Best coaching job by Matt Campbell. Look how many players had playing time this year, which is over 100 mostly due to injury. They had 10 Linebackers out at one time and were playing a walk-on at middle linebacker for 3 games. Top two or three tight ends were injured most of the year.
Malzahn was an SEC coach once upon a time and he just left his Big XII team to be a coordinator in the ACC because things were too rugged in the Big XII
@@signaturedetailaz I’m an Iowa State fan since I’m from Iowa. Before Matt Campbell they were ass with the only good win being over Oklahoma State in 2011
@@ugfpandas007From '91 through Campbell, Iowa State built their fan base by consistently getting 1 or more massive underdog wins a year. Once they beat Oklahoma in '91 and Nebraska in '92, the belief that ISU was going to scrape their way up in the football world was born.

Coach of the year stuff.
Coach of the year stuff? That goes to Kenny dillingham by farrrr
@@signaturedetailaz Dillingham is motivator of the year but there’s not an award for that
@signaturedetailaz meh Campbell has won COTY enough times already. Eyes on bigger accomplishments right now
@@signaturedetailazKenny Dillingham idolizes Matt Campbell and even copies several of Campbell's catch phrases.

Campbell is the man for sure. Right man for the right place.
What’s more remarkable is what Kenny dillingham has done at ASU
@@signaturedetailaz Not really. Considering the program Iowa State had when Campbell came. It was quite literally the worst FBS program of all time.
@lazardprodz were they picked to be last in the big 12? Iowa state won 7 games last year asu won 10. ASU turnaround has been faster.

@ Yes. Iowa State had been last or second to last in the conference for like 6 straight seasons before Campbell took the job.
Do you buy that Malzahn gave up a $12M buyout if he expected to be fired?
Be a bit more remarkable if they didn't give up 45 points and 10 yards per rush in the biggest game of the year....
