I'm learning about sprouting now too. I like that tray a lot. Gonna look around for one now. I think you are supposed to use the sunflower seeds with shells on them(black oil sumflower) for sprouting like the beans. The ones you had are supposed to be ready to eat after the soak I believe.
I think you're right! I've done sunflower seeds in the past and they had the shell on, but the sprouting pack I purchased had them without it for some reason. I still haven't had any success so I guess they just sent the wrong kind.
I usually keep the lid on until they grow too tall for it and I always make sure to empty the water in the bottom tray. You shouldn't need to keep any water down there since you'll be spraying the sprouts with water each day. Hope this helps!
@@oyechulo hello! How come sometimes when I sprout Alfalfa and Rainbow radish sprouts, they don't grow tall? I've had to throw out a couple of trays because they molded and smelled horrible. I noticed the rainbow sprout seeds would open but they wouldn't grow upward. They would grow to the side where it looks like a lil green sprout which never grew beyond that. Thank you!
@@christophergutierrezgarcia5451 The best and only way to sprout seeds is to place a couple of spoons of your preferred seeds into a jar, then fill the jar half full with water, and store it overnight in a dark place. Next morning empty the water from the jar, fill it with water as you did before and give the seeds a rinse, and now empty the water, an keep it in the kitchen window. Rinse the seeds at least twice a day till the seeds have sprouted and filled the jar. Then it's time to be harvested. Each time you use it from the jar rinse it and place the remainder in the fridge for no more than 5 days. Just grow enough to eat for a few days. Harvesting should be about 6 days. Cheers

So cool!
5 days later...what happened to the other line of seeds?
What about the broccoli seeds? 🙏
I'm sprouting alfalfa and rainbow radish sprouts, do I have to keep the lid on everyday? Do I also have to keep water in the bottom tray? Thx
