Cry me a river sir! I'm a Jets fan- I've watched the Giants play in 5 Super Bowls and win 4. And you just made the playoffs in 2022! The last time the Jets were in the Super Bowl was 10 days after I was born and the last time we made the playoffs was 2010! I'm done too! So done I'm flying to Santa Clara for the opening game against the 49ers.

To our credit, Gettleman the old GM wanted Herbet the year we took Jones but Herbert went back in. The next year he drafted Andrew Thomas who is one of the best left tackles in football
Giants have done everything to ruin D Jones no Oline or weapons yes we had Barkley. Hope he lights it up he did take us to playoffs 2 seasons ago and won playoff game based on his play with not much talent. So much negativity around this guy, if it doesn’t work this season go find that franchise QB
The Giants have a very tough schedule. Pretty much all their opponents this year were in the playoffs last year except WAS, NO and ATL

If Jones WAS "fired up about it," they would say that a real "champion" or "alpha" or whatever would never say it. And I am not defending that contract or saying "just give him another five years to get used to the NFL" or anything like that. I just think this is a non-story. Most press conferences are full of empty talk either way.
If its the giants, its a story, especially if they can talk negatively. We will never see positivity for the giants unless we literally go all the way and even THEN. Still disrespected. Thats why i will never care what these talking heads say.

Why does Jones future have any effect on the coaching staff at all? Dabol did better without Jones last year, and I suspect that Ownership was the reason why Jones was drafted and resigned 4 years later.
Jones should not even waist a spot on the 53, by all accounts he should have lost his job last year before he was injured.
Ownership should back the coaching staff now, keep DJ off the active roster, but on the books, and retain the best 3 QBs they have or can afford.
2022 for Jones was supposed to be a new baseline. "Limited mistakes this year and real progress next year".
There was no progress there was congress...er I mean regression. The Giants cannot waste another year trying to fix DJ. This is especially true when you have QBs on the roster who exceeded expectations (they grew) and deserve to develop, and help the team develop and grow. Ownership needs to show the NYG fans that the organization is responsible enough to NOT fall in love with their mistakes and...well admit them.
In short, 2022 was NOT a good year for DJ, it showed promise. 2023 showed that its time to move on.
2024 is the year of what? The year of romanticizing 2022 instead of looking forward?

I am very encouraged by the direction this team is taking. You don't build a skyscraper and stop building before you build the top floor. The Giants are cooked if you try to reboot again. Ride out the storm and be better for it.

Agreed. The biggest concern with Giants is whether or not this new O-line can provide >2 seconds for the QB to actually drop back and throw. The other big story is whether the new defense can stop giving up 40 yard gains on third and 20. No one talkin' 'bout that!

How many slot receivers did we need while letting Feliciano, Gates, and Philips walk? We needed to spend big money on FA linemen because we got 0 in the draft this year but Dallas took 3. Their line must be horrible?? Nope..Schoen and Daboll can almost go kick rocks. Go DJ.
@BrettM765 There's a ton of problems that need to be fixed thanks to the mismanagement of this team over the last decade +. This season will be a referendum on Schoen and Daboll as to whether or not they're the guys that will make progress. I just get amused over the scribes who think merely drafting a top QB prospect will solve all their problems.
