I watched this video 2 years ago. Today my dad woke up and fell out of the bed because he wasnt able to use his left arm. I asked him if he feels it and he said no its weird. I asked him to hold his hands infront of him and turn them so that the palms are upwards which only worked with his right one while is left one fell down. I called Emergency services asap and when they arrived he walked to them and laid down. Not even a minute later the Doc told me to wait while my dad had a stroke. 5 Hours later I now know the damage is there but my fast reaction and the imediate reaction of the docs maybe saved his life. Thank you for the knowledge which enabled me to put the clues together
On the scan pictures there is a black spot the size of a ping pong ball on the right side of his brain. He never went into coma, can still speak and walk. Close one
We're glad that our video was able to help and we hope that your dad is recovering well! Thanks for sharing this with us! 🙏🏼
😊😊😊l
I had an Ischemic stroke last Thursday. I was told that it was from a heart fibrillation. Since then I have been very tired and a bit light headed. I have a follow up with my doctor tomorrow. Your video is very informative.

My father just had a stroke and I am waiting to speak to the Neurologist. This will help me ask the right questions. Thank you.
Glad it was helpful. Hope it went well! 🙏🏼
Very clear and straight forward! One of your best, I would say!
please pray for my father.. 🙏
My husband had this type of stroke over 2 years ago and this is the best video I've seen that explains it all.
Thanks for the feedback, Roberta. We hope this video was able to help 🙏🏼
had my stroke on October 18th, 2018 at around 2:30pm. I made a full recovery, but they still have no idea what caused it. they said I had high blood pressure but are still looking for an actual cause because I was so young when it happened. I was 30 which is apparently very young to have a stroke. so just in case they put me on heart medication and anti cholesterol along with aspirin. I was at therapy when it happened and the hospital was right down the street so I was able to get help fairly quickly. I would begin to lose function of the left side of my body, and then it would settle down and i would regain function again. that happened five to six times before it finally settled down, they kept me in the hospital for two days to monitor me.
The brain is amazing and the people that did the autopsy are even more amazing.
This was invaluable. My health care system is so backed up, I cant even see a cardiologist for months. Luckily my wonderful doctor ordered a vio patch and that has help us with some of this pathology Im having.
Beautiful and clear presentation, thank you. I suggest to consider your body as the best friend of your life so that you will not do anything to harm your body-friend, particularly what effects your brain like alcohol and drugs. The only drug permitted is LIFE in its beauty and power!
@Elizabeth Brower I'm sorry for what you're going through ma'am. I hope your health is getting better.
Your statements are not wrong. But if you're talking about health, you must consider every aspect of your life.
The person you comment to is only kindly reminding people how unimportant alcohol and smoking are. Those two are the most common etiology of diseases. You know people these days are addicted to alcohol and smoking...
About your statement you can get ischaemic stroke with healthy life, I think you must consider your lifestyle. If your lifestyle is poor, then your life is not healthy. So hypertension, stress, poor sleep, etc, all of them affect your body's health to develop diseases.
God bless.
@Elizabeth Brower I see you're a Christian ma'am. I don't smoke nor drink alcohol in my whole life (I never drink wine).
Paul said to Timothy, "No longer drink only water, but use a little wine for your stomach’s sake and your frequent infirmities."
I Timothy 5:23 NKJV
In studying the Bible you should not just store in the brain one or two verses. Please read the entire passage. Pray before reading the Bible. Or better ask pastor's guidance to study the Bible, ma'am.
About alcohol, I think you're very sensitive about that, ma'am.
These are what I read from articles:
"Liver damage due to too much alcohol can stop the liver from making substances that help your blood to clot. This can increase your risk of having a stroke caused by bleeding in your brain."
"Alcohol consumption has a more direct linear relationship with hemorrhagic stroke, such that consumption of even small amounts of alcohol seem to increase risk of hemorrhage. Heavy alcohol consumption is linked to hypertension, as well as poor blood pressure control in hypertensive patients who consume alcohol."
As you already might know, there are risk factors for hemorrhagic stroke ma'am. Alcohol, genetic, etc.
I never said that you should not drink wine or do anything you like ma'am. Your lifestyle is yours ma'am. But I only comment your previous comment, which is : "please don't lecture us with platitudes". What platitudes?
By the way, why are you assuming that I'm pretending to be a doctor, ma'am?
God bless you ma'am.
Thanks a lot for this illustration, I appreciate that!
You're very welcome! Cheers! 😊
Well organized information
Glad you liked it! 😊
This is wonderful! It’s so useful to understand strokes. The best video!
Happy to hear that! ❤️
I would never be able to study if it were not for osmosis . I love you guys so much !! ❤
Glad we can help!
This is the best lecture about brain i have ever seen. Thank you very much.
Wow, thanks for that comment, Hamidur! 😊
Indeed. Extraordinarily presented. I had a TIA about 2 years ago. MRI showed It was in my cerebellum. Doc said about the size of half a golfball tissue loss.
Had some right side coordination issues, that resolved in 3 weeks.
They did corotid, temporal ultrasound for blood flow. They checked for bad heart valves and atrial fibrillation. All good. Doc said that they can pinpoint causation in 50 % . Stayed in ICU 5 days, whilst they monitored and kept blood thin with drugs. Recurrence risk peaks at 4 to 5 days.
Oddly enough , I’d had a bad tooth pulled about a week earlier. There are some reports that suggest that dental “trauma” does irritate the epithelial cells and can increase stroke risk.
Your thought on this would be of interest.
And, thank you for your seriously well presented video!
❤
I wish that I watched this years ago. Well organized and explained information
Thanks for the feedback, Stephen! 🧠 🤓🫀
Yet another awesome presentation! There´s a lot of hard work going into those drawings... You really deserve the 2M Subs. :)

How incredibly well explained. Thank You❤
So nice of you, Elisabeth! 💕

This is fantastic! I am wondering if you might provide a reference for the internal and carotid arteries being the most commonly affected by stroke? Thx!

I had a TPA on 2 Nov and treated and now in a pleasant mood
I had a tia stroke last Sunday this video was really informative
@Osmosis
can this also be confused with drunkedness? i had 2 4lokos a few days ago way too close to eachother, and i blacked out and faded into the hospital. my folks found me bent over holding myself over my own vomit.
Sublime and clear explanation!
Many thanks, Amar! ❤️
I had my first stroke when I was 39. I have retinopathy in my left eye now. No metabolism irregularities, no diabetes. No atherosclerosis (clean arteries). I have profound auto-immune disease including Antiphospholipid Syndrome. I do have irregular deadly bouts of hypertension caused by hyperaldosteronism, not CV disease, likely aggravated by a myelolipoma on my left posterior adrenal gland. Medication that controls this well (Spironolactone) is now causing Addisonian crisis' frequently. Interesting video.

About 4 years ago I had a bad fall. The ER doctor thought I might have had a concussion. The MRI showed no concussion but that I have had several strokes. Everything seems to still work except my writing is poor, short term memory is gone and I get confused easily. I wish I still had enough brain activity to understand this interesting video.
Thanks, for your video, best explanation ever!
Thanks, John! 💕
I had the TIA, 4 STENTS, THE PACEMAKER AND LAST QUINTUPLE. Still hanging in there at 80.
God bless you
Keep going, Dennis! 💕🙏🏼💕
Thank you
I had an ischemic stroke when I was 8 years old (45 years ago) . The whole right side was affected, and now have focal dystonia. They did not have this neat info 45 years ago. I did not have diabetes or smoke. My doctor, the chief pediatric neurologist at Childrens Hospital said it was a "freak accident". I recently had surgery on my right extremities to help them open and to assist with my gait.
The doctors in the ED, where I went to first didn't have a clue, and kept me there from 8pm to about midnight, when they called the ped neurologist. I really would like to know more, but there was not computers back then, so my reports are probably destroyed or in a dusty, old room.
Now how are you
Very very helpful million thanks for this information Blessings

When I returned home from grocery shopping, I found my room mate dead in the tub. He had left loud music playing so I thought he was taking ashower. He had gone for a 30 minute morning walk earlier, when it was only 16 degrees out (Maine). He had high blood pressure, smoked a lot of pot but not cigarretts. He had just turned 65. The coroner said it was a Ishemic stroke.
Sorry for your loss 🙏🏼
thanks a ton.I had an Ischemic stroke last month, I did cta,mra and dsa, found my right vertebral artery(v2) was blocked, what should I do?
My father had an ischemic stoke las Sunday. He went to EC and was transferred to ward later. He had CT scan and MRI scan. I was quite confused why doctor did not use TPA on him. Only aspirin was given to him. Your video is very informative that I realise his stoke might be caused by global reduction of blood flow, a combination of little water intake, cold environment and bad emotion. His symptom was numb and weakness in one arm and dizziness. In his 3days stay in hospital, his arm restored some sensation. Maybe blood supply went a bit normal? But his LDL is not good, doctor put him on cholesterol medicine to prevent future stoke.
Only aspirin was given to him...........this is impossible theoratically and practically ........otherwise they discharged him home //// what's the purpose of this hospitalization if he could easily be treated home.... if only aspririn was given....I thing they did a lot of things
Niacin reduces LDL & raises HDL. I take 3-500 mgs, with food, approximately 4 times week…been taking slow release (Enduracin) niacin for 40 + years. Been against statins for 40 years…mainly read their side effects. Latest (2) major studies that came out few months ago agree with me.
Reducing carbs is essential…knowing carbs is another word for SUGAR!!! Sugar kills every organ in your body…so does fructose! Continue to research all these topics on the web-amazing info your likely not told.
Your father was lucky...
Hi. May I ask? What’s the result of his MRI? Bcoz your story is familiar from ours. 🥺
I still don't understand why the doctor didn't use tPA on him. I think they should've, because studies have shown that many doctors are unsure about it, (especially the ones in the Emergency ward), even though it has been proven effective.
This is a very interesting video that is presented in an excellent manner. The combination of advanced illustrations and a description by a very assured and confident voice, helps to make this subject more understandable. I suffered a TIA in 1991, at age forty- three, which was followed by Epilepsy, and a broken back on two occasions, while attempting to gain control with drugs.
I wish to thank everyone involved in the production of this video.
Your feedback made our day, Robert! Thank you ❤️🙏🏼
It's well organised presentation
Glad you liked it, Mustapha! 💙
Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching! 😊
Hi Sir, thanks for ur vids, but I have a question, well my mother got check up last week and doc said that she has vertigo and high blood but then the only problem is she's hard to speak and to understand things, so on my opinion maybe she got mild stroke, what should I do or what treatment we need to do. Thank u Sir hope u notice me.
Great video but a stroke in the Broca’s area causes expressive aphasia. Dysarthria can occur in many regions.
thanks
Excellent presentation

Does anyone know any more about damage to capillary walls caused by
tobacco ? Is a risk any less for chew ?And might this be inevitable regardless of blood-born lipid concentrations ? Is this known to be irrespective of any genetic markers ?
My gp filled in a TIA referral for me 9 days ago and no one has been in touch yet. I thought i was supposed to assessed quicker than that
Yes...saya mengalami sendiri
Omg i been having this condition since 2017 without knowing!!
I'm glad I find this. xoxoxo
We hope that our video was able to help, Carolyn! 😊
Thanks
You're welcome, Sehat! 💕
Question, is it reversible? If it’s mild that is.
My mom had a stroke tonight. She argued with me about calling the ambulance and that lasted about 15 minutes before I decided to finally call. By the time she was in the hospital and given her dose altepase, it had been a couple hours.
Then she had a blood clot retrieval and the doctor said she has a good chance of having minimal permanent damage and timing was very important. I'm 33 and live at home with her and now I don't even feel guilty about it. I hope someone can get to information fast and does not hesitate.
I am looking forward to her recovering the next few days in the hospital and I can't stress enough how important the medical community is. Be sure to be honest with your doctors about how you feel and take your medications. We recently tried to drop Eliquis and I think it may have something to do with this clot
How long does a patient who had stroke due to a blood clot need to stay on medication? I been hearing different opinions from different doctors some said life long some said 6 months some said 1 year. Why is the opinion so divided? Please could you clarify, thank you.
Unfortunately we don’t provide medical advice through this channel. We’d recommend reaching out to a local health professional for any consultation and diagnosis.
Good information for public

My pleasure. Fact is, a friend of mine has these attacks happening, real bad. So I’ve got an insight now Thanks. From your video I’ve at least come to realise- thank God my friend doesn’t have the other kind- (where the brain vessels actually break open, as opposed to they get blocked).
