    This is a really good way. My mum passed in 2004 and i have a gold sovereign bracelet and gold and ruby rings that i havnt worn as i wear white gold but want to sell so I will try with my gold Jewellery that's been in the box for the last 9 years. Can you actually put rings with stones in the bicarbonate soda mix. Also maybe suggest putting plug in sink before rinsing as not to go down the plug hole..

    What an absolute waste of time.... if you're going to use a toothbrush to clean it then just use some hand soap or normal washing up liquid and give it a nice scrub with the toothbrush I clean gold on a daily basis and I just use normal hand soap with a toothbrush... it comes up absolutely perfect.. do not bother boiling water and adding baking soda...that is absolutely ridiculous

    • @jthreeb
      @jthreeb  6 месяцев назад +2

      Thats ok if you think that. But the gold I find has been underground for 100's of years, this helps. That ring is from 1805, it's seen some things. It needs that little extra.

      Vinegar and baking soda neutralize each other, using them together is pointless and adds no benefit. Just use hot water.
