Roy Keane is a far greater football figure in England than Mourinho. I think he listens because he genuinely wants to hear what the hell Mourinho was thinking with his worst-ever mismanagement of Manchester United. Keane also criticised him repeatedly during that period. Its actually Mourinho who doesnt want to talk to Keane. Nonetheless, very interesting appearances.

    fast forward to now,
    Marcus Rashford has 19 goals
    Anthony Martial has 16 goals
Daniel James has 3 or 4 goals (but United's top assist leader with 6)
Mason Greenwood has 11 or 12 goals.
Mourinho once again prove he is correct.
Edit (27th June '20, before the Norwich FA Cup game): - Martial is on 19 goals after a hattrick against Sheff Utd
    - Mason Greenwood has 12 not 11 goals.
    - United's attacking trident has 50 goals
    Edit (15th Aug '20):
    - Martial has 23 Goals
    - Rashford has 22 Goals
    - Greenwood has 17 Goals
    - a total of 62 Goals. Mental stuff.

What's so interesting to see with Mourinho is his ability to listen to other people. It would be so easy for him to think he is bigger than everyone else in the room, talk, talk, talk, and overshadow the other pundits who have had failed to mixed experiences in management. At 3:46 you can see him listening so well to Carra. His communication skills are great and have obviously contributed to much of his success. Quite in contrast to Roy who is of course still very entertaining. Keane dismissed Carra's point about one/two players coming in such as Suarez lifting the club from 6th to 2nd simply because Liverpool didn't get the title. With that sort of obtuse attitude its obvious why Roy has not been successful in management, and others such as Mourinho have, who listen and consider everyone's points in context more carefully.

C. Aside from Viera no one went toe to toe with Keane. Souness had to contend with teams loaded with kickers, no protection from TV or refs. D. Like all the other players at that time poor quality pitches. Souness once said in their heyday Liverpool had teams to play on a cold wet Saturday knowing they probably won't get a result (the opposition) but we will have a kick at them. He said if Dalglish or Rush or even himself were getting roughed up he would say to the ref " are you going to deal with it or me"? The ref invariably would say "ok Graeme you've got one tackle". Ronnie Whelan said Souness was the best player he ever played with and he played with Roy too I think Both truly great players and impossible to say who better because of different career times. The point was if one player can move you from 6th to 2nd, almost winning the title, what can three good ones do for a club like Man U. Keane just dodged that point to be childish. Tellingly, with three great signings Liverpool have leapfrogged all the other "challengers" to be consistently at the top with City, and be 10 points clear of Man U after just 6 games this season.
