    Your channel came to me by the algorithm. I have just watched all seven episodes and it was an absolute pleasure.
    I have subscribed and I look forward to watching the rest of the build. Thanks.

    I am enjoying this build. I am building the 1/350 Tamiya version and added the deck markings as well......its history afterall.
    Quick question......why didn't you paint the exposed part of the propellar shafts......at least I thought those were exposed sections?

      Thank you very much for watching , I am sure the Tamiya Kit is also very interesting . Well, regarding the Propeller shaft , I am not sure if this Section is exposed or if it's only an extension of the Tube !!?? The Instruction tells you to paint it in Red Brown . If you have any source what will reveal the Truth , then please let me know . Thank you and happy modelling , John

    Question - was contact cement called for in the instructions? That stuff can be horrible to work with. Gotta say that I did skip the swastika part though it is a part of the ship's unpleasant history

    • @davaoshipmodeller
      @davaoshipmodeller  2 года назад

      The Instructions didn't advise any Glue to use but from my personal experience , it was the best choice since all waterbased Woodglues are deforming the thin Wood Sheets . The Swastika is Part of the History of this Ship ( depends on the Month and Year ) you going to choose and I don't see any Reason why I shouldn't paint those Symbols on , because if we say the Ship has an unpleasant History we shouldn't built this Model at all . Well after all it's a personal choice and everybody should make it as he pleased . Happy modelling

      @@davaoshipmodeller John, you are correct about being a personal choice but just not mine and I don't criticize others choice. Non water based adhesives - look at the MSDS for Titebond lll (Ultimate). This along with their ll are my go-to wood glues.

      @@jdwht2455 that's great as well as me , I respect the Choices of others . Regarding the Titebond III ; there are many Things/Materials out there I like to have but unfortunately many of them are not available in the Philippines or extreme expensive . I've used Pioneer Wood Glue before and now I don't get it anymore , so I had to switch to Elmer's Wood Glue . I used Elmer's Wood Glue for the 2nd Layer at the Bow and if you check the Video closely, you will see that it didn't stick well. So I had to let it dry over night with some weight on it . From the Choices I have , I still think that the Contact Cement was the Best

      @@davaoshipmodeller John, I wasn't 100% sure where you are located but knew it wasn't the US. Surprised Titebond products aren't easily is available and Elmer's is. Elmer's are my last choices for any kind of adhesives having the same kind of experience you are having doing wood work projects.
      I am enjoying all of your builds

      @@jdwht2455 well there are Titebond Products available but way more expensive than Elmer's and as said , not easy to get . So I have to deal with what I can get LOL . I am glad you are enjoying my Videos , tnx for watching
