I had the GREAT fortune to be in Berkeley 1969-1972 and lived at the Fillmore West. One day, Bill Graham came on the radio and said, "We had a cancellation today, so for one night only Janis Joplin will reunite with Big Brother and The Holding Company." We hauled butt over the Bay Bridge, got in line and IT WAS ONE THE MOST SACRED MUSICAL MOMENTS OF MY LIFE. You go, girl!! R.I.P.
I discovered Janis while going through my Mothers albums in our den. That was back in 72'.... I was 13. I took a bus to downtown on Broadway in San Diego. I bought every record I could find, and every book. I've been listening to her just about every week since then. Beautiful woman inside, and out as far as im concerned. I still have all my records and book. "No one waved goodbye".
Janis is my best friend's favorite artist, and this is her favorite song. She is in hospice right now, only expected to live a few days. This is for you, Ada. I love you.
She felt this when she sang this. The emotion and words to this song were the only thing that existed when she sang it. The greatest singers in the world are like this. The real talent is being able to put your full life force into the emotion you are singing.
When I was 15, I fell in love with Janis. She breaks my heart, rips open my soul and makes me bleed the blues. RIP, Janis Joplin..... I will always feel you thru your music.
I don’t believe that there is just one “queen” of soul… there have been many & Janis Joplin is certainly one of them (at least to me she is). Wherever Janis Joplin is in the afterlife, is where I want to be. I know there’ll be *great music* to provide me solace until I meet with the rest of my loved ones again. R🌹I🌹P Queen.👑
I only speak English but I totally agree, hearing her voice is a singular, unique experience that strengthens and nourishes the soul, and she expresses her anguish like no one else ever could! Gracias!
I sure wish she was still alive! There never was nor ever will be anyone like her! She had the most amazing voice I've ever heard. There's an ad on TV now that's got a bit of one of her songs and it just brings back such memories!
Janis Joplin had something that few singers have today...she had talent and was singing from her heart. R. I. P. Great Janis you'll always have fans around the world because you're music is unique!!!😍😍😍
Lyrics: Cry baby Cry baby Cry baby Honey, welcome back home I know she told you Hon', I know she told you that she loved you Much more than I did But I know that she left you And you swear that you just don't know why But you know, hon', I'll always I'll always be around If you ever want me Come on and cry, cry baby Cry baby, cry Cry baby Oh honey, welcome back home Don't you know Honey, ain't nobody ever gonna love you The way I try to do Who'll take all your pain And your heartache too? And if you need me you know that I'll always be around If you ever want me Come on and cry, cry baby Cry baby Cry baby Oh, daddy, like you always sayin' to do And when you walk around the world, babe You said you'd try to look for the end of the road You might find out later that the road'll end in Detroit Hon', the road'll even end in Kathmandu You can go all around the world Tryin' to find something to do with your life, baby When you only gotta do one thing well You only gotta do one thing well to make it in this world, babe You got a woman waitin' for you there All you ever gotta do is be a good man one time to one woman And that'll be the end of the road, babe I know you got more tears to share, babe So come on, come on Come on, come on, come on And cry, cry baby Cry baby Cry... And if you ever feel a little lonely, dear I want you to come on, come on to mama now And if you ever want a little love of a woman Come on and baby, baby, baby, babe, babe, baby now Cry baby, yeah
If Janis could speak right now, it would be to smile among her tears and to thank all The people that Still remember and respect her and her memory. So, lets make an effort ...all together, jo matter where you're in The world to keep this queen alive always and forever. May all of this Love and affection get back to all of you! Peace! Our Flower sings under The sun.
Far and away, my most favorite Joplin song. I even liked Me & Bobby McGee. But, there is just something about the pure raw intensity and emotion of this song that Janis Joplin put into it that makes me love this even more. Janis Joplin's singing ability will NEVER be matched by anyone, ever. That's why she was so unique. I feel it in every single note of this song. I will always and forever be a Janis Joplin fan if nothing else, for this song alone.

This song is featured on a television advert at present . Wish it wasn't Janis is too good for that.
I remember the song from "Look Who's Talking", when baby Mikey realises that if he cries that "Mommy person" will come running. Only problem is, she's not too thrilled, and is so sleep deprived she puts coffee in his bottle.
I just listened to it because of that commercial
I have chills every time I hear Her. She was AMAZING!! RIP Janis
Maravillosa, intensa, voz eterna.
I heard this song the first time ever watching Look Who’s talking…I had no idea it was Janice Joplin until now. Wow…
Singing from the soul. God I miss her
Janis is my best friend's favorite artist, and this is her favorite song. She is in hospice right now, only expected to live a few days. This is for you, Ada. I love you.
Your friend has excellent taste.
I am so sorry to hear about your best friend. Sending you & your friend hugs, love and prayers ❤️🙏❤️
@@bonniecyr5475 Thank you. She went to be with her Lord two days ago. Music helps me cope so I came back to listen.
Essa mulher tinha uma voz única no universo e sabia cantar com emoção... impressionante!
Eu concordo plenamente!
She sang with so much raw emotion and soul she hurt herself a couple of times performing, put everything her Texas heart had into her music, love her.
her voice is hypnotic, so much soul and passion 💕 the pure raw emotion in this song gets me every time
She felt this when she sang this. The emotion and words to this song were the only thing that existed when she sang it. The greatest singers in the world are like this. The real talent is being able to put your full life force into the emotion you are singing.
No one , no one can sing this song with a feeling like that.
My respects and blessings for you , my dear Janis.
Just finished listening this song for the first time, in promoting product, and my friends, what a sound, what a voice, wonderful, cheers!
That voice, man...so powerful, so full of conviction and soul. Nothing else like it
I have always loved listening to her music I am ,,,72yrs.old and I just listened to her sing cry baby love that song.
When I was 15, I fell in love with Janis. She breaks my heart, rips open my soul and makes me bleed the blues.
RIP, Janis Joplin.....
I will always feel you thru your music.
Her body died but her voice will always rise. What a singer my godbess
You feel the emotions in all of her songs. She's truly a one of a kind artist who just can't be matched in the form of music.
To prawda to jest perła w koronie
Escuchar a Janis es una experiencia unica... te transmite su angustia y te hace llorar con ella mientras canta
Tú lo has dicho.
Claro que si!
Janice screaming. My idea of a good time.
Rock on.
Janis Joplin had something that few singers have today...she had talent and was singing from her heart. R. I. P. Great Janis you'll always have fans around the world because you're music is unique!!!😍😍😍
Lyrics:
Cry baby
Cry baby
Cry baby
Honey, welcome back home
I know she told you
Hon', I know she told you that she loved you
Much more than I did
But I know that she left you
And you swear that you just don't know why
But you know, hon', I'll always
I'll always be around
If you ever want me
Come on and cry, cry baby
Cry baby, cry
Cry baby
Oh honey, welcome back home
Don't you know
Honey, ain't nobody ever gonna love you
The way I try to do
Who'll take all your pain
And your heartache too?
And if you need me you know that I'll always be around
If you ever want me
Come on and cry, cry baby
Cry baby
Cry baby
Oh, daddy, like you always sayin' to do
And when you walk around the world, babe
You said you'd try to look for the end of the road
You might find out later that the road'll end in Detroit
Hon', the road'll even end in Kathmandu
You can go all around the world
Tryin' to find something to do with your life, baby
When you only gotta do one thing well
You only gotta do one thing well to make it in this world, babe
You got a woman waitin' for you there
All you ever gotta do is be a good man one time to one woman
And that'll be the end of the road, babe
I know you got more tears to share, babe
So come on, come on
Come on, come on, come on
And cry, cry baby
Cry baby
Cry...
And if you ever feel a little lonely, dear
I want you to come on, come on to mama now
And if you ever want a little love of a woman
Come on and baby, baby, baby, babe, babe, baby now
Cry baby, yeah
Pewnie ja uwielbiasz jak ja

You got it wrong. The first lyric is “Crahhhhhh-ahhhhhhhhhhh-AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH-YEEE……. BAY-BAYYYYYYYYY!!!!!”
I am from Kathmandu, Nepal.
It's so sweet to know that Janis mentioned my city in this lovely song.
This song is........❤
If Janis could speak right now, it would be to smile among her tears and to thank all The people that Still remember and respect her and her memory. So, lets make an effort ...all together, jo matter where you're in The world to keep this queen alive always and forever. May all of this Love and affection get back to all of you! Peace! Our Flower sings under The sun.

Raw and beautiful from the heart and soul of a beautiful powerful woman
Far and away, my most favorite Joplin song. I even liked Me & Bobby McGee. But, there is just something about the pure raw intensity and emotion of this song that Janis Joplin put into it that makes me love this even more. Janis Joplin's singing ability will NEVER be matched by anyone, ever. That's why she was so unique. I feel it in every single note of this song. I will always and forever be a Janis Joplin fan if nothing else, for this song alone.
WHEW... FEEL IT IN MY SOUL.... JANIS❤️👌🏽💯💯💯💯‼️
Janice Joplin,a great singer,my brother Barry liked,he passed away July 2019was 63May Janice Joplin,RIP.
Amazing song with good memories still listening to her album... How are you Lisa?
First Janis album I ever brought. Amazing! In my 70s and still listening and appreciating it. Sadly, a life lived too short, she had so much more to give. RIP Pearl!
When my 1st husband and I were high school sweethearts I bought this Janis Joplin 8 track tape for him, because he loved her music . Ahh... memories. Such sweet and sad memories, we only made it 10 years, we were only 17 and 19 years old when we married ~much too young for such a journey.
My adopted mother used to sing this to me when I was little.
Every ounce of pain felt in every single note...the true definition of a blues singer!!!
There was , is and will always be One Janis Chaplin thru our times . What a talent, beautiful irreplacable voice.. I just love her.
