This is as close as you're going to get to a sign of respect from Keane. He respects Fergie massively for the manager he was, but also won't allow his single-mindedness to forget what he seen as a betrayal when Fergie got rid of him. Listening his voice and his facial expression saying “the look on Fergie was like a dagger in your heart for letting him down” shows how much this club and the manager meant to him. Players now just go after money money money...who truly plays for the club...sad reality. This is football back then. That was real and now it’s not football at all. Just bunch of gold diggers who love football not the club.
Yeah, forgetting that he moved on a big money transfer to United himself. I mean everybody is so blind to the fact that it was still going on in the 90s. But apparently those were the good old days when players just cared about playing. Bullshit. Relative to the time, all of these guys moved for big money at the time. So enough with this, back in the day it was also pure, it’s nonsense
@@conors4430 He moved because Forest were relegated that season and he could look for a move elsewhere, it was in his contract. And of course every player wants to look for a good wage, look after themselves and their family but he paid back what he earned with his consistent performances. What an incredible man, leader and captain. He may not have handled himself with integrity since he left Utd, but it’s great to listen to the actual admiration and respect he had for SAF and I’m sure SAF feels the same about Roy whatever is said in books or publicly. The two men were the cornerstones of Utd’s success. If we had half the man Keane was as a captain our team wouldn’t have the shocking standards it has now
Bloody brilliant, to have the integrity to call a spade a spade, even with what has happened (unjustly) to this man.........wow. One of the greatest leaders of men in sports history.
Roy Keane is one of the most interesting pundits to hear from, especially when he talks about his time as United captain and Fergie. Shame that their relationship is what it is now. I hope one day they can begin speaking again - even if they never were close in terms of a friendship it would be nice to see that they’re back on talking terms. What a duo for United they were.
I could listen to Roy speak all day. Why is he so addictive to listen to? He would have made an incredible manager if he fine tuned himself a bit to blend into the current times.
There is not a player like Keane in the Premier League and probably hasn't been since he finished up. It's nice to see these interviews as it gives a good insight into what it was like for that brilliant era he was a part of
I feel privileged that I grew up watching Roy Keane and that era of football. Young people these days have got zero idea of the passion and determination the teams back then had. It's all about the money now and football is or has lost its appeal to many. Overpaid pillocks
Box office football every weekend in those days. Especially when Italian football was available during the late morning into the early afternoon and then waiting till the Saturday Night Football program. Excellent times.

Roy Keane is part of the golden gen were it was all about the game. The game is what players today need to focus on... rather than social media status and their looks and thus adding more to their egos. Massive respect to Roy
You're literally talking about Pogba
just a bunch of mercenaries now.
@@conors4430 He moved because Forest were relegated that season and he could look for a move elsewhere, it was in his contract. And of course every player wants to look for a good wage, look after themselves and their family but he paid back what he earned with his consistent performances. Nowadays, put in a couple of good performances and play like dogshit for the next 10 games and it is acceptable to the club, somehow. Players back then had pride, now it is all about how to get the most fame.
A true professional, win on the pitch and you don’t owe anything to anyone.
I love the admiration he still has for Sir Alex as a professional. Might not like him and each other but both still have huge respect as professionals
Could watch roy interviews for days
We will always love you, Roy. Legend for us
I could listen to Roy speak all day. Fabulous.
That would slowly corrupt the great character that defines him
There is not a player like Keane in the Premier League and probably hasn't been since he finished up. It's nice to see these interviews as it gives a good insight into what it was like for that brilliant era he was a part of
he's actually one of my favourite players of all time
I feel privileged that I grew up watching Roy Keane and that era of football. Young people these days have got zero idea of the passion and determination the teams back then had. It's all about the money now and football is or has lost its appeal to many. Overpaid pillocks
Well explained
happen on mostly everything now man, expensive price with lowered quality
well said I used to eat drink and sleep football during that era. I barely check the results these days
Box office football every weekend in those days. Especially when Italian football was available during the late morning into the early afternoon and then waiting till the Saturday Night Football program. Excellent times.
Not all are like that though. We still have legends like Ronaldo who give everything to the game. whether you like him or not Ronaldo is a true professional despite being like a billionaire
I really miss Keano. Can't repeat that often enough. Lads, don't forget who we are. We are Man Utd. Exactly. How many at the club, not just players, can say that today?
I could listen to Keano all day
Listening to Roy. I feel that life will get better. Good life experience.
As a Liverpool fan...Roy Keane is and was a legend. Absolutely world class player....all youngsters should watch this interview..it tells them how to behave and have respect and also.....win.
I’d actually love to see Roy get a chance as manunited manager I feel it would be pretty good he’s a smart guy and knows the game👏
Had his chance at management, he hasnt got the patience or tolerance for modern day players, he would have lawsuits coming out of his ears from players agents over the way he spoke or shouted at them, the game has gone too soft for the likes of Keane
@@johnnysheridan a year late mate
Absolute genius putting Roy on MNF. He has time to express his points fully and there’s some real insight to be had.
The best 5 mins 42 seconds you’ll see today
anony mous dunno Kelsie Monroes DP was a good watch a few minutes ago on PH
anony mous Hi Guys I have just made Two New videos on this BIG FIGHT coming up💯

last 5 mins of Bayern and tottenham were good also
Honesty. Brilliant honesty.
fiig yep 😬
Would kill for someone like Roy in the team now.
We love you Keano and a character like you is much needed now. Even though you dissed my son back at the Cliff in 98 you wore you heart on your sleeve and nothing other than honest. I still feel Sir Alex could have dealt with your departure better but all in the past. We not have won what we did without you. And of course Sir Alex will always be dear to hearts. Much respect to you both.
How did he diss your son?
I love Roy Keane. Honest, straight and true.
I want to hire keane as my life coach 😂
Write your WILL before you do that😂😅
No more tea and biscuits for you
Good idea, but...good luck
*Wakes up at 8
Roy: You didn't pop straight up out of bed and started browsing your phone. Dreadful. How much are your bosses paying you?!
What are you, a masochist? xD
I know people try to highlight differences between sir alex and roy keane but you can genuinely feel he respected sir alex a lot. They were winners may be mirror images of each other. For both of them priority was Manchester United and nothing else.Massive respect to both legends of football.
Hmm Roy as a manager let's see
Da gea - Lynched
Lingard - buried in a box
Pogba - punched in the face n shaved bald
Martial - ducking for cover
Completely spot on. He was all business and didn't care if they liked him or not and that's what it's all about, need more players like this.
Legend of a player and the best pundit on TV
This man set the standards that had to be met to last at Man Utd and the standards he set himself was levels above I think everything he says is spot on he’s oozes winner from every pour
Why doesn't the English media criticize lingard & rashford ?
Pogba is always their spacegoat
Chilly Dreams because they’r english
Because Lingard is a young prospect and Rashford has just broke in.
Spacegoat is the greatest word I’ve ever seen. Even if it was an autocorrect.
Mr haha pogba the spacegoat is magnificent
Spacegoats will eat asteroids, comets, debris from Chinese satellites, they don't care
Gooner here. Nuff respect Keane. You’re an Icon. Much respect to Sir Alex Ferguson and Brian Clough.
This is the most praise and show of respect I have ever heard Keane say about Fergie. Maybe he has started to realise that life is too short, and maybe he realises that whatever happened between them was 50/50. About time too I say!
He's always said stuff like this.
Thats the weird thing
both always compliment each other as leaders and are similar.
strange. think by the end fergie wanted him gone because he didnt get along with his assistant. Querios
@@Bukoappl Literally only last month he did an interview with Off The Ball and was taking quite a few jabs at Fergie. I'd say his feelings on the man are complicated.
Make no mistake, Roy would still have a go at Sir Alex if they meet somewhere by accident.
@@jamstonjulian6947 that's the truth
I could listen to Roy Keane all day. He is brilliant TV. I love it when you can see he is boiling up inside especially after a poor United display, you know something gold is going to be said. His bluntness is actually refreshing compared to other pundits. He's the most entertaining pundit since Brian Clough
I have big respect for keane beast of a player 👏
I'm a liverpool fan but Roy Keane is a premier league legend will never forget the constant battle between him and Viera in the early 2000's would of had Keane at Liverppol in a heartbeat 👍🏻
Nice to hear him talk about Ferguson in a more positive manner, I really wish he’d let it go and make up with Fergie. I’d love to see Roy have some future role at United. My god they could do with a leader and a player like him right now.
"He'd let it go"?
You obviously never watched Fergie's interviews or read his books!
Keane has shown more forgiveness than Fergie 10 times over.
Ferguson was such a bitter man when Keane rightly got credit for Man Utd performances during his career at the club.
Try finding a piece where Fergie speaks as respectfully about Roy! You wont find one!
I keep coming back to watch this all the time. Legend
This man was the best midfielder of his generation by a country mile
He wasn’t even the best at United 😂
@@kieronfurness7253 😂
Carragher was excellent here the way he structured his question. Was nice to see Keaneo talk about his day to day life at United instead of the focus on his exit
What a great captain and leader he was.
Roy Keane was one of the greatest captains ever for Manchester United. Led by example and was a world class player. Had a hugely successful career under Sir Alex Ferguson. Won so many trophies.
Roy "I don't enjoy biscuits" Keane.
Ah feck man LOL
I don't eat green eggs and ham
"You can shove those bourbons up yer arse"
I may be a Spurs fan but it is good to hear Roy talk well of Sir Alex for a change, more often than not you only hear about their rift & falling out!
Shame what football has become nowadays - bland characters in the game 😞
since twitter and instagram
The problem is that the PR team grind out the players character to the point they become robotic in interviews
Dodomando either robots or twats
It's not just football. It's a completely bland culture everywhere in Europe and America. The world is a McDonalds.
