My first car was a Morris Minor Convertible which I bought in 1967 for £60. I wish I had kept it! Mine used to pop out of gear too. I once had a wheel fall off but luckily I was turning a corner at low speed. Another common fault was the fuel pump. On a trip back from Skegness I had to get out every few miles to hit the fuel pump to get it working again. Fantastic car with rack and pinion steering I recall.
My mother learned to drive for the first time in a car with no power steering. I could be dead wrong but I think the car was a Falcon. I hardly remember because I was a kid back then. LOL! Mom use to say it was a workout steering and driving that car. LOL! 😊🚙

I’m laughing all the way through this. I love the tear drop caravan although personally I think I’d want a bit more space. I passed my test in a car with the old drum brakes and no power steering so when I got a car with power steering and servo assist brakes it was like the moment of Neil Armstrong walking on the moon 😂
My parents had a 1957 and a 1959 Morris Minors 1000 when I was growing up in Ky. What I wouldn’t give to have those cars now! They were wonderful, dependable vehicles!

I was kind of looking forward to seeing you cook on the back of the teardrop. Teardrops I've seen in the US have a cookstove and cooler on shelves, hidden inside a cabinet build into the bigger end of the teardrop.

We are taking our modern day teardrop out the the UK this summer. You're welcome to come and check it out. Our model is a bit higher and wider and has a galley kitchen making the cooking much easier. We absolutely love the cosiness of it and the surprising amoiunt of storage we have in it. Somehow even with two teenagers with us (in their own tents) we can't seem to get all the cupboards full.
