Love it!
He's basically the Silicon Valley Bank.
This routine made me happy and sad at the same time, really well done!
Beautiful comment :)
You had my complete attention. Very well done.
Fantastic. More speechless acts, your expression tells it all, just wonderful.
Bravo, Alfonso! I really enjoyed that. Much success to you in life!
Very good. Enjoyed it all throughout.
You are amazing congrats on being on PNT Fool US!
I had to keep watching. Memorized the whole time. Fantastic
First you gain some money, then you loose it all -- welcome to Las Vegas!
That was really beautiful, and I have no idea how you did it 😍
You didn't fool them but you fooled me. Even if it was slight of hand, that is such incredible slight of hand that I couldn't see anywhere the coin would've come from. Well done, incredible job!
You did the best version of this trick and had me completely invested. Stunning performance and beautiful story telling. Well done!
Thank you, Alfonso. So poetic! 😊
Fantastic act!
beautiful performance
Hey Alfonso, I'm not sure if that's the bucket i sold you, but it was a great magic show nonetheless. Glad to see you made it to the greats. I love penn and teller. Good job!
Very good routine. Loved your take on it!
Thanks so much!
Absolutely loves this! I felt mesmerized the entire time.
Wow thank you. I am happy about how this is being perceived by the audience!
@AlfonsoRituerto Wow thanks for writing back! I just subbed to your channel! I wish you much fortune in your magic career! Hope to see you continue with this wonderful theatrical theme.
Bravo!
Beautiful
Wonderfull routine. I love the idea and Story.
Amazing great performance
thank you 💞
Loved it 🔥
Am I wrong in that the performance was so moving and wonderful it actually made me cry? Brilliant. Just brilliant. I didn't think a magic trick would induce tears. Bravo Sir. You are a master performer.
I really don’t know what to say. I am overwhelmed with the many incredible comments I am getting for this. It definitely was worth trying it. Thank you so much!
The best contestant performance in penn n teller show
Fantastic as always my friend!
Thanks!!
Love it
Great acting skills and your sleight of hand is so natural. I loved it.
Bravo 🙌
Loved the presentation🤍💙
It had emotions and absorbed us into the story.
one of the more moving performances that I have seen! well done!
Some acts are never intended to fool but just to present!!
Frankly, I was not all that impressed. It was sleight of hand, really good slight of hand and the guy certainly has skills, but it seemed to me he was just doing one move over and over.
Exactly when he put one back he also take one
That's how the trick originated in the 50s
Single coin palming and recorded "clanging" isnt gonna fool P&T.
I guess I'm a sucker for magic acts with generating and/or losing money.
Great show. Very entertaining.
Although I believe I know how you did your magic, you made up for it with your non-magic and created an act that was memorable that I will never forget (and I have forgotten about most magic acts I've watched and enjoyed, so that is significant for me).
Elegant execution
Very Vegas like hahah 👏🏻
I followed everything but the very end was well done
The editing definitely helps with this one.
Well done.
Charming story!
That was magical, I felt like I was watching a theater performance, and the music was on point. Hooray Alfonso!
I'm still in the early stages of watching this, but I'm not seeing how this guy is gonna fool Penn and Teller with the Miser's Dream.
@2:28 upsss
I fist saw Jeff McBride do this trick I think in person when I was a young kid but he has a RUclips rendition is just great! I liked your rendition
Looked like an AGT audition.
Awesome Performance..Its one of them tricks that there's no point in explaining as we all know the skill in his sleight of hand and sleight of sound. We understand the concept but the skill level is so high that even we know, we could never as a layman be able to do. It was that good.👏👏👏
Creo que vi cómo hiciste el truco o parte de él (no lo sé), pero tu habilidad y tu actuación es suprema. Un abrazo y sigue así. Por gente como tú entiendo que no todo en la "magia" es lo que no se puede explicar.
Still wondering about that huge roll of coins he was hiding down his right leg.
i have to be honest here, this was very obvious that there was only 1 coin, you never put it into the bucket. just sleight of hand.
you masked it rather well tho, but still obvious. i expect some coins to appear in the teddy or something or that you throw teddy into the bucket and it turns into coins, that would have been cool finish!
It's all about the narrative
i swear ive seen u in the judo ring in the mr bean
I'm no magician, just an avid Fool Us watcher. You seem like a great guy and the performance is moving, but I don't like tricks that are technically too simple. It's really just using 1 coin the whole time I think, and all coin jingles were mixed into the background track.
I'm still waiting on the trick or magic to happen.
I would like to see a funny presentation.
I don't get it. I was expecting something more or dramatic at the end. There was only one trick throughout the act.
you mean palming the coin? Yeah, it was a no-stage routine, something you'd do on the street without any tools or preparation. But PT suggested he had one tool, for the coin noises
@@istvan9051 Don't forget the sound effects..
I don’t get the storyline with the bear.. huh?
@@BrokeTheSeal The bear was representing the beggar's child. Maybe it really was a child, maybe not, it was all a dream.
joao miranda new trick being used here
?
Ron MacMillan
As if he really thought this would fool them.
Ohhh, I could do that with a chip packet…
Gotta get better sound effects. They're too over the top and don't really match your movements.
Very good technique with the coin manipulation, though I definitely caught a couple of moves. I was waiting for that year to do something and was disappointed when it didn't. It's a bit like Chekov's gun, if you're going to show something in the beginning your act, you really should make some use of it before your act finishes.
For that year? What does that mean?
Bear
You should have been on AGT not on FU coz no emotion works here.
I was going to say in the comments how it was done, and why it couldn’t have been done 100 years ago… but no one is mentioning how it was done, so I assume it’s a magic thing, keep it a secret, so I won’t mention anything. (I assume everyone knows in the comments, quite obvious, but out of respect for magic 🤐
It's weird they let such a basic trick to be on their show
Not weird at all. It's gorgeously executed. It could have been a silent scene in a play, the acting was so well done. I've seen much more complicated tricks on their show, performed with so little stage craft, that I had the same reaction you had to this one though.
One is the loneliest number that you'll ever do
Two can be as bad as one
It's the loneliest number since the number one
Bring back the audience, Penn&Teller, COVID is gone.
Spotted the ignoramus.
Yeah the exclamation sounds are really stupid
Agreed. They should stop the charade.
Why is there no studio audience?
Is Las Vegas still afraid of something?
Penn had it thrice, Teller twice, they're alone. I don't know why they're afraid. lal
Teller recently had triple bypass surgery, so they're clearly being careful while still being able to make the show.
@@NatrixHasYou then why don't wear "masks", that thing that worked so well...
@@bapt_andthebasses You know what else worked well? Not being around crowds like, say, a studio audience.
@@NatrixHasYou lol
same move over and over and the teddy bear did not have any purpose
It's part of the story and not the trick.
the bear made the noise
It's not even part of the story.
It's litterraly There for nothing
Penn referred to new technology added to an old trick. The teddy made the coin sounds.
@@maximem.ste-marie3578 nothing is ever on stage with a magician for nothing.
Yawn!
As an outsider, I was a bit annoyed with the moves. I don't know how tricks are done, but I can watch movements. 1) All the touching of the body 2) The weird handle of the bucket (like placing the coin)
What I am saying, you don't make the impression of being "innocent".
That routine is not original. It was televised in the 60s or 70s
Well then you really dont know a lot about the routine🫣
The canned audience is so cringe!
his act was weird and boring. He spent the entire act palming a single coin acting like he threw it in, rinse repeat for 5 minutes. Like how many times did he do the same trick over and over again? His sleight of hand wasnt that good anyways.
I agree. Holy fucking boredom
You must look at the story, at the message of the act, at the emotion, the phatos etc
it’s european.
Very entertaining but not technically impressive
This was bizarre. And boring.
Bizarre is usually interesting by definition
@@vincentjohnflorio I mean I kinda agree with his original comment even though I liked your both comments. It's Bizarre and repetitive, a one gimmick with an added " little modern invention" at the end. And from that angle it was quite boring (though I got to give it to him quite nice handling of the coin). It is a great act of entertainment for kids or teens , he would be a great addition to say, someones 18th birthday... But not something that would be interesting to watch for adults after a long hard day of work. Again, the routine itself takes time and work, and I respect him for that, but the act itself is definitely boring for an average grown adult.
When was this filmed? Recently?
Is Vegas still afraid of Flu-vid 1984?
@@josephsisson Haha good term. Mind if i use that term too??
@@josephsisson It seems like Penn and Teller need to send a Fool Us trophy to (brought to you by) Lie-zer!
to much soy. is time to grow up my friend
