YOU HAVE DONE A BRILLIANT JOB IN MAKING THIS VEDIO THESE CARS ARE HORRIABLE TO WORK ON . THANK YOU VERY MUCH YOUR VEDIO IS A MUST SEE IF ANYONE IS GOING TO DO THIS JOB.
Horrible cars to work on! One tip I picked up for doing the springs that twist into the backplate on drum-brake cars, is to cable-tie them compressed and then just cut the cable ties and pull them out when in position..
I enjoyed everything until the moment the copper paste was applied on the hub surface. That is not according manufacturers requirements. Disc need's to be mounted on a naked, glossy clean surface.
You're right, but even at the official workshop some nasty paste was applied, also on the wheel bolts btw (which is a no-go of course). I did it the "correct" other way when changing the front brake discs and the hub areas were severely rusted already half a year later 🙄
@@AUTOdidact77 Well, on the rear it is not so critical as it is on front. Big risk of having throw in the rotors after a short distance max 1000-2000km Today i disassambled my E class coupe rear brakes to check the state of it. It appeared that the parking brake system is completely rotten. That's why i ended watching your video😏

Thanks! Good to know that it can't get much worse 😀
You’re definitely right. Those springs are a horrible. Tried your method today and it makes the install better. Thanks
