That was my first thought too BUT those are ammunition Bags , as you will see later in the project . Thank you for watching
nice work! looking forwards to the next video
Glad you like it, thank you for watching
Phew! That's a bunch of great improvements to a pretty involved model. Glad tat you have recovered from hours of sanding though. Waiting for the next update👍
I am glad you like it, thank you for watching my friend
Stunning!
Thank you for watching, I am glad you like it
Gruss Johannes
Really cool. ⛵
Tnx, glad you like it
You are a true master, it’s always a pleasure watching your work. Thanks I hope one day to have a 10% of your amazing skills.
Thank you very much! I am pretty sure that you can also make great models, thank you for watching
Hi John, that sure is a lot of detail to add to this kit. Very nice work and an eye for the details, I can see that you have many years of experience in the modeling field. Keep up the good work and placing of your videos, I enjoy them ....
Many thanks! I am so glad you like, plenty more details will come, keep watching
Really a beautifull, beautifull build...I think that I would indeed have the most trouble with the planking and therefore this would not be a model for me, but I love the end-result. Great work !!
I can assure you that the planking is the least of your worries, there are plenty of other things that could cause you trouble. Anyway I am really glad you like it, thank you for watching
Cool 🚋
Thank you, I am glad you like it
Hi, thank you very much for the extensive and very interesting information. I hope I can use it on my model of the Stuttgart and in my video, mentioning your name.
you really made things hard for you that time around, with the epoxy and filler, there is a dacron cloth called "peel ply" you can use over the epoxy and fiberglass, once hardend, you rip it of and you get a nice surface for fairing the hull. Credit for dooing the hard work and sticking to it though.
That's a very useful Information , thank you for sharing I will check where I can buy this for upcoming Projects . Thank you for watching
Hi John. I have to say that I almost cried when you started using automotive body repair items. I'm not a professional by any means but have repaired or built cars for 50 plus years as a hobby. Using the materials you used is kind of an art but easily learned - and taking your time is the first thing. When you applied the filler and leaving high spots in that "mud" equals lots of sanding time. You are best off skim coating as smooth as possible, sanding then skim coating again and as often as needed to meet the finish level required. As to that primer sealer - again, mist coats, scuff to a bit of a rougher surface (I like Scotch-brite sanding cloths or similar brands) reapply that sealer. As a note, most 2 part primers are not very waterproof unless they are epoxy based. OK, had my say😃 I know you will do your normally great build on this model👍👍
Don't cry my Friend LOL, your Comment was very useful and I will check those Products for upcoming Projects. Thank you for watching
your doing fine, we all make mistakes in our models.
Thank you
Hi John, there is an old saying....if you want something to look perfect, you will have to invest the time.
So True , tnx for watching
😢😢😢 so ärgerlich…
Danke fuers anschauen

I have just purchased this kit to build after a cancer operation and I am sure your experience will be invaluable. Thank you
That's great and I hope your Treatment was successful, because you will have many month fun with this Kit . Happy modelling and get well soon ,John
I agree with your comment on the railings. The problem is that if the metal decks are glued in place as indicated by the wooden veneer deck then they stick too far out and that means that the railings aren’t long enough to cover the gap. So it’s trial and error and I had to do the whole thing three times before I got it right.
Good Lord, 3 times !? At least you have now a lot of experience LOL. Honestly, no Kit is perfect and those are the challenges we have to master . Happy modelling, John
Wow nice job! Any template pdf ?
Thank you. Template pdf of what ?
@@davaoshipmodeller yes, a template of pieces... PDF file
Sorry but I don't have any PDF Files of those Parts .
You truly have amazing skills, not only building but also teaching, electricity, and a eye for details. For me you are a true master builder… amazing
Thank you very much but I don't see myself as a Master. I am just a regular Model Builder who makes RUclips Videos and giving back what I've learned from other RUclipsrs and plenty of experience from around 40 Years of Model making
Great idea with the Modge Podge. I am about to start OcCre 's Titanic, there are quiet a few stickers.
I hope the Quality of your Kit are better then from this Kit . Thank you for watching
Thank you very much, I am glad you like it.
I'm going to convert mine to an 9rdinary fishing boat not a tuna angl8ng type, too fussy.
Great, I think that it's going to be an interesting project for you. Happy modelling , John
Hello John! One question: How did you bend the metal sticks at the ship‘s bow? Your work and your skills are such an inspiration for my ship modeling! Greetings from Germany ❤
Glad you like it, thank you for watching
Great work. It´s good to see a so diferent model from a country far from mine. Greetings from a shipmodeller from Brazil
Woow , greetings too from the Philippines, I am glad you like it, thank you for watching
Great work. Greetings from a fellow shipmodeller in Sweden.
That's nice , if I only had the chance to visit your country and the Museum, that would be a great deal. Thank you for watching
Thanks! P.S. The Patreon URL in your end credits is misspelled!
Tnx Jonas , I will check that out
Fantastic…🫶🏽 it looks so good…👍🏽🙋🏽♂️🐝
Thank you so much, glad you like it
After catching, the fish would be gutted on the table, but then what? I'm assuming salt and storage of some description?
Gutting and salting is not included 😁😁
What size are these planks please, my kit came without parts list or instructions!
Since this is a very old Project, I don't remember all Parts but I believe it's a 3 x 0.5 or 5 x 0.5 mm Plank
I suppose you have reached a standard that you can sell the m9dels, I'm improving, but not fast enough!
Yes thank you, I am be able to sell the one or the other Model and it took decades to come this far. So don't worry and pressure , just enjoy the Hobby. Best regards John
Well, most of my Displays are Scratch built but you could try to check out Hobby or Craft Stores .
Cool I'm a new Subscriber on your channel.
Thank you, I hope you enjoy the Channel with all his Projects

Thank you
Beautiful, John. Kind of surprised that you used those poor quality stickers instead of paint. My guess is that they will peel off within a fairly short time. Those seats are exceptionally nice especially with the added strips you used to add quality as they really looked ... not great before👍
It will turn out as a bad decision as you will see later on. Thank you for watching my Friend
@@davaoshipmodeller waiting as usual with anticipation!
Gruss Johannes
How many track links did you use per side ?
I am sorry but I don't remember . If it's very important for you I could go over and open the Display and count it for you. Please let me know, Tnx
These holes are 'scuppers', these are holes in a ship's side to carry water overboard from the deck.🙂
Thank you for teaching , happy modelling
Sehr gutt!
Dankeschoen
Gush... 1m40? All of the sudden, Bismarck seems quite acceptable :) I should tell my wife, she is still bickering me about the fact that Bismarck is too big for our house :)
Totally understandable , I am also already looking where I can put that model beside my Bismarck LOL
I bought the Amati Bismarck kit over a year ago, I’m still building it, but what an incredible kit, everything is included and the detail is amazing
@@bobfinning8587 I totally agree , the Bismarck is a amazing Kit and it took me more than 6 Month ( in Full time ) to complete. The only major Con are the Instructions
Looks like a pretty nice model - and plenty big enough for fumble fingered folks like me to build. Unfortunately, I barely have space to build a 1.4m (4.5 feet for us in the US) model. Waiting for the next installment.
Yes indeed it's pretty big
merci beaucoup
Another masterpiece to enjoy! 😊👍
Thank you , I so glad you like it
You are welcome and I am glad you like it. I have also a huge Galleon coming up soon ( The Amati HMS Fly ) . Thank you for watching
