    This is an updated tutorial because Microsoft has blocked one of the methods. So, I created another video that shows the 3 methods that are currently working even for version 24H2.

    This did not work for me JUL/AUG2024. Brand new Dell. I was able to make it to CMD prompt but it repeated the setup process without the option for a local user. I did have to hit shift/func/F10 on the laptop to pull up CMD, otherwise snippit screen came up. You do have to click into the cmd window even though the cursor is flashing to type. I have an IT co so they are coming onsite to setup for the company anyway so I'm not wasting time trying to circumvent win 11 setup. Thanks for the vid! MS needs to change this and give us the option.

    I had to reinstall Windows 11 Pro a few days ago and I saw that there is no offline/local account option anymore. Why do they insist that we use Microsoft Accounts to sign into our PCs? I have one and it’s great but for some people and some cases you probably don’t want to use an MS Account.

    Very nice video. I just got a new Lenovo laptop with windows 11 pro and was looking for a way to create a local account without MS account. Your third option seems easiest. I just have a question: will there be any difference in the actual use if I choose domain join (because this laptop is for my home personal use only, and not for any school/office.)
    Another question: Is it necessary to answer those 3 security questions? (Because I have a password manager app in my phone so no worries if I forget any password.)

      1- Nope, that's just the name of the setting, it doesn't do any domain changes.
      2- Nope, but it's recommended you never note when the password could fail.
      Thanks,

    @Pureinfotech thanks for the very informative video. I got a Lenovo laptop for my nephew living in another country. It came with 1 yr free Ms office. I have a MS accnt. My question is if i can use my MS acct to get activated and switch to local acct or email and deactivate my MS acc later when i give to my nephew. What will happen to MS off if i deactivate my MS acc Thanks for your help

      If you're preparing the PC for another person, simply create another account and make it admin, then from the new local or Microsoft account, go to the settings and delete your old account. You won't deactivate the Installation of Windows 11. However, if you have a Microsoft 365 subscription to use office, you will have to use the account with the subscription to keep using office. Thanks,

      The easiest ways is to clean install the OS: ruclips.net/video/Cx0bgjG0Bzg/видео.html Or watch the video to create a USB media, then run the Setup.exe from within File Explorer and proceed with the upgrade. Thanks,

    Remember one thing if you are creating local ac in rufus don't forget to create a password after windows installation complete. Otherwise once you reboot it gonna ask you password and you didn't created only and stuck on lock screen forever 😂. So dont create a local ac in rufus just skip ms ac option

    • @Pureinfotech

      Nope it's not the case, because you'll get the option to create a password, no biggie, and the video shows you every step

    Even easier: switch to Linux

    • @Pureinfotech
      @Pureinfotech  Месяц назад +2

      I hear a lot of people talking about switching to Linux, which is fine, but I ask myself: How easy would be to install, configure, and use Linux for your family, grandparents, and non-technical people?

      @mpm_ Месяц назад +3

      @@Pureinfotech I agree we need many improvements on Linux, but actually there are distros designed to be easy, like Linux mint. It's becoming a matter of responsability to use opensource Operating Systems. We can't continue forever to sell our life to MS. They shouldn't even know how many times I open paint. They should know nothing of what we do on our personal computers

    You should only use a local account if you really need to. Using a Microsoft Account in Windows is the best way to go otherwise!
