Can you do a video on hand sanitizer scents as well? This really happened I had used a hand sanitizer. Then I went into a store. The cashier repeatedly asked the customer before me what she had used. I repeatedly said it's me you are smelling. She asked me what I had used. I told her hand sanitizer. I showed her the hand sanitizer at her request. She wanted to know where I got it. It is as you said in a previous video about scents. Your scent can be a talking point.
I've tried a some of the pdms that people generally liked (Herod, Carlisle and Layton etc) and was underwhelmed. I purchased a partial bottle of Kalan (blind) simply because I thought the bottle was stunning. Turns out I really like it! Of the few that I've I've tried its only Kalan and Pegasus Exclusif that have stood out so far. I don't think either of these are that hyped though 🤷🏻♂️
The first time I smelled Layton I wanted to bite the test strip it was sprayed on. Then I smelled Herod and then wanted to burry my face into my sweater. I’m three bottles into collecting these. I absolutely love these fragrances.
You will end up smelling like Layton forever then! Lol don’t drop your bottles be careful. My Percival tipped over the other day and fell on the carpet. I didn’t think much of it but when I went to pick it up I noticed it snapped where the cap attaches. Don’t worry I saved the juice and now my house smells like Percival 😅

Just splurged 850 Euro on 3 bottles in a single shot. LAYTON LATON EXCLUSIF CARLISLE Layton exclusif grew on me like never it has such a dark and animalistic vibe to it especially the dry down which is phenomenal but I suggest to try a tester before going for it it's not for everyone
Greenley was my first PDM fragrance. I bought a few creed fragrances for the Mrs. and I from the nice lady at a Bloomingdale’s and she suggested that I mixed Greenley with Creed GIT and bought it on the spot.
Just got the discovery set to see what Layton and Pegasus was all about. Selected Godolphin for the add-on. Percival is by far the winner. The rest remind me of old people smells.
Great video, Carlisle is also my #1 PDM.. I think the original Layton imo is better than the Exclusif, Layton is perfect the way it is, Greenley is the most hated on PDM and I personally love it, I always get compliments when I wear it

I think I just prefer fresher scents. Only a of these smells very good to me, although I would buy a few. The only one that stood out to me was greenley.
Percival, Carlisle, and Layton Exclusif I've tried as a sample and all three smelled absolutely incredible! Trying to save up to buy them..pricey but I'd say it's well worth the money. I'm pretty picky when it comes to cologne. The scents caught me by surprise, and I instantly fell in love with it. Compliments left and rights, but in all honesty the smell is more for my nose hahah
To me the very best is Carlisle. Others can be good but not very original or too expensive. I have layton that is too young and simple for me(like a niche version of 1 million/Hugo boss), and sometimes i like the lovely Pegasus. Galloway is very clean and simple. Never tried the exclusif, seedle and percival.
Not very original??? I would disagree with that, Percival being the exception most PdM’s are unique and original. Red Tobacco though smells very similar to Carlise but came out afterwards. I don’t think there is anything out there like Layton, Layton Exclusif or Pegasus Exclusif or even Oajan…
@@rpatrickpm4097 Never tried Red tobacco or Percival; layton is like apple and vanilla, Pegasus should be similar to Hypnotic Poison, Oajan has too much cinnamon plus vanilla that is very common, i prefer the spicy Amouage Journey to it for the price. Also The exclusifs are all about an addition of oud. PDM is a vanilla brand, xD not that there is anything wrong with trying to match the tastes of the general public.

Must be doing something wrong with my sample of Herod. Tested it several times and it’s an immediate skin scent with no projection. 30-60 min later it’s non existent.
It smells like dr proper to me. It’s nice but I think if people aren’t passionate about fragrances like we are they would think it smells weird. I’ve found that women just like fresh designer scents so it’s not always worth spending lots of money on niche sometimes.
i smelled carlisle in saks as a final recommendation from the lady assisting me. it had so much more character than everything else i smelled and i bought it within minutes of my first smell.
These perfumes are very expensive, but definitely keep up with the quality. My faves are Layton, Herod and Carlisle. I agree with Antonio that Carlisle is the best PDM, gorgeous frag ...
Yea same . People shit on it because it smells too designer for them but I don’t care . I have gotten so many compliments wearing it from ladies it’s unreal . Also it has aged well in my bottle & smells more complex now than it did when I first opened it .

Love the video, i tried Layton just a few days ago and ( for me) it didn’t live up to the hype, I loved Herod, Pegasus/ Pegasus Exclusif even Galloway but Layton wasn’t a first love for me unfortunately and I wanted to love that fragrance because of all of the hype it gets Let’s not forget about carlisle, best PDM by far in my opinion
Yup I have 7 PdMs and have tried Godolphin so in total I've tried 8. My 2 faves are Carlisle and Herod. Those 2 are divine. After wearing Layton a few times, I've warmed up to it and quite like it but have to admit it's rather overrated and not PdM's best, JMHO.

Like in my opinion something that deserves all the hype it gets it’s Creed Aventus only because it’s such a likable scent and in my case it was love at First smell, it’s one of those fragrances that I don’t see anyone hating if your wearing it ( Only online it gets hate🤣 ).
Layton is really overrated. The opening is really synthetic and cough syrupy and it only projects for like an hour. I put 6 sprays on my neck once and nobody could tell I was wearing anything.
In the air Greenlee has got to be on the same level as Pegasus EX & Layton Exclusive. I like Pegasus Exclusive better but I reach for Greenlee much more. Situation & weather love GREENLEE. Environment is everything.
I finally bought a sample of PDM…Herod. And wow what a fragrance. My wife was wowed by it too. I own quite a few Creed but it looks like I will be buying PDM now as well.
I got my travel spray sample size from scentbox and was amazed at how much I liked it. Ended up getting another lol If it smells too simple/feminine for anyone, layer it with spice bomb extreme. Pretty amazing
Just purchased Percival and I am BLOWN AWAY. Absolutely amazing and 4 hours in it smells just as strong. (Just sprayed for the first time 4 hours ago) if it lasts any less than 8 hours I’ll come back and edit this
@@abeladonay9964 Nordstrom. They carry it online and in some department stores. If you find one with a fragrance section that carries it you can try all of them. Personally I’m a big fan of Percival, Layton, Sedley, Herod, and many others. So far only own Percival but will probably get Layton next
Antonio, what can you say about the performance of PDMs nowadays? I've seen that they've lowered the oils concentration from like 23% to 18%, and people on Fragrantica say that current batches have much much weaker performance than in the older ones.
All of my PDM fragrances (btw I have Layton, Layton Exclusif, Percival, Herod, Greenley, and Sedley) last a good 6-8 hours and they're all 2019-2021 batches
I just bought the masc discovery, tried layton, one other, and carlisle. Carlise lasted BEAST MODE 14 hrs later i STILL smell it without trying to touch my nose to my chest. The other two died out VERY FAST. Almost non existent after 2 hrs. But that carlisle, holy shit what a winner. They all smell expensive, but only the carlisle so far lasted and totally feels worth the asking price. Damn thats a good frag. I own Mercedes private and azzaro the most wanted and both last beast mode, but carlisle is on another planet. It SMELLS expensive as hell, not just strong. And has the stamina.
Finally was able to smell Layton, Layton Exclusif, and Percival...hard pass on all 3 for me. Percival smells identical to Calvin Klein Eternity, sounds crazy, but smell them side by side, you'll be amazed.
@@qusaimousa1 Yes, PDM fragrances have been a hard pass from me. All the ones I've smelled just don't do it for me. I've been sticking with Xerjoff & Roja Parfums, lately.

Galloway is my all time favorite DRESS UP fragrance (especially living in florida) would never wear it to the beach (that's Tom Ford mandarino di Amalfi aqua) but as you said, summer wedding, HAS to be Galloway

Outstanding video brother! Carlisle, IMO, is undoubtedly PDM's crown jewel. Its distinctiveness is unmatched. Other than Akaster, I own the entire men's PDM house and your critiques are spot on. While I would re-arrange my rankings a bit, numero uno is the one that matters most. Again brother, helluva video.
Kalan is the most sexy fragrance from pdm. I wore so many pdm fragrances but with kalan i got soo many compliments, so many ppl asked me what im wearing, i Love it.
Percival is a big whiff of medicine. 🤢 VERY disappointing for the love it gets.. Layton is great but doesn’t knock your socks off. Greenley is like a ultra high end refined, smooth version of Irish Spring body wash and smells aMAzing and I mean that in the best way possible it isn’t a bad thing, on the contrary. Carlisle, Herod are just 🤭 so. Good. And one of the exclusif’s smelled like a niche Armani Code but can’t remember which one. Sedley is like PDM’s version of a more luxurious Blue de Chanel and easiest to wear out of these I’ve mentioned. Herod I would wear everyday too. It’s so good. Percival is the only one i didn’t like at all. The rest I haven’t smelled yet. Demi Rawlings men’s buying guides and Aaron Terrence Hughes are the best breakdowns of PDM. Edit: Was able to sniff Pegasus and Kalan a few days ago..Pegasus also gave me the same cough medicine vibe that Percival did but not as heavy. It still smelled good but I don’t see how women think it’s sexy and love it. People say it changes throughout the day but it didn’t for me. Kalan I am indifferent to; it wasn’t memorable but it smelled z., but I thought it was better than Pegasus and Percival. So far I’d probably go with Carlisle, Herod, and Sedley and Layton. Former for going out and latter for everyday year round wear
I have over 20 fragrances in my collection. I have 3, maybe 4 I would consider my "go to's" ... i.e. fragrances I always reach for while the others collect dust on a shelf.
One my favorite houses and Carlisle is awesome, but you missed my absolute favorite from the house, Oajan..it is so damn good and surprised not on your list. If haven't tried, get your nose on it, great vid.
I agree I do not like Kalan at all, when I smell it I wanna throw up, it has this metallic sink smell to it but with a crash of sweet cherry, idk man just not for me
Carlisle is an absolute masterpiece. Im sad that these days all I know is the 81% batch Ive never had the pleasure of the older 77% batches that seem to have reached legendary status. But oh well, price isnt bad these days at around 180-200 so I'll just apply liberally 😅
That’s crazy, smells like a cleaning spray solution I use to wipe down the counters. I tried many times to see if my mind changed and just couldn’t enjoy it like the others I’ve tried. Glad it works for you guys though
@@sebastian8040 I’ve never used a cleaning spray that stunk, so I don’t see anything wrong w it smelling like a cleaning spray, I personally love it, like I said I’m on my 2nd bottle, and it’s in my personal top 5 PDM favorites.. Another underrated PDM is Kuhuyan which in my opinion is a better leather scent than Gololphin

Interesting. The ONLY Parfum de Marly that is own is Carlisle. It is one of my favorites, since I tend to like spicy, woody scents much more than citrus based frags. Thanks for the review.
I’ve noticed that PDM and their 2021 reformulations did changed the performance that regularly RUclipsr talk about. These videos are from 3 years ago. Newer batches last about 2-3 hours.

I think overall PDM is a bit overrated. Only absolutely necessary offerings from them are Carlisle and Layton. Sedley is also awesome. Pervival was way too meh.
I sadly find most of the PDM fragrances to sweet, and i love Tobacco Vanille. Herod could be amazing, but what ruins it for me is the sweet, sour cherry note.
So how is the sweetness a problem when TV is sweeter than many PDMs. I would categorize PDMs as more powdery rather than sweet, especially in the drydown. Although I do agree with you on Herod, that sweet cherry note along with the ashy tobacco is not a stunner.
KALAN not #1??? Kalan is unique for guys who like to smell manly and dominant alpha male cologne. That one should of been number #1 the other ones are not as unique, kinda forgettable. KALAN IS #1!!!!!

For compliments I have the say that Layton is in my top 5 of all time of any fragrances.
Yea same . People shit on it because it smells too designer for them but I don’t care . I have gotten so many compliments wearing it from ladies it’s unreal . Also it has aged well in my bottle & smells more complex now than it did when I first opened it .

Love the video, i tried Layton just a few days ago and ( for me) it didn’t live up to the hype, I loved Herod, Pegasus/ Pegasus Exclusif even Galloway but Layton wasn’t a first love for me unfortunately and I wanted to love that fragrance because of all of the hype it gets

Yup I have 7 PdMs and have tried Godolphin so in total I've tried 8. My 2 faves are Carlisle and Herod. Those 2 are divine. After wearing Layton a few times, I've warmed up to it and quite like it but have to admit it's rather overrated and not PdM's best, JMHO.
@@lettuce1305 i have to agree, Herod and Carlisle are great contenders, and after a few days of trying out the sample i am to warming up to Layton, i also do think it’s over hyped. Like in my opinion something that deserves all the hype it gets it’s Creed Aventus only because it’s such a likable scent and in my case it was love at First smell, it’s one of those fragrances that I don’t see anyone hating if your wearing it ( Only online it gets hate🤣 ).

Layton is really overrated. The opening is really synthetic and cough syrupy and it only projects for like an hour. I put 6 sprays on my neck once and nobody could tell I was wearing anything.

In the air Greenlee has got to be on the same level as Pegasus EX & Layton Exclusive. I like Pegasus Exclusive better but I reach for Greenlee much more. Situation & weather love GREENLEE. Environment is everything.
Yes I love Greenley, I don’t know why some reviewers hate on it, I think it’s amazing, So many people gave me compliments when Ive worn it..

I finally bought a sample of PDM…Herod. And wow what a fragrance. My wife was wowed by it too. I own quite a few Creed but it looks like I will be buying PDM now as well.
I got my travel spray sample size from scentbox and was amazed at how much I liked it. Ended up getting another lol
If it smells too simple/feminine for anyone, layer it with spice bomb extreme. Pretty amazing
Just purchased Percival and I am BLOWN AWAY. Absolutely amazing and 4 hours in it smells just as strong. (Just sprayed for the first time 4 hours ago) if it lasts any less than 8 hours I’ll come back and edit this

@@abeladonay9964 Nordstrom. They carry it online and in some department stores. If you find one with a fragrance section that carries it you can try all of them. Personally I’m a big fan of Percival, Layton, Sedley, Herod, and many others. So far only own Percival but will probably get Layton next

Antonio, what can you say about the performance of PDMs nowadays? I've seen that they've lowered the oils concentration from like 23% to 18%, and people on Fragrantica say that current batches have much much weaker performance than in the older ones.
All of my PDM fragrances (btw I have Layton, Layton Exclusif, Percival, Herod, Greenley, and Sedley) last a good 6-8 hours and they're all 2019-2021 batches
My layton isn't nearly as strong as the tester in the store and doesn't really project I have a 2021
@@savagepaul- Check the bottom of your box. The old Layton said 78% alc vol while the new version says 82%.
PDM is WATER 💦 down🤧
I just bought the masc discovery, tried layton, one other, and carlisle. Carlise lasted BEAST MODE 14 hrs later i STILL smell it without trying to touch my nose to my chest. The other two died out VERY FAST. Almost non existent after 2 hrs.
But that carlisle, holy shit what a winner. They all smell expensive, but only the carlisle so far lasted and totally feels worth the asking price. Damn thats a good frag. I own Mercedes private and azzaro the most wanted and both last beast mode, but carlisle is on another planet. It SMELLS expensive as hell, not just strong. And has the stamina.
Finally was able to smell Layton, Layton Exclusif, and Percival...hard pass on all 3 for me. Percival smells identical to Calvin Klein Eternity, sounds crazy, but smell them side by side, you'll be amazed.
Do you still feel the same way? And what would you recommend instead

Kalan is great, but yeah, it's love or hate. I didn't like it at first, but using it a bit more, and I fell in love.
Outstanding video brother! Carlisle, IMO, is undoubtedly PDM's crown jewel. Its distinctiveness is unmatched. Other than Akaster, I own the entire men's PDM house and your critiques are spot on. While I would re-arrange my rankings a bit, numero uno is the one that matters most. Again brother, helluva video.

Kalan is the most sexy fragrance from pdm. I wore so many pdm fragrances but with kalan i got soo many compliments, so many ppl asked me what im wearing, i Love it.

Percival is a big whiff of medicine. 🤢 VERY disappointing for the love it gets.. Layton is great but doesn’t knock your socks off. Greenley is like a ultra high end refined, smooth version of Irish Spring body wash and smells aMAzing and I mean that in the best way possible it isn’t a bad thing, on the contrary.
Carlisle, Herod are just 🤭 so. Good. And one of the exclusif’s smelled like a niche Armani Code but can’t remember which one. Sedley is like PDM’s version of a more luxurious Blue de Chanel and easiest to wear out of these I’ve mentioned. Herod I would wear everyday too. It’s so good. Percival is the only one i didn’t like at all. The rest I haven’t smelled yet. Demi Rawlings men’s buying guides and Aaron Terrence Hughes are the best breakdowns of PDM.
Edit: Was able to sniff Pegasus and Kalan a few days ago..Pegasus also gave me the same cough medicine vibe that Percival did but not as heavy. It still smelled good but I don’t see how women think it’s sexy and love it. People say it changes throughout the day but it didn’t for me. Kalan I am indifferent to; it wasn’t memorable but it smelled z., but I thought it was better than Pegasus and Percival. So far I’d probably go with Carlisle, Herod, and Sedley and Layton. Former for going out and latter for everyday year round wear

Carlisle is an absolute masterpiece. Im sad that these days all I know is the 81% batch Ive never had the pleasure of the older 77% batches that seem to have reached legendary status. But oh well, price isnt bad these days at around 180-200 so I'll just apply liberally 😅

That’s crazy, smells like a cleaning spray solution I use to wipe down the counters. I tried many times to see if my mind changed and just couldn’t enjoy it like the others I’ve tried. Glad it works for you guys though

Another underrated PDM is Kuhuyan which in my opinion is a better leather scent than Gololphin

Parfums de Bob Marley smell like colognes from a price of 100 and under ,but refined.
I think overall PDM is a bit overrated. Only absolutely necessary offerings from them are Carlisle and Layton. Sedley is also awesome. Pervival was way too meh.

I sadly find most of the PDM fragrances to sweet, and i love Tobacco Vanille.
Herod could be amazing, but what ruins it for me is the sweet, sour cherry note.
So how is the sweetness a problem when TV is sweeter than many PDMs. I would categorize PDMs as more powdery rather than sweet, especially in the drydown. Although I do agree with you on Herod, that sweet cherry note along with the ashy tobacco is not a stunner.
Akaster is a real sleeper.
KALAN not #1??? Kalan is unique for guys who like to smell manly and dominant alpha male cologne. That one should of been number #1 the other ones are not as unique, kinda forgettable. KALAN IS #1!!!!!
