  • This video is all about what to expect if you are having total thyroidectomy surgery. Having your thyroid removed can sound like a scary process, but with a little preparation and research of your hospital and physician, this surgery does not have to be a negative experience. There were several things I wish I would have done before to prepare better for my surgery. I hope this can help you!
    In this video, I discuss the process from consultation through post-op with several recommendations to you. I hope your surgery goes well!

      How did your surgery go? Did you have problems with the hormones. I have to have my whole thyroid removed

      Thanks for the video. I’m Still waiting for my biopsy to be done but I have to get surgery either way cuz my nodule is big and pressing on my trachea. I’m scared that they might take out my parathyroid on accident. Thanks for the tips. Hope your doing well and got your levels situated

      Worry Less, Smile More, I’ll be keeping you in my thoughts! As far as your surgery, I’ve heard good and bad things about the best surgeons. If possible, try to keep a positive attitude! I know it is scary, but I hope you have some reassuring answers soon! ❤️

    I had a thyroidectomy a month ago and I have to say that I had a great experience I had no pain when I woke up from my surgery I ate rice and shrimp the same day I have no complains and no pain what so ever. The only thing I say is that my voice is still no the same like I have to strain to talk and breath but other then that I feel great I had no pain and I take my synthroid every morning but the surgery is not bad at all good luck to any one that has to have this done.

    • @copmom911
      @copmom911  3 года назад +1

      Fatigued, yes, very frequently. Yes I am taking different medication for control and suppression. It sounds unfortunate but you start to get used to the tiredness, fatigue, and generally not feeling 100%
