  • This was a month ago, but we found a celebrity showed up to the party! 1987 Chevy Celebrity makes its way to the yard, but apparently has 53k original miles, the iron duke, and is pretty much rust free. Does this deserve to be back on the road? Will someone save it?

      There's probably that one guy out there who would pay a "premium" for a mint one.

    my friend had an '86 Celebrity Eurosport fully loaded with power everything sun roof and great sounding Delco Sound System with 5 band EQ. His was the 2.8 MPFI V6. Car had some balls and could spin the wheels pretty easily.

      Fully loaded sounds like a treat, I'm sure these cars had some fun factors when done right!

      My Dad also had an 86 in the early 90s was a 4 door model with the 2.8V6 and yes seemed like it was fast for the time. The 82 to 86 had the older look though with the sealed beam headlights and older dashboard design. Ours was charcoal grey with matching grey cloth interior. Was nice car! Seeing one in existence brings back nostalgic memories

    53k on this is like 200k on any Japanese or even American car of the last 20 years.

    • @HotMustang

      I think these were pretty okay, just depends on if it was taken care of.

    If it ran and drove perfectly, then yes 1200 all day. But I don’t think there’s a lot that’s perfect in this car.

    • @HotMustang
      @HotMustang  Месяц назад

      Yeah there's some flaws in the paint, interior, and the engine sitting. Best part is probably it being a rust free two door.

    It not that bad for daily drive car
    Since it low mileage this going break down Since haven't been driven alot and it old car
    That price is litter high selling that car that high because low mileage parts going to break down ill wouldn't buy it

    • @HotMustang
      @HotMustang  Месяц назад

      It fits the daily driver category for sure! The low miles wouldn't be all bad if it was stored and maintained properly, but judging by the hood nest, it's going to need some work.

  • @sibhuskyguy
    @sibhuskyguy Месяц назад +1

    That chevy is not worth much.. The second you see a nest like that under the hood you have to walk away... Not even offering the 100 or so they gave the previous owner to tow it as junk. what does it need? everything.... gtfoh with that.... every single thing on the car is jury rigged is the /chefskiss of death.

    • @HotMustang
      @HotMustang  Месяц назад

      Yeah that nest was honestly concerning, I could tell it likely didn't run just from that. I'm sure it could run again, but you would have to deal with the electrical system which could be risky.
