I like my Rosemary & Co. Ivory synthetic bristles. Beautifully made. They come in specializes shapes, besides typical shapes. Long flat, and I just ordered Ivory Daggers. I get them (2021-22) from Wind River Arts, in Texas.

There are plenty of brands of synthetic brushes that mimic hog birstle quite sufficiently.

Colors that fade are “fugitive”. Effort had been made to fix that.
