Great interview! Kilbane looks friendly and innocent but asks some real pointed questions which Keane doesn't shy from answering. Kilbane should do more of these!

Ask him about Alf Inge Haaland, how he ended his career with a deliberate, horrific tackle that was done out of revenge for Haaland breaking his leg in an unfortunate challenge the year before. He is a vicious, spiteful person, and that was great when he was at his peak (what a legend, as a player, btw!) but as a person, it is very flawed.
@@shanet5604 :Keane did try to get vengeance for Hawk and wrongly abusing him, and although Haaland already had an injury, he did have to retire FOUR games later, and he DOES harbour some resentment at Keane for precipitating his retirement. Johnny Sheridan - It is sad really. Roy is massively insecure and has been miserable for a long time. Other people's success and happiness makes him uncomfortable and he chops them down. Roy just doesn't know who he is since leaving football.
He was a violent thug and a disgrace to the game. Anyone who sets out to deliberately injure other players should be banned for life. And Man Utd was an absolutely unethical scumbag club for fielding someone like him.
As a Liverpool fan, I despised Roy Keane as a player - too committed, too driven, too good. Since he has retired from playing, I have met him briefly whilst he was out walking his dog, nicest man. As a personality, as a man - total respect for him. He has integrity and he says exactly what he feels, a very rare breed in this day and age.
That Leeds and man city players stood up on his feet that very match. And played later on. He already had a knee trouble. Keane did not force him to retire
5-0 0-4 2-6 Haaland never touched Keane jackass! Keane, the spastic, tripped over his own feet in the box- that's why Haaland shouted at him because he thought Keane was faking for a penalty as no one touched him. He never laughed at him. Who the fuck trips over their own feet?? And had he purposely attacked someone in the street like that and ending a career is serious enough for a long prison term or in certain 3rd world countries a good public beating/maiming. He's lucky he was so protected n the UK.....
Ian Wright loves football, you can tell. I seen nothing in Roy Keane that even hints at a love for football. He seems to resent football, probably because he's a has-been player and embarrassed himself trying to be a manager. Real men also don't try to end other player's careers by snapping their legs. And pls don't forget his childish treatment of the Ireland squad, his petulance and his treachery. Didn't he leave the squad DURING a world cup? That's not a real man, that's a c**t.
I'd like to hear a few interviews with Keane that don't centre on his controversies, he was a great player, be good to hear about what he thought about the big games he played in, the great players he played with and against, the footballing highlights, how he drove his team mates and so forth. I'm a bit sick of Saipan, the red cards and his blow-up at Man Utd dominating every interview.

priceless in todays market. not one player like him. imagine him in current united side now. there wouldnt be any issues with attitude / commitment/ desire/passion
It's a pity it ended at Sunderland the way it did. I think he really enjoyed the fan culture that was there at the time, the intensity of support in a traditionally working class area. He was also left alone if we went out for a quiet pint during the week, which he probably appreciated a lot.
No disrespect to Paul Pogba, but if he is worth £90,000,000 today what would Keano be worth? £200,000,000 conservatively I'd say, particularly in his prime 1997-2001. Imagine Roy Keane in today's Man Utd team...
The entire football is piece of shit now, starting with money (disgusting), different type of playing style. I am United fan since i was 7 ( I am now 26) but I hate the players now bunch of overpaid little shits running around.
crnalegija9 Who should the revenue go to? More money going to the owners who run football clubs like idiots? I would like to see more money payed to staff in football but at the end of the day, the players take in the money because they're the ones that bring fans in. If you think they're overpaid then don't put money into football.
Priceless now. Players like Keane and viera. Once in a lifetime players. Just like zidane Messi ronaldo zavi iniesta scholes. Can't see any midfielders around like that now
Wonderful footballer.Drove Manchester United on for years.Sir Alex was a great manager but Roy was a driving force behind that. They fed off each other.Sad that it ended how it did between them. Both of them owe a lot to each other
if football had a few more Roy Keanes the game would be in a better place.. heart, loyality and passion.. I can't think of one player in the UK that has any of these attributes.. Frank Lampard yes .. can you think of anyone else.. big problem in the game..
+Ray Lucas A 'managerial failure' who is coach for the Ireland squad at Euro 2016. I firmly believe as many others do, Ireland wouldn't be there without Keane at Martin O'Neill's side. Everyone is entitled to their opinions but ask the best players during his time in England and Roy Keane will be in their top 11...even European 11. Arrogant footballer? If he is, he's not in bad comapny
Champions league and many titles since he fucked off. He was a legend in his prime but he's also an embittered petulant wanker who can't not have the last word regardless of whether he's right or wrong.
A great, great player, but what you've just said is utter nonsense. In Keane's last 3 seasons they never won the league BUT THEN after he left they went on to win 5 of the next 7 league titles and reach 3 Champions League Finals (winning one). It was one of the most remarkable rebuilding jobs every undertaken by a post-war team. Some downfall.
As an Irish Leeds fan, I never had much time for Roy. But for some reason I gained respect for his standing up to Mick McCarthy at the WC when he sent him home.
I hated him when he played for Man U, but I love the bones of the fella today. I'm an Arsenal fan btw. He was a legend of a footballer. Proper hard man. I would love to have had him at Aresnal.
Just watching "The last Dance" at the moment. Jordan and Keane, lot of similarities, pure winners!! Played club hurling with Ken McGrath, not too many guys like this left in sport. Honesty is amazing, never settling for less than 110%
Ive got massive respect for Roy Keane as a player- his drive and determination to win and influence the players around him- and what a player her was- top five premiership players of all time for me- He didn't like NUFC for may reasons- said in his biog. that we're delusional and if I'm being honest he's right about that as well. would have loved him in the Keegan team- would have won a lot with Roy in the Team. Brilliant player.
One of very few footballers in the last 30 odd years that you could actually imagine paying rugby and holding his own. Absolutely exceptional footballer but a very complex and flawed human being. I think I love him and loathe him in equal measure.
Roy Keane playing rugby?? not sure about that one. Well if he did he would certainly have been a back. I couldn't see him in the front row. have you seen the size of him in comparison to rugby players? Also I don't think he has the temperament or discopline for rugby.
One of the best midfield players of all time. I like his straight talking and professionalism. The truth rarely wins you any friends but it's vitally important.
People can't handle honesty, we pretend we like the truth but when someone rare like a Roy Keane who just has no filter comes along, he makes people uncomfortable.
Became a very bitter man since hanging up his boots, particularly to Ferguson and Manchester United as a whole. An absolute hero as a player and one of the greatest midfielders of his generation but sad to see the bitterness afterwards.
Iv met keano twice i quied for 15hours in dublin to get hes first book signed, got about 15/20seconds with him arm around him a photo and then sign my book. one of the proudest days off my life. it was up their with the days my kids were born. love ya keano
from a liverpool fan i would just like to say you got my respect mr keane. i hope he never manages united. cause he would kick them in shape literally. he would be awesome i think.
A proper Bloke. Hard as nails but wise as a scholar. The cultured thug.. How we need more Roy Keanes these days. A real mans man that you would want in the trenches. I won't get political lol
I love Keano and i like Roy Keane alot also. Best interviews of all time without a doubt for me, honesty and borderline insanity that makes too much sense. I agree with everything Roy has ever said and relate to him more than anyone ever.
I don't think SAF was talking nonsense, it was always about power but only because power kept him in the job, power came with the job HE was the one making the decisions There wS a fine line between Keane being a fantastic captain and a revolution architect; when your captain of 11/12 years starts bringing down team confidence, being bitter, questioning the manager, SAF had every right to exercise his power and shouldn't hold back with loyalty What a fucking fantastic player Roy Keane but his bitterness and rebellious nature ultimately led to his departure from united, and has no doubt drove wedges between him and significant people in his life, shame

As a personality, as a man - total respect for him. He has integrity and he says exactly what he feels, a very rare breed in this day and age.
15:35 this is the only time I’ve heard Keane laugh
Why does this feel so wrong ?
A cursed moment
First time for his family too apparently.
That need to be made into an NFT.
He's a true man says what he wants and doesn't give a fuck and actually loves the game
He only injured one player into retirement and that guy broke his acl and laughed at him
That Leeds and man city players stood up on his feet that very match.
He intended to end his career though!
What a leader and captain for Utd I wish we had him at Liverpool. Fire still burning in his eyes. 🇮🇪
Fantastic player. Great leader. Always admired Keane and his honesty.
When it comes to interviews and personality, Roy Keane is the Jim Cornette of football.
😂 Interesting comparison.
they definitely possess similar levels of athleticism... ;)
That's actually a spot on comparison. I absolutely love the both of them and I can't believe I've never made that link
Beautifully put, thank you fuck you goodbye
Yep you are right
Keane: "I was never one for hugs or kisses before games"..hehe.
MAIDENFAN idiot statement
I would never try to hug or kiss Roy Keane lol
I'd like to hear a few interviews with Keane that don't centre on his controversies, he was a great player, be good to hear about what he thought about the big games he played in, the great players he played with and against, the footballing highlights, how he drove his team mates and so forth. I'm a bit sick of Saipan, the red cards and his blow-up at Man Utd dominating every interview.
Roy Keane, Skillful, Complex, Short Fused.
Eric Cantona, Skillful, Complex, Short Fused.
Both were football geniuses.
Graham Daw both got huge beards now.
I’m a small football-related RUclips channel and I simply enjoy sharing my love of football with other fans
My most recent video is on Football Hard Men and why they are gradually disappearing in the Premier League. If like me, you enjoy the ‘proper game’ with tough players rather than the prima donnas of the modern game, head over to give it a watch and give me your thoughts?
Graham Daw you forgot tough bastards
Cantona and keane were good enough to make the subs bench for liverpool in the 70s 80s
to Graham Daw . . . . Ryan Giggs, quietly spoken , horny , hairy , untrustworthy around friends and family's women and confused . . a silly little welsh pen!s
He scares the shit out of me.....love the guy
Kilbane is becoming a top quality pundit and radio presenter...seems like a genuinely nice guy
Hes a fucking drip like he was as a footballer
Agree got such a smug grin on his face as he asks Roy the questions
Great player at Hull City
@@foreverred105 nobody is great that played for hull
@@kencarson3451 Billy Bremner?
I wish all the players nowadays have just a quarter of the passion and determination he had, what a legend!
I'm Liverpool through and through but I love this lad!
The greatest captain the english league will ever see , there will never be another leader like keano . The fact he doesn't have a statue outside old trafford is a disgrace .
priceless in todays market. not one player like him.
imagine him in current united side now. there wouldnt be any issues with attitude / commitment/ desire/passion
I never used to like Roy. However as time passes I’ve learned to love listening to him.. he talks sense and what’s more is a straight talker
Keane knows the power Fergie had over the FA and the media, no coincidence that Man United lost that power since he left.
Fair play to Roy his honesty shines through We need strong guys like him
I'd probably have a go at him..
Really?
Yeah! Yeah why not..
What a man Haha
Never gets old watching Roy Keane speaks. The man is brutally honest and straightforward. Thanks for the candor.
It's a pity it ended at Sunderland the way it did. I think he really enjoyed the fan culture that was there at the time, the intensity of support in a traditionally working class area. He was also left alone if we went out for a quiet pint during the week, which he probably appreciated a lot.
Say what you want, but everyone needs a friend like him, a loyal, straight fire SOB.
You can learn from Roy keane more then from any motivational speaker ♥️ legend
Roy Keane. An absolute legend and someone who talks straight. A really decent person
JNFGambler He'dbe chilling in the stands for the entirety of the season. The game has been even softer recently. It's horrible.
crnalegija9 Damn........true.
Both of them owe a lot to each other
Keane was a legend at Forest. We had some great players back in the day.
Roy Keane vs Diego Costa I would love to see that fight!
Vinni Binks keane would end him
Notorious Spartan - More like handbags the pair of them lol
Costa would be a dead nigga
Costa would dive and hold his baby finger
Keano could whoop Costa without trying
Roy was a fantastic player in his day, one of the all time greats... Carl
Roy thanks for the memories... you're a living legend
im a chelsea fan and i fucking love this man
Football is utterly brutal and without sentiment and Keane makes that clear.
LFC fan but i admire keanes attitude especially at 6.00
Gattuso & Barton aren't remotely close to Keane as a player or captain, he's probably, along with Tony Adams, the best captain the EPL has seen
FTMJarra my opinion..wee Jack Russell's. a man.
Him, Adams, and Steven Gerrard, who is another guy cut from the same mold. I'd be inclined to add John Terry, except that he is a despicable human....
cut from the same mold lol. its cut from the same cloth or cast from the same mold Kevin Marshall
Bald Jesus
This is my all time favorite player. United fan since 92. United could use his rage and heart now.
if football had a few more Roy Keanes the game would be in a better place.. heart, loyality and passion.. I can't think of one player in the UK that has any of these attributes.. Frank Lampard yes .. can you think of anyone else.. big problem in the game..
Keano - Legend. Man Utd have never replaced him...hence their downfall
+EverGreen1888 i think he's an arrogant ahole myself. okish player. arrogant pundit, and managerial failure
+EverGreen1888 I would not listen to kid in his bedroom .
EXPLOSIVE MY ARSE 😅😅😅✌🇮🇪 he always delivers a good interview.
Forest fan here.. remember watching Keane as a 19 year old.. he ran games on his own... phenomenal player !
Arsenal fan who cant spell clubs name lol
Typical illiterate Arsenal fan; can't even spell his own club's name.
Love your honesty, no BS - greatest captain UTD have had, hope to see you as UTD manager some day!
I think I love him and loathe him in equal measure.
wee willy winky
Just stop the nonsense. He's a midget.
MisAnnThorpe He's not complex he's just from Cork . We have a superiority complex and a chip on our shoulder at the same time.
Roy Keane playing rugby?? not sure about that one. Well if he did he would certainly have been a back. I couldn't see him in the front row. have you seen the size of him in comparison to rugby players? Also I don't think he has the temperament or discopline for rugby.
MisAnnThorpe RUGBY IS FUCKIN AWFUL
One of the best midfield players of all time. I like his straight talking and professionalism. The truth rarely wins you any friends but it's vitally important.
I shall forever love Roy Keane. The treble days. So many red cards in defence of his players.
People can't handle honesty, we pretend we like the truth but when someone rare like a Roy Keane who just has no filter comes along, he makes people uncomfortable.
Him and fergie both tenacious winners they are bound to clash. Roy Keane is simply the best midfielder Man U ever had by a mile. Simple as that
What you been drinking?
I keep going back into this site and watching all his interviews... luv the guy .. the hardest the best A CHAMPION pity Man U didn't clone him ....
explosive what are you talking about, its Keane being Keane. you people always get the title wrong just to make money.
Forest fan here. Lads a living legend! 🕶
Best box to box midfielder ever to play the game
Richard Whiston We all know that you spurs boys love a bit of box to box 🤣😬🤣🤣 #COYG 💪🏽
Became a very bitter man since hanging up his boots, particularly to Ferguson and Manchester United as a whole. An absolute hero as a player and one of the greatest midfielders of his generation but sad to see the bitterness afterwards.
As a City fan I should loathe him, but I can't help love him. What a captain. Takes no nonsense. Would loved to have had him at City.
Iv met keano twice i quied for 15hours in dublin to get hes first book signed, got about 15/20seconds with him arm around him a photo and then sign my book. one of the proudest days off my life. it was up their with the days my kids were born. love ya keano
I didn't know Jim Carey was a journalist
from a liverpool fan i would just like to say you got my respect mr keane. i hope he never manages united. cause he would kick them in shape literally. he would be awesome i think.

As a lfc fan, this man would've took us over the line with stevie g.a class act.a proud irishman, top class.👍
He's the Bull McCabe.

"What would you do if you were to bump into Fergie now?"
RK: "Truthfully, I'd probably have a go at him" 🤣🤣 love Roy
A Real Man, Footbler, a true Legend .
Kevin Kilbane, a gent
Roy Keane playing for Ireland against Spain in Seville was the best thing ever.
I don't think SAF was talking nonsense, it was always about power but only because power kept him in the job, power came with the job HE was the one making the decisions
There wS a fine line between Keane being a fantastic captain and a revolution architect; when your captain of 11/12 years starts bringing down team confidence, being bitter, questioning the manager, SAF had every right to exercise his power and shouldn't hold back with loyalty
What a fucking fantastic player Roy Keane but his bitterness and rebellious nature ultimately led to his departure from united, and has no doubt drove wedges between him and significant people in his life, shame
I must say Roy Keane looks damn good in beard.
Proper irish beard
