Just to reiterate what everyone else has said so far, this tutorial is excellent. Went from starting the game earlier today with absolutely no clue as to what was going on. Watched this video 30 minutes later, and I've just sat down and played continuously for about 6 hours.

I second the notion you should make more advanced tuts or maybe even do a "Let's Play CK2 -- Emperor of the WORLD" edition where its more like a series and you show us how to do just that from scratch, decision by decision. I guess that's not the easiest thing in the world to do in a game like this, though lol

Very nice tutorial! I myself have played for hundeds if not thousands of hours over the years, but looked for tutorial for friends who asked, and this one shines. Nicely done! I'd add to explaining to traits that they do affect how AI plays those charecters, as in lustful charecter is more likely sleep around etc... Or I'm not sure, it's prob more fun to find it out oneself

I had my first successful plot yesterday - I started right there in noobtown but Brian's stats were so much better than his father's (I mean the king was useless), so I married Brian to a fiery intelligent ambitious welsh lass and before you can say "Long live the king" I had a little "hunting" accident. I am now ruling happily as Brian.
this game was added to my steam library for free a few weeks ago, funny thing is I'm more of an Action/Adventure player and wouldn't really consider buying such a game but since I got it anyway and now I've found your tutorial I think I might like it! so thanks and keep up the good videos 😊

This tutorial is really good, I've put in quiet a few hours into the game and always felt like I was doing something wrong as if I should be doing more within all the years gone past, but it's just normal for the game to progress that way.

When playing myself the who council thing confused me because I could only click on one of their duties at a time and I couldn't tell if they were doing anything. Because they weren't. I didn't realize you had to click the map afterwards, which makes a lot of sense. I have yet to play a game that makes me feel as intellectually inadequate as this one lol.
I hate to ruin it, but by default, it's not actually text-to-speech; I manually entered in the subtitles. On desktop, you can switch to the auto-generated subtitles by clicking the settings button, then "Subtitles / CC," then "English (auto-generated)." It's entertaining to see how it reacts to all of the proper nouns.
