As Chilean from NYC it is very nice to see you show one of the wonders of my country...the second restaurant on the north side reminded me of when I was in Dubai.
I went to San Alfonso del Mar when it was a resort, back in 2009. My father took our family there and we stayed for a week but we never went to the restaurants nearby because we knew those were super expensive. We cooked at the apartment everyday, we ate asado (chilean barbacue) and bought food and drinks from the supermarket. It was way better at least for my point of view. But yeah, the views and the landscapes in Chile are surreal.

there is a beach in Algarrobo, really near from there in san alfonso, this beach calls Playa Del Canelo has an amazing forest in front the beach a amazing landscape, i fully recomend it is like 10 min in a car from there
im loving your experience here in chile! it definitely makes me appreciate my country from your tourist perspective. chile is so diverse i really wish you could get a little bit of everything from different parts of this country! and i really hope everything goes smoothly and nice for you while you’re staying, even if we have some bad things, but overall i hope that you enjoy staying in chile, greetings from antofagasta! Ace you have to go to the La Tirana festivities between July 10th and 20th!! It's amazing full of indigenous festivities from people of the north of Chile + Bolivia + Peru, and you will love the beaches in the nearby city (Iquique).
Corona beer is so bad 👎, just pure marketing 😅 If you have the opportunity, ask for an “Austral Beer Torres del Paine”, is veeery good and not expensive 👍

That's a beautiful place but it's one of those that needs to be where there is all year round warm weather. Because those two to three months of no customers can shut you down easily
ACE that's a huge amount of development complex sorry it did not work like the planers wanted it to but the idea to rent lease or buy was a good decision because years ago I saw some buildings in China that know one never brought and I think there are still empty. Leon, in the places you have visited in South America, does Chile look the most similar to the US? Some of the videos you’ve shown featuring highways and buildings look very similar to what US cities look like.
There are some US influence in general around here. We are a very capitalist country so we have some lifestyle similarities (malls, parkings, highways, bunch of Starbucks, etc). Also, the most modern and $$$ locations on Santiago (like where Ace went to the Costanera Sky View) is kinda known for its Manhattan looks. Sanhattan it's a funny name for that, but it's only an small part of the City. We have big inequality issues, so the rest of the city and neighbourhoods are not that "aesthetic"... Cheers!

Yes, if it’s cold…it shouldn’t matter…ie, the management should market to the residents and tourists with different year-round activities…they should look at what other financially successful resorts within the European countries do year round. It was sad to see the lack of availability and the lack of people. 😮 If there were a lot of different people, families and kids circulating the areas it would look fun. The views are fantastic!😊 The food looked delicious.😊🎉 That’s management’s step one …🌞

Best beer in Chile if you can find it, "Imperial Lager" move out the way Heneiken, then Kunstman Beers are Amazing, and you can not forget Patagonia Lager. Crystal and Royal are ok, Valtica beer is the cheapest basical the equivalent of Milwakees best, Escudo everyone pretty much drinks, taste like Tecate.
