Its quite possible that Oda, for time reasons, will demostrate all (or most) of Roger's attacks through Shanks. Also, another way to interpret Kamusari is like you the opponent are departing this "world" via godly "influence".
Whenever this attack gets featured in the anime, it needs to have one of two vibes. The first one is mirroring when Rojer used Devine Departure against Oden. The second, is when Luffy punched Saint Charlos so hard that it probably cost the animation department three months of their budget.

Kamusari is probably specifically a one handed attack. So it might have just been a basic move for Roger. But shanks turned it into his own signature attack.
Also, Roger and Shanks swing their swords in opposite directions for Kamusari. Prolly means nothing though.
Or knowing Oda it means literally everything lol

I'm weird with attack names. I like super long convoluted names for simple attacks, and simple short names for complicated attacks.
Like the attack name might be "super mind crush of the heavenly downward strike" and the attack itself would be simply hitting someone on top of the head with a stick.

I like how grand line review described it, he basically said it’s an attack they use to send the the message “Your far to weak to face me” it’s like swatting a fly, hence Divine Departure using divine strength to make your opponent depart.
It is canon now: Roger Defeated Shiki by throwing a full diaper from shanks at him covered in conqueror's haki.

Shiki was then just so perturbed- and frankly disturbed- by this that he hit his own head into that ship's wheel*
Craziest thing is this attack probably was Rogers base move. His equivalent to gum gum pistol or gum gum bullet.

Literally the same attack just with both hands and more haki. With Oden, Roger wasn't serious lol he only got serious when Whitebeard came

This was awesome tekking, I believe it was Odens first time seeing ryu conquerors haki. Later on he actually learned how to code his swords with ryu and was at his peek in his fight with Kaido. Really cool name Devine departure!!

Just a reminder that mihawk didn’t see shanks worth fighting with 1 arm, he did THAT with 1 arm. Imagine him doing that with 2 arms
@@FTW1230 would barely make a difference. the key to that is the haki. Also the movement requires 1 arm, an extra arm would only add a bit more momentum to the attack

Shanks meeting the Gorosei seems much less suspicious as time goes on. For one, the Gorosei's actions always seem to err on the side of caution. For two, Shanks does not seem to be an antagonistic force to the WG at all (until his decision to go after the One Piece. From what we can tell he didn't even look for poneglyphs). For three, he's quite possibly the strongest person alive. It just wouldn't be worth their time trying to fight him. The only real issue they could have with him is his protection of islands that could otherwise be paying heavenly tribute, which sure the WG take that seriously but not enough to start a war with the strongest guy on the planet already having infiltrated their home.
They're fine with Warlords just having their own place and just doing whatever they pleased. Don't think they'd care if it was Shanks doing it. They even let Rayleigh kinda wander as he pleases too. Cause it all boils down to not be worth losing a ton of resources just to take down someone who'll generally mind their own business. Specially to someone they can't enforce authority so easily.
@@Martin-yh7vi Yup. Though we can assume Shanks' empire is a bit bigger than Gloomy Kingdom, or Amazon Lily, the same basic idea applies.

This might be very offensive if I'm wrong, but english isn't your first language, right? There are OP fans all over the world. Make your videos in your own language. There is much more competition in this space with english-speaking content creators, and I'm sure the fans who speak your language would appreciate your videos much more. I also think you'd be able to articulate your ideas better in your first language. Your english is not bad, but the way you phrase things is a little awkward. Why fail in the big market when you can succeed in the smaller one?
Luke Skywalkers Lightsaber is green. The blue one, which was Anikins, is what he used until he made his own, which was green.

A few points:
*Oden was strong enough to scar Kaido
*Oden wasn't injured by Gol's attack, just thrown far away
*Kidd was charging up the attack he used to push Big Mom into the magma hole with the full intention of destroying Shanks's fleet
*Kaido got scared when he was told Big Mom was on her way to Wano
*Shanks's attack severely injured Kidd
All those points lead me to think Shanks's attack against Kidd was *significantly* stronger than Gol against Oden.
Anyway, I think the next time we see this move used will be when Shanks encounters the Cross Guild. He'll attack Mihawk with it, Mihawk will deflect it towards Buggy, Buggy will split and avoid it and then rant at them both to watch what the Hell they're doing. Then, the three of them will have a funny moment of Shanks asking why did Mihawk join up with Buggy.

It's clear that Oda still has that dichotomy in mind, even if it's not explicit (if he had stuck with that, it would have been difficult to play with villains becoming allies of circumstance, it makes the world much more rigid).

hey i live in northern sweden and we have a ridiculous amount of snakes that live here sometimes you can find up to 15 snakes in our garden and it can freeze here all year round, like last year in august it was suddenly -6 degrees Celsius. so yes your explanation is very correct. ps keep going with the Animal facts I love them
The cool part not only does Getsuga Tenshou n Kamusari share the similar color scheme, they in essence mean the same too. One being "Moon fang heaven piercer" n other being "divine departure".

I'm so happy you finally said it, Roger was definitely weaker because of the sickness Brago just can't accept Roger wasn't in his full strength in that fight between Roger and Prime Whitebeard. I really don't understand how people say "Roger was sick but still as strong as he was in his prime" when that is just not true in the slightest with Whitebeard being sick literally gave the marines a chance to win in marineford so that's 100% not true. Roger's sickness didn't effect his strength. Whitebeard became the strongest man way before Roger got sick and they would clash all the time. What we see in Oden's flashback was their LAST meeting and Whitebeard comments on how Roger didn't seem sick to him, that he was fighting normally. This ain't Itachi from Naruto lol
because there no indication roger was nerfed at that point...
If oda really wanted to portray sick roger being nerfed, then he would've done that, instead we have wb saying "you look well roger"...

@Pan Africanism is a scam But it still shows that Roger wasn't the same as his prime, just like Whitebeard wasn't the same in marineford granted he also had old age as well which hurt him but Roger without a doubt was not in his peak during the Oden flashback like Shanks is now at his Peak currently in the story.(just so this doesn't get confused I have Current Shanks over the Roger we've seen but if we see God Valley Roger THAT is a whole different story and if we never see prime Roger than I'll gladly take the L but I bet there's a reason Roger and whitebeard had 5 billion berry bounties and Shanks doesnt.)

Didn’t Oden explicitly get a lot stronger over his journey? Presumably he’d be at his peak when he goes back to Wano. I’m not positive when he joins Roger relative to the length of his journey as a whole, but I think he still had a sizable amount of his trip left when he joined up with roger so it’d be a safe bet to guess that he still had a sizable amount of growing and improving left to do. So I’d say calling his clash there his peak wouldn’t really be fair. Especially since he seems so below white beard and roger that it makes Kaido’s top 5 of all time list feel a bit more sketchy.
I still crystal clearly remember the day i read that chapter. Man, after we witnesing Oden just casualy diving head first to Murakumogiri and giving Young Newgate a shock, ... Roger make that same Oden flew a couple of miles away. Dang. I was pretty much Oden readinv that chapt.
Actually in the manga it was stated that Oden was much stronger upon returning to Wano after his journey. When Oden got Kamusari'd he was probably around half as strong as when he fought Kaido because it was the halfway point in his jouney.

Although Kaido and Big mom´s combo attack was awesome. I really envy Japanese , you can kinda have different meanings in a seemingly small words. (Kaido big mom Attack was called Hakai, literaly destruction or something like that, but the translation is Conquest of the sea, very cool)

I don't think Shanks was trying to kill Kid, he was aiming for the center of the Damned Punk's barrel, because it was the main problem facing his friends right at that moment, meaning both Kid and Killer were just collateral damage of the Kamusari's residual shock wave (explaining why Kid has no slashing wound to his chest like the one Zoro received from Mihawk).
Oden also never had a slash across his chest. The attack doesn't just bypass kids durability and defenses. Shanks went all in there attempting to put a quick end to kid in order to prevent his comrades from being injured. Shanks was serious there.

So you are saying that the Kamusari that somehow cut the barrel of a rail gun (built to withstand high explosive pressure) in two but was not suppose to cut into Kid's flash even if Shanks wanted to? Oden's swords were not cut either so I would say he was also hit by the residual shockwave from Roger's Kamusari therefore explaining he was also not cut but pushed away.

oden was such a beast to take rogers divine departure right to the face and he still ended up standing with just few scratches.
Roger wasn't serious he was skipping and saying hello. Remember he said he wanted to meet Oden and eventually took him on his crew, Shanks vs Kidd was Shanks being 100% serious and angry cuz Kidd would of killed Shanks fleet and using a massive version of divine departure that caused an explosion lol
Oden also said he almost died, if he didn't block who knows what would have happened

I think he got hit in the gut, based on how he was flying backwards. I know it’s not real life but if physics were involved his back from the point of his stomach was the thing flying back first compared to the rest of his body. It was the same when G4 Luffy took a Thunder Bagua to the stomach.

Protect Tekking at all cost
I think the reason why Roger was able to name such a basic attack and why it got so much respect was simply because Roger's Kamusari was on a different level than what others could perform. So a weak Kamusari is not actually a Kamusari, it needs to hit a certain threshold of power to be worthy of the name.

At 15:05 tekking talking about Mihawk should be able to use kamusari. I feel like that’s the move used during the marine war at buggy and cutting that ice glacier maybe it looks similar in early one piece. We weren’t able to see haki because Luffy couldn’t just my guess?
