Great video, Casey...dude I appreciate the shout-out. I learn a lot from you as well. That hvac lineset up against the roof sheathing was one I didn't know about. I think your videos are for other inspectors to learn from.... keep up the good work.

I'm not an inspector but I am a homebuilder, so it's nice to watch your videos to freshen up on some requirements. Keep up the good work!

Make more of all types of inspection videos they are great to watch, if you do another 100-200 videos you’d probably be making more on RUclips then your normal career.

Ha! I said that truss was cantilevered, obviously it isn't if it is bearing on that little 2x4 ledger at the end. That wall is where it is just bearing at the midpoint as well. I challenge YOU to talk off the top of your head for ten minutes and say everything 100% right!

Hey Casey, I love this channel!! I've never done construction, but always been intrigued by it and watching your videos is so fascinating. One thing, I've watched just about all of your videos now, could you release a video highlighting a very good/perfect build to show us there is hope in the world and everything isn't straight garbage lol!! I'd like to get an idea of what things should look like. Thanks and keep up the good content!!

This guy looks like the son of Larry Haun. Definitely lends legitimacy to these videos. 😊

Great video as usual. What I learned today? Some crazy, sort of southern..ish accent😂😂.

Southern-ish? I'm originally from Southeast Texas and trust me, mine's nothing compared to the other locals!

My daughter is preparing to purchase her first home. I have never put much stock in home inspectors (If I remember right, they were hired by the mortgage company.). can you recommend who I should hire to inspect her likely purchase that would represent for her. Her home will not be new. 😊

Mommy and daddy will not like that sound coming from their bedroom floor, under their bed above some other inhabited portion of the house. Although if they are not a mommy and daddy yet, maybe it will not matter as they are just trying to become mommies and daddies. 😂

It’s NOT (The refrigerant lines-set) slammed up against the roof sheeting - it IS slammed up against the baffling.

I built my house, but did notice the same thing you commented on.

Why on earth would you ever be permitted to run a water line through an unconditioned space? It will freeze at some point…

Who do you represent when doing your inspections? And are you following the same non-English contractors from project to project?

Forget the classes. Get hired as a builder and spend 10 years building homes and fixing your mistakes.
Then start inspecting for a living. Best training you can get.

    Framing 16” O.C. or 24” O.C.
All sheeting products 8’ - every manufacturer out there be making their product 8’
I find it humorous all these folk on RUclips never built anything thinking a carpenter installing sheeting is going to cut an 1/8” of every sheet.
Or I guess a fellow could get away with installing 2 full sheets without cutting … after that you’ll be nearly not landing on the next joist, certainly not enough to properly fasten it
Think about what you’re saying… have you ever been out on a framing project?
Ya oughta go sit in your car and watch em some day, and think how much longer it would take to build places when ya have to cut every piece…😂
It doesn’t make sense … AT ALL
