Finally, a video cutting straight to the point. Nobody needs to know how to do the driver side (it has easy enough access) on these. Most importantly, someone who installed the bulb correctly, using a bag, glove or even paper towel to prevent transfer of body oils onto the bulb. Thanks for this video!!
Great video. Easy to follow and to the point. Not useless time wasting chatter. Good job! I was able to follow along and change my bulb which saved me time and money and I enjoyed being able to do it. I appreciate this video. Thank you!
Great video. On my truck there is a white clip on the grey electrical connecter that you have to remove and then you press on the grey tab to remove the connecter. Thanks.
Good Video. But I've found you can save time by skipping the air cleaner disassembly and just pull the whole thing out as a unit. Unless you need to change the air cleaner at the same time.
I just disconnected the breather with the large screw clamp and pulled the breather up out of the way to get to bulb. Ezee peezee. Only tool used was a slot screw driver.
Your video hit it right on ! No other video that I saw explained the reason to wear something over your hand when handling the sensitive bulbs . What is the name of the tool needed to take off air filter cover.
Thanks, I'm glad it helped. I used a size T25 torx bit. You can buy a torx screwdriver set, or a torx socket set that come with a variety of the most common sizes.
This is the third video I watched, and they all required taking a lot of unrelated things apart. This is the worst lightbulb change of my life, so far.
It is kind of in the way but you should be able to squeeze your hand back there. I just got done doing that side and had to look up this video to do the other lol
I don’t want to bad mouth modern engineering...but, its more of the same shit I have been seeing for some time now..... people that don’t play the game, are making the rules.
@@MasterJacks Thanks for replying! Still a great video, so thanks. I read somewhere that 9005 is low and 9006 is high. The connectors between H11 and 9005 are pretty different, so idk.
There is no electrical benefit on the circuit for replacing two bulbs simultaneously. I personally wouldn't replace all 4 bulbs in my ceiling fan if just one had failed. The recommendation is strictly a time/convenience savings due to having already gained access to the area. If I was paying someone labor, I would consider it. Low beams typically far outlast high beams due to average run time. On the other hand, it might be a good idea to replace both low beams at the same time because if one goes out, there's a good chance the other isn't far behind. However, this is twice as much work as they are on opposite sides of the vehicle. Just my opinion. Definitely do what you think is best for you and your vehicle. Thanks, MasterJacks
I replaced one headlamp and one tail light(at different times) on my '96 Chevy k1500 many years ago. The other head lamp lasted at least 2 years longer and the other original taillight is still going. They really are not difficult to change, and some of the bulbs these days can be purchased singularly.
GREAT VIDEO, but holy crap American engineering is shit. Just to get to a bulb. And it's not just cars/trucks. We really need to step up our game when it comes to designing these.
Sorry, I don't have a video for that one. It will be similar to doing the passenger side, however, instead of removing the air box, you would need to remove the battery. I didn't find a great video on it, but hopefully this one will help. All the best! ruclips.net/video/rocc60-aNKA/видео.html
And this is how you make a how to video. No terrible music. No talking. No steps skipped. Awesome job.
This should be the gold standard for instructional RUclips videos. Thank you.

Perfect video. No useless music, no nonsense talking. Straight to the point, fully detailed, step by step with excellent camera angles. Bravo!

Excellent video love the fact no excessive talking this was straight to the point
Great video!!! I like that there is no useless talking. Straight to the point.
Philip T then shut the fuck up .
I’ve never learned so much without hearing a single word. Great job man
Clear, concise video with great editing and light. Best How-To I've seen in awhile
You’re the man, no talking just doing.
Thank god for people posting stuff like this on RUclips
Straight to the point. Best "How To" video
Great video. Straight to it, no chatter, perfect, thanks!
Clear, well made vid., short and sweet. Yes, I am now subscribed. Much thanks. niio
Super Video brother, thanks so much, your steps and attention to detail were brilliant, so grateful 🙏🙏
and this is what Firestone charged me $75 for !!! thanx for the vid !
I mean some nice bulbs will cost you $60... but they didn't give you those either. :P
I was hoping for an easier way.
Thanks for the vid.
This worked perfect and got straight to the point, thank you!
I luckily enough have smaller hands and I got to skip the filter removal step. Thanks for the video sir!
Thanks. Simplest instructions on this I've found.
Well done! Thanks for taking the time and helping others.
Looks easier than the driver's side! No washer reservoir in the way.
1A AUTO GUY TOOK THE WHOLE FRONT OF THE TRUCK APART, WHAT A JOKE, THIS GUY DID IT RIGHT
Good video. Very informative without all the talk.
Thanks! Walked me right through the steps.
This is the best, "No Bullsht" video. Thanks.
Thanks for not talking. Usually it’s just annoying.
Love the way this was made
Great video brother. Simple and short 👍👍

Great tutorial, this was spot on. Thanks.
Great Video, Thanks Steve
Great vid....straight to the point
Great video!! No unnecessary bs!👍👍
Thanks for posting. Much better without the usual "Hey Guys! Today I'm...blah blah" crap.
much better than removing the whole damn assembly! thanx for posting
Man that saved me a ton. Thanks!
Great vid,I didn't see anyone else yank out that bottom box,I was worried there was a screw I missed
Very helpful I just installed my leds👍
This video helped do much. Thank you
Awesome video, thanks it was a great help.
Great video!! Thank you very kindly
Thanks for the no bs video👍
Good Video. But I've found you can save time by skipping the air cleaner disassembly and just pull the whole thing out as a unit. Unless you need to change the air cleaner at the same time.
Thanks for sharing, it's a good trick!
Very Helpful...Thanks,
Great vid and info
Too easy, thanks buddy.
Great video thank you 🙏🏼
Very Helpful
Well that's pretty good if you only have to change out the right side different story for the left
Thanks brother

Nice video
Done like a pro! Good thing you emphasized what oils from your hand can do to the bulbs. How are your headlights so far?
Thanks for the comment. I have to assume they're holding up good :-) I'm on to another pickup now. I really enjoyed that one though!
Didn't need to remove the top of the air box. Could have just disconnected the tube and lifted it out.
Great point, thanks for sharing!

now how do you change the drivers side head light now you got your hands full on this one
Changed mine, drivers side. Remove three bolts, 10 millimeter. Now u my not have to even do that, small hand can do easy.
Thanks
Good stuff
Thanks!
thanks
Awesome video! Any tips on the driver's side headlight?
H E L P!!!!! CAMERA WORK IS MAKING ME SEA SICK
This is the third video I watched, and they all required taking a lot of unrelated things apart. This is the worst lightbulb change of my life, so far.
K I s s - great video.
Do the other side with the damn washer res in the way.
So much easier on my 05 with the pins.
It is kind of in the way but you should be able to squeeze your hand back there. I just got done doing that side and had to look up this video to do the other lol
Why did Chevy take a few steps back? Back on a2000 model u didn't need tools, were done in 2 minutes. What's da deal???
I agree, they used to be so easy just pulling the pins.
This may be a dumb question but are the high and low beams the same bulbs or are there two separate bulbs?
On this vehicle they are two separate bulbs
Well at least he didn't say buy a new truck.
Did I miss something. He only changed out one bulb right
When you jerk the air filter box out like that, does it break those clips? Or does it just snap back in?
The box is held in by reusable rubber grommets in the base plate.
My light is out on this pain in the ass side again. I home I have enough time to do all this before I get pulled over.
What about the drivers side?
Why does everyone on here open the air cleaner??? The hose clamp is the only thing you have to undo to remove it. It just snaps into place.
Curious about driver side
I don’t want to bad mouth modern engineering...but, its more of the same shit I have been seeing for some time now..... people that don’t play the game, are making the rules.
How about the driver's side. That's not so straightforward.
The video says H11. My 2011 Silverado apparently takes 9005.
Thanks for commenting, I should have made a note in the video. The H11 is the high beam bulb and the 9005 is the low beam.
@@MasterJacks Thanks for replying! Still a great video, so thanks. I read somewhere that 9005 is low and 9006 is high. The connectors between H11 and 9005 are pretty different, so idk.
Figured it out. Turns out that H11 is low, while 9005 is high. Had to find that out the hard way as I replaced the wrong bulb (not a mechanic!)
@@whutthufug glad you figured it out! Thanks for sharing, sorry I got it backwards
Why would you only change one...even the manual says change both

awesome video cut threw the bullshit
This should be Done by a qualified service technician.... HAHAHAHAHA....yeah, at $80 an hour...😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳
This is bs just change it. You don’t need to take out ONE screw!
GREAT VIDEO, but holy crap American engineering is shit. Just to get to a bulb. And it's not just cars/trucks. We really need to step up our game when it comes to designing these.
Just to change a damn headlight!!!??? I hate GM
Great video!!!! To the point nice and smooth!!
By the way, Yellow is positive and black is negative.
What about the driver's side?
