I did enjoy this video Deborah. The way you transformed the knobs in your kitchen really does work. I've done this and my daughter told me that her hubby (my son in law) could not get over the difference. He kept telling her "I am not quite sure how your mom did this!" Hi Cindy! I was going to replace all the knobs, but there are about 42 or so. Knobs are several dollars each these days. I originally tried to strip the lacquer off so that I would have unlacquered brass, which I love. But it just wasn't working out. So I went a different route and I love how they turned out. Tell your son in law you have The Magic Touch... 😉 Paint makes ALL the difference. I hope you have an amazing weekend! Xoxoxo

For me its all about the much anticipated kitchen reveal. I appreciate how you dont rush but you choose to be extra careful and you dont "settle" for anything other than perfection. This is a great life lesson for many of us, myself included, who become excited and tend to rush things and then find the finished result could have been better by taking more care. The door knobs and handles - fabulous. xx

Hi Karen! I love adding shelves. Lumber has gotten so much higher. You can use an old shutter, any scrap wood, etc. Because I needed such a long and wide piece, I went to a local lumber yard. They were less expensive than Lowe's or Home Depot. Have fun! Send a photo, if you can! (On IG) Xoxoxo

I do think it was soooo the right decision to get rid of the one that was there when you moved in! What about brining the French piece we saw you paint down to your kitchen/dining area?!? I think you could put that in front of the brick wall and you can decorate that seasonally as you would a mantle piece! I LOVE the chairs at your table too! Omg! Good evening! I like white cabinets, too. We are going to live with them for a while. Eventually, I'd love to do a full remodel and get new appliances, but we have other priorities to wall with first. So, I'm doing some small, budget friendly DIYS to help warm it up in there in the meantime. Changing the wall color really helped the white cabinets look better, too! Xoxoxo

However, I may paint the metal curtain rods, but I haven't decided. 🤔 I'm excited to get the island, too! I think it will help ground the whole room. That video should be up next week! Deborah, everything is coming together nicely! The cabinet hardware looks amazing! Your cabinets have some fancy new “jewelry.” Sometimes little changes can make major statements. Just like the shelf above the window. And converting a useless space to a useful trash can pull-out is genius! You scored some great goodies and I love those fall florals. Do you have an item # for the first bush you showed? It had a purple tag but I didn’t see a number. I can’t wait to see your new island in place. Oh, and the new paint color in the kitchen is 🤌. Good evening! I like white cabinets, too. We are going to live with them for a while. Eventually, I'd love to do a full remodel and get new appliances, but we have other priorities to wall with first. So, I'm doing some small, budget friendly DIYS to help warm it up in there in the meantime. Changing the wall color really helped the white cabinets look better, too! Xoxoxo

I know I am going to love that shelf above your window and can't wait to see the different seasons decorated on it. I sure hope you get your kitchen Island soon, because this room is coming together so nicely. The knob makeover looks fantastic and what a great idea on the trash receptacle. Popped into Lexington HL Monday and they were 90% off on spring decor tagged items. Wasn't a whole lot left but I've never seen it that low. I'm not quite ready for Fall decorating yet and prefer to wait until September as well but all of you lovely home decor youtubers are quickly getting me in the mood. LOL!

Hi Sandy! I may have 1 more video out before the tutorial. Mainly because I changed the mortar color.... for like the 10th time. Lol. It changed the look of the whole wall and I like it much better. I'll explain why in this week's video. At the moment, my house is a complete disaster zone. The goal is to add built in drawer and shelf storage in the bonus room walls.
