    I can confirm that this procedure works with the Starlink 2.0 system as I just configured it a few minutes ago successfully. The only change from the video instructions is that the "Create New Static Route" is in a slightly different location. I assume its because Unifi changed the GUI in an update. Now just go to "Settings", then to "Traffic Management", then to "Create New Static Route" and then follow the instructions in the video.
    Thank you very much!!!
    Again, great videos!

      @@LarsKlintTech I finished the customers Ubiquity setup last week... your video worked!!! :) The only thing that didn't work was Distance. It wouldn't accept 10 despite saying "input numbers between 1 and something I forget now"... and I was within 10. So, I just put 1 there as it's all it would take. So, not sure what that will do. But, it worked. His StarLink APP worked.

    • @LarsKlintTech
      @LarsKlintTech  2 года назад +1

      @@PerryCS2 Strange. 10 should be just fine. The number is essentially a priority, so putting "1" will make it the most important route.

    • @PerryCS2
      @PerryCS2 2 года назад +1

      @@LarsKlintTech I agree. The weirdest thing was it kept saying "Enter a number between 1 and (I forget, let's say 255). And I enter 10 and it gave me an error. LOL! Prob a bug in their system because the error said that and I was within that. :)

      @@LarsKlintTech
      Even before I start I have a notification that "Your Traffic Management configuration won't take effect before a Gateway is setup." which I don't understand 🤷.
      When I enter "10" into "Distance"I get a "A valid distance must be between 1 and 255.", so I choose "9" or "11" and it works. Weird 🤷.
      Then when I try to save I get a "There was an error updating settings. This action could not be completed. Please ensure you've entered all information correctly.".
      I am using the docker container console.
      I have a feeling it could be a subnet conflict. unifi is on 10.1.XXX.XX. and dishy/starlink is on 192.1.XXX.XX....
      My connection of the starlink (I am currently trying to remove the starlink router here and get the starlink app working) is dishy>starlink router>synology router and unifi runs on a synology NAS on the Synology network.

    • @LarsKlintTech
      @LarsKlintTech  10 месяцев назад

      @@byrnecore That does sound strange. I am not sure why it is acting up like that, but it could definitely be the Synology part interfering.

    G'day. This will be super helpful to me as I just installed my STARLINK and I already have a Unifi network around my property aka farm. However I have a question. My interface for my Unifi COntroller looks way different than what is in your video. Does this work on a Unifi USG Router. Maybe I need more coffee but so far I cant find "Advanced Features" Duh help please and thanks in advance

    • @LarsKlintTech
      @LarsKlintTech  2 года назад +1

      Hi Allan. It should work I reckon. Which version of the network controller are you running on your USG?

    • @AllanADL
      @AllanADL 2 года назад +1

      @@LarsKlintTech Thanks Lars for the response. It is somewhat frustrating and although I have been in online education for 20 years I am a newbie on networking. Almost certain it is a "seat to keyboard interface problem" aka me 😉. I really need this to work and so I appreciate your help. My Unifi Controller is V 5.8.28 and I know there is an update but when I tried it on my Mac Mini M1 using macOS Monterey V12.1 it froze and I had to restore the app from Time Machine. Everything is working in the controller but I am nervous about trying another update

    • @AllanADL
      @AllanADL 2 года назад +1

      @@LarsKlintTech Mate I think your help and my need to get this to work was the impetuous for me to dig deeper on updating the Controller DUH it was a java problem or rather lack of it. I bit the bullet and installed Java 8 onto my Mac and THEN updated the controller and it worked . What's even better now my controller V6.5.55) interface looks like yours. I am now going to give it a go and report back I'm getting there.

    • @LarsKlintTech
      @LarsKlintTech  2 года назад

      @@AllanADL That version of the controller is 3.5 years old, so there might have been quite a number of features added and improvements made in that time. I am not familiar with running the controller on a Mac, but I totally get your hesitation. In my experience, the bigger the gaps between updates, the more likely something is to go wrong. Not helpful, I know, but perhaps it is time to take the leap?

    • @AllanADL
      @AllanADL 2 года назад +1

      @@LarsKlintTech Wow talk about jumping in the deep end and causing a domino effect. After installing Java 8 and updating the Controller software while holding my breath, I tried to do what you say in the video. Result ... the controller wouldn't let me do it because it said I had unsupported devices. So with more coffee in hand, I realized I had to update the firmware on the router itself then all switches and access points. Oh boy even more coffee and 6 device firmware updates later I tried your procedure again. This time it worked and I have the App back. BTW it still doesn't measure the Speed "Router to Internet" and "iPhone to Router" but I guess that's understandable. Does this work on your version of the App set up this way? Again thank you

    I’m not Shure what happens, but if I put the Starlink router between the “black brick” and my usg, my internet won’t work anymore.
    If I directly connect to the Starlink router everything is fine. Usg is on wan1 and connected to the aux port
