Color Spotlight : Winsor and Newton Cadmium FREE Red Watercolor & REVIEW

today we are gonna be taking a look at the winsor and newton CADMIUM FREE red watercolor , swatching it out , comparing to other watercolors i have that are similar and speculating on what pigment i think this could be . we are also gonna discuss the characteristics of this paint and if they are liken to genuine cadmium in terms of opacity , granulation and color hue . enjoy !

Would love to see a cadmium free yellow video! :) I love these cad free colours from what I've seen so far, have the cad free scarlet in my main set, just a bit hesitant about it because I don't know what the pigment is.

I just filmed a cad free yellow video:) had to try it myself. Yea I agree I feel a little funny about it since I dont know the pigment for sure. So I think I'll just use it for my own enjoyment but may not sell the work I produce with them atleast not until I do a lightest test of my own.

I like this one .Be careful with some of the cad free yellows from this line. They showed significant fading in tints during lightfast testing despite what the tube says .

Cadiumn is toxic and super expensive. They never interest me anyway. If they indicate the pigment no. of these cadiumn free paints, they have no solid reason to price them so high up to series 4. Winsor Red Pyrrole Red PR254 is their series 1 paint.
