Bedrock Edition ported would actually work real well, I think it's C++? Someone ought to give it a try. There is a minecraft clone out there (name escapes me) claimed to be better in every way, had this dad showing his two kids playing it.. anyone remember the name? Anyway, he built it from the ground up and was supposed to be even more optimized than bedrock was. I think at the very least, a Mac Pro G4 should still be able to play the latest and greatest with a good amount of frames. There's that one channel that assembled the fastest Mac Pro G4 system, complete with GPU, and was able to manage 48fps solid on Java. What someone REALLY should do is try to get a Radeon HD 3850 and flash it with a custom ROM for Mac and get a driver going.
I think I know what video you're talking about, and i really was impressed. tho I think if someone could take the raspberry pi version of Minecraft and port it that would be impressive too
You can't even play bedrock edition on a modern Mac. On modern macs you can only play Java edition unless you have an intel Mac and you boot camp to windows
The iMac g3 was technically a hand my down from my dad around the years 2004ish? i was very young at the time when i got it and i remember messing around a lot with it and having a blast. kind of funny how it can sort of run minecraft- but its 100% getting very very old.
Never thought I'd see another fur as interested in old tech as I am. My dad just gave me his old iMac G4, so I get to tinker with some old Mac stuff too!
@@JeffPerson Sorry for the delay on replies but it should be the mirror copy and it should run a lot better on that machine compared to the one seen in the video
This is really cool 👍

This was more intended for higher-end G4 and G5 computers but it still wouldn't proform as well on higher-end machines using PPC processors

@@FoxintoshPlus wow! You draw so good! And thx for answering
Someone once ran Minecraft on a Windows 98 laptop donno if that's lower than the IMac g3 however
What are the specs of this imac g3? I see you have 512mb RAM, but what are the CPU and GPU of this machine?
Apologies for the late reply but this is a 450mhz machine in terms of gpu I'm not too sure perhaps a ATI rage 128 with 8mbs of vram

Hey is everything ok; I’ve been trying to get ahold of you
why is the screen flickering?
It's due to the refresh of the CRT being higher compared to the camera
you are unbanned from my server but only if you play on the g3
XDDDD deal but It only runs 1.2.5
how did you get that OS on there? which imac do you have?
This is a 2000 sage iMac g3 450 MHz
