    Hallo Jessie, diesmal habe ich auf meinem MBPro mid/2014 ohne gesonderten DL der KDK das update über die Systemsteuerung laufen lassen. Das MB läuft mit 14.3.1. Eine Besonderheit wollte ich trotzdem mal anmerken. Leider kann ich nicht replizieren seit welcher Sonoma Version das Problem auftritt. Das Macbook hat sein einigen Wochen Probleme beim Aufladen. Die Batteriehealth ist bei 83%, was ja gar nicht schlecht für ein 10 Jahre alten Akku ist. Wenn ich das original Ladegerät dranhänge, geht entweder die rote oder gründe LED gar nicht an oder schaltet sich nach wenigen Minuten aus. Ich habe erst gedacht, dass das Ladegerät oder das Kabel defekt sei und es mit einem anderen (nicht originalem) Ladegerät versucht. Dies ging auch wieder eine Zeit lang ohne Vorkommnisse. Dann habe ich mit Ladegerät 2 die gleichen Probleme wie mit Ladegerät 1. Ein weiterer Versuch mit Ladegerät 3, endete im gleichen Fehlverhalten. Ergo, liegt es wohl nicht am Ladegerät, aber wohl auch nicht am Akku. Bleibt also nur das Betriebssystem? Ich habe dann den SMC Reset durchgeführt. Jetzt lädt er wieder auf 100% auf. Soweit so gut, aber wie lange wird das klappen? Der SMC Reset Prozess läuft ja abhängig vom Chip der verbaut ist. Da ich mit meinem MB logischerweise kein Applechip habe, führe ich das SMC Reset nach Anleitung eines Intelchips durch. Könnte da vllt das Problem liegen - weil eigentlich die Hardware nicht mehr zum OS passt und daher ein automatisierter Vorgang wie das Batteriemanagement anders läuft? Und es dadurch erforderlich wird öfters ein SMC Reset durchzuführen als üblich, um den Ladevorgang wieder anzustossen? Was meinst du? Beste Grüße Soti

    • @JessiesFlying
      @JessiesFlying  8 месяцев назад +1

      also ich kenne keine Besonderheiten beim Laden die durch das Betriebssystem gesteuert werden. Aber vielleicht ist es ähnlich zu iOS wo versucht wird durch Nutzerverhalten die beste Ladestrategie herauszufinden. Vielleicht im macOS mal alle automatischen Timings, Focus, optimiertes Laden und was es sonst noch alles in dieser Richtung gibt abschalten. Aber grundsätzlich sollte das MB wenn es komplett heruntergefahren ist voll aufladen. Wenn es das nicht tut muss es eigentlich an der Hardware (Ladecontroller?) liegen.... oder etwas wird zu warm beim Laden...

    I’ve had a Mac Pro 5,1 with open core on it for a couple of years now. Had Ventura installed and ran great, I never had any issues with upgrades via the USB route. For some reason It failed an update and even starting from scratch now with a open core USB that I know works on other Open core Mac Pro machines my own personal one always fails the install. This happens even if it is the only hard drive the latest open core prepped USB with Ventura or Sonoma version. For that matter any open core made USB Mac OS that is not natively supported.

      When doing a fresh Opencore Flash drive install on a newly APFS formatted and only installed SSD. It installs through the first round where it shows time remaining. Then after its first automatic reboot it gets to the 1/3rd spot which has been discussed. then after some time with no interaction it will just keep getting to that spot and rebooting after hanging for a few minutes. When I try to do the safe-mode install by holding the shift button as it boots to the drive at that point it shows the apple logo and hangs up right after the progress bar just starts to get populated.
      I do have an AMD RX5700 XT installed which always worked perfectly before this happened and have tried removing it and using the old original non metal ATI Radeon card with the same result. I can get my hands on a RX580 if you think its a better choice for the issue at hand. I also tried manually installing the proper KDK's for the OS version I was trying to install. The only other thing I can think of without getting help is I did update my wireless card so that AirDrop works, it was never an issue until Ventura was attemped. Now I can't even do an install of Monterey to restore my Time Machine backups. Let me know if you want a verbose screenshot of when it hangs up or some kind of log.
