    This was super helpful and perfect timing as I just bought 6 FIP’s last week and was trying to figure out why they were backwards. I bought a computer from you last year because I could tell you knew your stuff from the videos you put out. After a year of running I know I got the computer best configured to work with X-Plane!

    I've owned 6 of these for the past 12 months. They are fantastic. I just bought a flight panel to properly mount them, along with my 2 Logitech radio panels. I also bought another one taking me to 7 FIPs and when funds permit, I will buy #8. The panel I bought has cutouts for 8 of these little gems.

    Wow....I'm so glad you posted this fix...I was so irritated with it and I wasn't happy at all because it can cause a bad habit ...which I don't want to have while flying my real plane,
    Thanks Mike

    Because I don't have a Logi/Saitek FIP, there are no backward knobs. That doesn't mean I don't appreciate what you're doing in these little videos. Last week's wifi antenna vid was definitely helpful and I'm saving the free PC software vid until I can take advantage of those goodies. Thank you.

    Hi Micheal I have 12 of these units and I love them. Not sure why you appear not to like them. I run a program I got from the XPlane store that changes the look and works perfect. The main issues I have with the Logitech gear is the Multi Panel and the display. I watched your video on that which pointed me in the right direction but is out dated. I’m running 15 USB connections. Keep up the great work mate your videos are always straight to the point with no BS. Say hi to Austin

    always enjoy your videos , I have 9 of the Saitek FIPS and I guess I am lucky on this one , they all work fine for me ! Will keep this for future , as we all know anything can go wrong ! Keep up the great work you do for us all ! Thanks

    I just got a Logitech switch panel. Worked perfectly for one day. The next day, and every day, since, the mag switch drops the sim to desktop, as soon as you hit the "start" side of the mag switch.

    The knobs are not 'backwards.' If you turn the right knob to the right, which is positive, the heading bug goes to increasing compass degrees, and to the left, which is negative, then it goes to decreasing degrees. This is true for the OBS/VOR compass knob on the left. In real aircraft it does work as you have described, turn right-=, bug goes right, turn left, bug goes left. My point is the code isn't written incorrectly if you look at the knobs as + and -. But your fix in closer to real life situations.

    haha I live in Brazil, I always watch your videos thinking about buying these dispositives, for us, I think, the only solution is eBay, but the tax is too expensive, for instance: The Honeycomb Alpha Flight Control cost $250, but besides that we pay $50 of delivery and $290 of tax on a total of $590. It's easier go to USA, buy it there and bring it to Brazil. I buy the product and visit your country.
    Just talking about my pain :)

    Great vid guys! , I’ve been having this problem so thank you! is there any way you please look into the saitek/ Logitech fix for the BIP? This seems to be the only panel which doesn’t work properly with x plane 11?

    Michael, thanks for all of the information you post. It is most helpful. I was wondering what all of the software is that you run with your X-Plane 11? I am in the process of setting up my flight sim. Thanks, Nick

    Hello there, i hope you are doing more than fantastic. Great video although i do not use this saitek instrument panel...
    What i really want is your advice, i bought 8 screes for my simulator, 5 of them will gonna work for the view 2 of them to display pilot and co-pilot instrument and one of it to be as as instructor station. I am not too stable regarding financial states, and i want to build a computer that can take this screes with an affordable price and that can give me a ratio of about 30 fps, believing that this will be okay for me, what type of Graphics Card should i buy how many of it, type of processor, RAM memory and motherboard?
    Best Regards
    Jose

    Hi Micheal Brown, have been following you lately as I am building a amateur home setup. I was wondering to get two of these gauges for ASI airspeed and heading. You said you don't recoomend them? Are those that bad for a home sim? Thanks a lot!

    I think the propwash simulator's PWS530 (simulating GNS 530) is very nice and good priced. How about testing it, and put into your xforcepc.com package?

    Hey Michael, thanks for always sharing so much useful information with us! I've watched all your FIP-related videos, and I'm still finding problem with it when paired with the Honeycomb yoke. Have you ever had problems with it shutting off when yoke is connected to it? I'm using the SaitekFIPDSMPlugin as well.

    Hey Michael I’m having a similar issue with the Carenado C182 and my Siatek radio panel with Nav 1 and Nav 2 frequencies. The standby vs active frequency on the MFD always shows backwards on the Siatek panel. Could it be something similar to this fix? Thanks so much for your help!

  • @TheHexperience

    Who wrote the plugin? Seems like the problem is with the software not the hardware. Does that make the hardware bad? Out of the box does it work fine with fsx?

  • @jellowiggler

    That instrument xml file is an xplane file, in the game folder. So those mistakes were made by Laminar I believe.
    Can't hang that one on Logitech. They ought to update their entire flight line though. Relying on what you bought from Madcatz in 2016, which they bought from Saitek in 2007, without nary an improvement is pretty poor. Maybe they are just clearing out warehouses of old hardware they got for pennies on the dollar?

    • @xforcepc
      @xforcepc  4 года назад

      No. Wrong. That file is put there during the Logitech installation. That is NOT a Laminar Research file.

      I stand corrected then. Either way that is just sloppy. Good thing it is easily fixed. Thank you for the good videos!

    I can’t make fip work in xplane 12, plug-in seems to be dead, I saw that running as a service but doesn’t work, just appear the fip logo and nothing more

    • @xforcepc
      @xforcepc  Год назад

      The plug-in installer from Logitech does not detect X-Plane 12. So you have to copy the plug-in folder manually from your x plane 11. Over to XP 12.

    Actually, much better idea is to let the manufacturer know of this problem and they will update their configuration files and everyone will benefit from it.
