection ranging from All Sports and all genres from the 60s and 70s 80s and 90s and a lot of stuff in the 2000s Fleer Donruss Topps leaf you name it I got it. I'm 47 and I've been collecting my whole life and not just cards. I also do TCG cards I got plenty of magic and a crap ton of action figures and special edition unopened collectibles. I'm looking to move it all in bulk and you seem to be the only person I see do that LOL help me get it out of here because my wife is getting sick of this stuff and I'd rather have money to take my family on a vacation and make them happy instead of mad because the house is full up of my crap LOL

Sure you might love a certain team or player, but the collectibility seems limited to me with foils that are supposed to make you go ow its foil thats special. The Artworks are very generic and not appealing

how do dealers at shows have $10/card boxes and not AT LEAST have them in penny sleeves???........there is no shot i will be bidding on those cards in whatnot knowing they have been flipped through unprotected...........also, how do you even know you made "Huge PROFIT"? you haven't even sold them yet......all these big card streamers claiming all this profit yet i have yet to see an actual breakdown of the net profit(loss) from any of the videos that are ALWAYS made claiming profit.
