I’ve built the Hachette part works kit of Bismarck which basically the same kit, it sits proudly in my man cave. I’m a few weeks into Amati’s HMS Bounty. I’ve sorted all the issues with Bounty kit early in the build thanks to your videos. I even got some of cast metal parts to fit on the stern by horizontally planking the gallery supports. I also made a the plywood wood slight longer on the stern the get the windows under the deck. Anyway good luck with this build it’s fantastic model especially the brass photo etch on the super structure.
Thanks for posting these videos! Looking forward to following your build! I have a few questions for you: 1. Is this a "boxed version" of the 1:200 Bismarck that was released (in Europe) by Hachette? How similar? 2. Do you know if AMATI is going to release a similar "boxed Version" of their 1:200 HMS Hood - also released (in Europe) by Hachette? Thanks!!
Thank you and yes it's the same Kit with , I think some small improvements . I am not sure if they are planning to make the Hood too, but as soon I got any information I will let you know .
@@richardsimmons6470 I can't make any judgements since I've never have built the Hachette Kit , but since the Hachette Kit is too from AMATI , I think it must be true that they have improved the Model
having major problems getting the hull smooth and also major incorrect info on hull detail will post picrures have you started the next level yet as it needs the planking between the etched plates to be sunk
Thank you for your Comment , you might should check Part 3 , which I just have posted . It will give you some answers of your Questions . Happy modelling

Nice woodworking skills. The camera work was nice too!

That is some of the best planking I've ever seen. Great work. I'm trying to decide if I will get this kit or the Prince Eugen from Occre
Thank you Greg, you might watch the last Video of this Series where I give my personal validation , that includes also the Prince Eugen
