    I was following this channel pretty consistently up to the Big 12 adding their 4 teams and staying alive. The machine churns again and I'm back. You guys are a quality channel and it feels like I'm visiting an old friend. Its good to be back, even if the circumstances are incredibly idiotic and will blow up the future of a sport that is already imploding.

    I disagree with those who want to raid the rest of the Pac-?. The LONG TERM best interests of the Big Twelve is to have 5 Power conferences, not two superconferences that matter and the rest don't. We should hopes the PAC-12 makes it like the Big-12 seems to have made it, not swoop in and finish them off. If Oregon and Washington leave and it is clear the PAC 12 is over anyway, then sure add the Arizona Schools and Utah. Maybe Colorado if they act nicer than they did. But that's only if there is no more viable PAC-12 anyway. As long as they can make it, we should not stop them, and really pull for them.

    • @cedeluca2121
      @cedeluca2121 2 года назад

      PAC12 is already done. It's dead. Adding Oregon & Washington, not even mentioning Utah, Arizona, Arizona St, & even Colorado, to the Big12 would do nothing but help the Big12 with $ and ratings, especially with the new tv deal coming in a few years.

    • @earlygenesistherevealedcos1982
      @earlygenesistherevealedcos1982 2 года назад

      @@cedeluca2121 six months ago people were saying the same thing about the Big 12. They were saying the AAC should take its members! The PAC 12 still has five flagship state universities, the TV markets of Phoenix, Seattle, Denver, Portland, and Bay Area. Plus Stanford which has Texas level endowment money. And LA would not be done watching those games.
      You are right that this would give Big-12 a boost because their average schools are bigger and richer than the Big 12 schools- but at what cost? SEC would take Clemson and FL St and UNC, ND would go Big 10, and that would be it. If you were not Big 10 or SEC you would not matter.
      No, the best chance all the other conferences have isn't being a distant third in a world with two superconferences. It is doing everything they can to keep the SEC BIG Axis from raiding the rest, especially ND.
      The three should form a REAL Alliance and put it in writing. Axis vs Allies. None of them will be the first to take a member from another, all will have high exit fees, and none of them will schedule a non-conference game with the Axis. Give ND something to think about. If they joined the BIG then all their non-conference games would have to be SEC or group of five. If they joined the Alliance (ACC) then they and they alone could schedule BIG and SEC- but in exchange for the ACC getting this help from the other two to land ND, the conference would share a certain amount of the money they get from adding ND with the other two.
      As for playoffs, they should impost a six team playoff with one spot for league champ from each of the five and one "best of the rest". Every time the first games are PAC vs Best of Rest, SEC vs BIG, ACC vs Big 12. Draw straws to see who gets the by. If the BIG and SEC don't like it, the three have their own playoffs with four slots and declare their own national champion until such time as the networks pay huge and on par money to settle it with a NC. The bowl games will love it because you won't know for sure how members of the two sides stack up against each other until bowl season

    • @cedeluca2121
      @cedeluca2121 2 года назад

      @@earlygenesistherevealedcos1982 Man you are so clueless. PAC12 is DEAD. It's been dying for years. People overexaggerated the "demise" of the BIG12 just because OU & UT were leaving for the SEC. BIG12 has way more going for it than the PAC12 has had for years. Arizona St, Arizona, Utah, & Colorado are meeting with BIG12 today, which will most likely end up with them leaving the PAC12 for the BIG12. And Oregon & Washington aren't wanted by the BIG10 because they don't bring in enough $$. Which means more than likely they will eventually leave the PAC12 as well, most likely joining the BIG12.

    • @earlygenesistherevealedcos1982
      @earlygenesistherevealedcos1982 2 года назад

      @@cedeluca2121 and people exaggerated the demise of the PAC-10 just because USC and UCLA leave- unless the Big 12 finishes them off. If they do it still won't come close to closing SEC BIG gap while at the same destroying any leverage the other three could use against the SEC BIG axis.
      Then the BIG gets ND and SEC gets Clemson and NC and it is game over. Big 12 needs to go beyond helping itself in a way that helps the AXIS more and find a way to STOP the Axis. This plan to destroy the PAC does nothing to stop the Axis, indeed it helps them get ND and raid the ACC.
      Even worse, and more short-sighted, the Big 12 is risking poisoning the well with the PAC just by having the meeting and there is no assurance those schools will be any better off financially joining the Big 12 than staying put. Big 12 may not get the schools anyway, and if they do it will be because they promise them terms that will make the other four members coming in upset.
      A real lack of wisdom and foresight all around here. Reminds me of an idiot guy going for a hot mess rather than thinking things through and choosing a woman who will be a great wife and partner.

    • @cedeluca2121
      @cedeluca2121 2 года назад

      @@earlygenesistherevealedcos1982 Nobody overexaggerated the demise of the PAC, it's been dying for years and everyone knows it.
      There is no AXIS and ALLIES, this is college football and the writing is on the wall of expansion and realignment. Conference has to look out for itself and that's all that matters. The BIG12 is doing what it needs to do to survive and make sure that they can become the #3 conference in America. UCF, CINN, Houston, & BYU won't be upset by the conference bringing in UA, ASU, UTAH, & COLO. That makes absolutely no sense. BIG12 won't have to do anything about promising them certain extra terms, the schools know that the PAC is imploding and won't bring in any kind of $ that they once did. They are smart and want out of the conference as well. They know that the BIG12 TV deal coming up in a couple years is going to be a lot better than anything they can get if they stay in a failing PAC. There is no "lack of wisdom or foresight" here at all on behalf of the BIG12.
      You need to just be honest with yourself and admit conferences aren't going to work together. Every conference is only worried about themselves. It's how it has always been and always will be. Reality is that the BIG12 is in a perfect position to raise the bar. PAC is failing (demise is very real especially since all they have the ability to do now is take teams from the MWC lol), and the ACC is stuck in a HORRIBLE deal lasting another 10-15 years (especially when the SEC is already mulling over what teams to poach, most likely being Clemson, Miami, Florida St, & UNC by giving them money to help them out of the deal they're stuck in). Which like i said, will make the BIG12 the 3rd super conference, not on par with SEC or BiG10, but clearly #3. And that's the best they can hope for.

    This is a dicey situation. If the Big XII truly goes big and pursues Washington and Oregon, then UCF and West Virginia will feel extremely stretched. Arizona, Arizona State, and Utah would be great fits, but would be nice to get Colorado too.
    The PAC-12 will try to hold together with expansion with perhaps San Diego State, Colorado State, etc., but there is a real chance that Oregon and Washington will want to get top dollar for their brands and join the Big 10.
