If We're Talking Ancient War Than Look No Further Because There's 1 War That Was NEVER Told And Thats THE DEMON WAR That Was One Of THE Bloodiest Wars In Hyrule's History
It would be really cool if the Ancient Hero was the mentor of Link’s ancestor, and if the Link of that time period was a kid. We haven’t gotten a Young Link in the BOTW series.
My headcanon: During the Imprisoning War, the Sages were gathered. Their names were Ruta, Darunia, Medoh, and Naboris. After the Imprisoning of Ganondorf, Zelda and Mineru begin the preparations to send the Zonai technology into the sky. Zelda warns Mineru of Calamity Ganon, and together they consult the Shiekah tribe, prompting the development of Shiekah Technology. Zelda becomes the Light Dragon. Due to Zelda's words, the Calamity becomes a prophecy. Ages pass, Hyrule enjoys peace for a few hundred years. Then, of unknown origin, the Hero is born, a zonai-like being named Link. The Warrior Tribe, an early version of the Yiga Clan, though they don't have relation to the Sheikah, set about breaking the seal of Ganondorf, and thus the First Calamity is born.

I like the idea of the ancient hero being Ganondorf's nephew (bypassing the 1 male every 100 years due to Zonai being more powerful and getting the stats back more towards the natural 50/50ish odds of male v female) - just fam of both sides where he is literally right in the middle between the two. LIke the son of one of Gandondorf's many sisters would be cool.
HOLY CRAP!!! This idea is amazing, I’ve put a lot of thought into another Hyrule Warriors as well, but not like your idea. Your idea is much more original!!! Love it man!! Keep videos like this coming!!
With my knowledge of Hyrule warriors and it's sequel, I think the best way to incorporate the new zonai powers into the game would have them not so much be counters, but act like the elemental rods of the game. Ultra hand could bunch up a bunch of monsters, or reposition large targets. Ascend could be a AOE tool or a escape option. Fuse could be a temporary damage buff using items or thrown enemy weapons. And the last option could be unique depending on the character. The weak point system of the runes could then be replaced with elemental attacks.
Doing this as a one-off game is 1 thing, but trying to make it a whole new series is falling in the footsteps of Disney taking D list Marvel heroes and Star Wars characters, and trying to make a new franchise out of it.
To me, Botw, AoC and TotK belong together. They ALL will tell a big Story together and i say, that the original Champions aren't dead. They survived in AoC. So hear me out. In TotK there are those Ancient Sages. They also have the same Voice Actors like the Original Champions. An other example; Revali in Botw/AoC is just a Teenager. In TotK he is a Adult as seen with his height, and those second "feather ring" on his wings. Teba has them too and he is an Adult. With Mipha; every other Zora except for Sidon and her, have darker Skin which means, that Mipha and Sidon are younger than the Rest of the Zora. So in TotK, she is a Adult. She reached her height and she got darker skin. So my theory is: First there where the Ancient Sages. Their Names are Revali, Mipha, Urbosa and Daruk, all fully grown up. They fought along side Rauru in the Imprisoning War. They failed. Rauru had to seal Ganondorf away. The Ancient Sages, lived as long as they can and died a natural dead. They where reborn in Botw. Revali and Mipha just reached their Teenager Years, maybe they are both 19, because i think, that Urbosa and Daruk are a little bit older than them. They had to face Ganondorf with their Divine Beasts and failed. They died. Then AoC droped, to tell us the Story about, what happend a 100 years ago. Terrako managed to timetravel. It is said, that AoC is the PREQUEL to Botw. And i don't care what you guys say. To me, AoC is Canon and it will have a big impact on the Main Story. So, the Champions survived in AoC, which means, they for sure will return in, i call it Botw 3 for now. It will be the Sequel to the Mainline Title TotK. So, AoC is there. The Champions, or the so called Ancient Sages, who where reborn in Botw and failed in Botw, survived in AoC, will for sure Timetravel forward with Terrako, to help Link and Zelda in Botw 3. Also i wanted to mention, that we are getting a Hyrule Warriors - Age of the Imprisoning War after TotK for sure. ((They did this with Botw too. First there was Botw, then AoC dropped. Now we have TotK and then, a new HW Game will drop. After the new HW Game, Botw 3 will drop)) In HW - Age of the Imprisoning War, we will get to know the Ancient Sages, aka Revali and the Rest of it and we will fight alongside Rauru and get to know the Zonai People aswell. After HW - Age of the Imprisonig War, Botw 3 will drop onto the new Nintendo Switch to tell a Final Story.
I would like this game. It’d be nice to play as a Link that isn’t a Hylian which we now know is possible thanks to the ancient hero. At the very least not fully Hylian (I think he is a pure blood of what ever species he was). The only issue I could see though is how much could actually be in the game. There was only a single war for the calamity 10,000 years ago and from the looks of things it seems it was over quite quickly. But then also you could be finding four champions and it could also be about the creation of the divine beasts. I would like this game a lot, but there is a small part of me that wants it to keep its mystery. Part of the fun is wondering Yankow. Either way Nintendo did purposefully link the ancient hero’s aspect to the tapestry, so it’s definitely possible we see something of it. Just a small correction: the 10,000 year old Calamity wasn’t the first. In impas story of it she actually mentions a lot of the sheikah tech like the towers was erected with the idea that the calamity would return again. She also says “the history of Calamity Gannon is also the history of the royal family” which heavily implies that calamity gannon has been popping out of the ground since Rauru’s time (which actually supports that Rauru re founded hyrule).
That would be cool. Would love to play as Rauru and Sonia one day. Too attached to these characters to be done with them yet

I think there would have to be a calamity before the “first” one because the sheika had no reason to build the guardians and ect

I think the ancient hero just has red hair and is not Ganondorf Dragmire

I’d prefer a warriors game that covers the imprisoning war rather than the first calamity, but maybe they could find a way to cover them both.
